It will be the second one in the family. Old Jess is still limping on at my Mum’s house.

I see what you're saying but he's always been a sore loser. The reason why his interviews were refreshing is because they've won almost every game for the last 2 years

It’s not often a player comes as a bit part player and becomes first name on the team sheet.
We could have spent £3 million and got worse value!

Burnley scored a potential Puscas award winner (bicycle kick into the top corner) to draw things level.
Brailsford scored a decent goal himself from the edge of the box to put us back in the lead.
FT 2-1 to the young Rams ?

Delighted for Morgan, gutted for us.
700k is peanuts for a player of his pedigree and potential. If he’d come to us for that money we’d be raving over him. Over the next couple of year’s he’s going to blossom into something special. His next move will be for an 8 figure sum.
How do I know? Because he has a good first touch, can carry the ball at pace, has lovely balance and knows where the net is. And I’ve been saying the same for a good couple of years now.
And let’s not forget that the Derby sales team let Emil Rys Jakobson go for free when a year later he’s being sold for 1.2m. Whittaker will make that pearl look like a world class bit of business.
The story in a nutshell? Sold at a ridiculously low bargain price to free up a space because we’re under a soft embargo.

I'm especially happy for him as this is the first time he's been seen since being subbed off as a sub against Stoke.
The last time we saw him he was walking off the pitch with his shirt over his head in an attempt to disguise how upset he was.
He didn't really celebrate his goal today with any vigour but hopefully there are more goals to come for him.

I think he has to show his aggression through football not petulance.
If he’s being ‘bullied’, the best way to react is to make the bully look stupid, which he has the tricks to do. Like many in the team, he needs to learn when to dribble past players and when to give and receive the ball to pass them. We know he can shoot, but can he fashion the chances to do so against an organised defence?
When he defends, the important thing is to get goal side and hold his player up whilst teammates get into position. Giving away cheap free kicks will punish his teammates, not help them.
He’s young, but he needs to learn quicker or he’ll become another promising academy player that didn’t quite make it.

I think it is a combination of two things - physical strength and temperament.
His upper body strength allows him to be pushed off the ball too easily. I think he's busy working on that from bits I have seen on his social media.
His temperament is different,  I think he's got to curb that if he wants to progress. Picked up another booking last night despite only being on the pitch a few minutes.
I think this aggression is partly a response to coming out on the wrong side of physical battles and then retaliating, so is actually linked to his physical strength. Let's hope as the first improves, the other does too.
Louie for me is the most exciting of our younger players in terms of what he could bring to the team creativity wise. Just needs to keep working at it and he will get there.
As others have mentioned, he'd get more game time if we weren't in such a precarious position in the table.

As with Kaide, I have mixed emotions about this. On the one hand, if the £3M figure for Kaide is true and we're securing decent add-ons, it's hard to walk away. Likewise if Manure are offering silly money for the others. That said, it's such a shame that kids this young are leaving well before they've even had a squeak at first team football.
On a separate note, the powers that be need to have a look at the current regs. In this post-Brexit apocalyptic and dystopian new world order, allowing Premiership clubs to raid lower division academies might not bode well for EFL clubs unless the mandatory compo levels are looked at.

BBC weather forecasts where they show the temperatures for the next five days in Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Belfast and about half the UKs population don't live within 200 miles of these places. Not sure why it bothers me so much, but it does!

The Liverpool game was my 18th birthday, I hadn't got a ticket but a neighbour who was a steward gave me a complimentary ticket, only problem was it was in the away end. It was at the height of the hooligan problem but I still decided to go anyway. I stood right in the middle of the scouser's not dareing to speak and I remember just nodding once when the bloke next to me asked me my opinion. They were worried when big Rog came on for Leighton James and of course he justified his super sub tag with the goal. It was difficult but I had to feign disapointment with the rest of them around me when the goal went in but inside I was secretly elated.

You loan back players who would be starters - the likes of Buchanan and Knight - not those who are fringe players which Gordon is at the moment. We have others who can fill that role at the moment such as JML, Whittaker, etc... I'd rather spend 6 months developing them than 6 months developing a fringe player for another club at the expense of our own players.
Delap was playing against our 2nd string U23 defence, with only Archie starting if everyone was fit: Ebosele, McDonald, Minkley and Wassall. Sykes-Kenworthy is behind Foster, Idem and Yates in goal, and even the midfield was missing JBrown, Hutchinson, Watson and Dixon. I'm not surprised Delap looked a cut above our U23s... but his record at that level is almost identical to Stretton's so far this season, so I don't think we're missing out on much.

I’ve just spent a few hours stranded in my car, what I witnessed filled me with faith and pride. There was a group of local students, latterly joined by others, pushing cars up the hill in the snow. It was basically a blizzard and freezing and these selfless people, with no expectation of reward, spent easily 3 hours pushing cars up the road. ?? i salute you all.

Totally agree with you, he should have waited, he was close with us and with his contacts he’d have had another decent year is suspect had he stayed, probably Fik would have done too, who knows who else we would have got, all speculative now. He just couldn’t resist though could he, it was his “dream” job.
Agree too that they screwed us, with little respect, we did milk them for money, just got hung out to dry on our next season planning; so I find it hard to have much sympathy.
He’ll be back in the media, if nothing else and whilst he may lose some shine, I still think most Chelsea fans will remember him for the player he was. You have to think of Roy Mac and Toddy, neither were a huge managerial success for us but they were still playing greats and it’s pretty enshrined in our history they were.
One thing nobody mentions is Jody, I hope he has a role somewhere because he’s a decent coach and he still followed us on social media after they had gone.

I liked Lampard when he was Derby manager. Just didn't like the way he dithered about the Chelsea job at the end, that ruined our pre-season.
It's interesting to note that Wayne Rooney (19 points) has secured more points from his first 12 match as Derby manager than Lampard got (18 points), remembering that Lampard had the luxury of having the likes of Mount, Wilson, Tomori, Keogh etc to choose from.

I don't tend to take this secret scout fella seriously. In the Lampard season they felt he could make the step up to the first team the following season. To most watching the U23s, that has never been a  realistic possibility. Then here they say Buchanan's main flaw is his physicality. For the record, he's won the 2nd most aerial battles in the league despite only playing in 15 of our 24 games so far.
