Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to Tyler Durden in Matchday Thread: 19/7/22Stevenage (a) 19:30ko.
Bit bemused about some of the reactions to the points being made which are a remnant or hangover more appropriately from last seasons away performances.
There's an adage if it ain't broken don't fix it but what's the equivalent one regards if it's not working?
Would have thought that we've endured the learning curve from all of last season to cement the fact that messing around at the back and a ponderous, negative set up away from home yielded us little in dividends so not sure why we are still persisting?
Anyhows not particularly fussed about the result more our insistency to labour a playing "style" that has borne little dividends in the last season.

A change in style for away games could give us an additional 10-12 points over a season, we might not win many, but we’ll stop the never ending away defeats. Most of our goals conceded last season were from us giving the ball away cheaply and leaving our defence exposed. It had to change - they say a definition of madness is ‘keep doing the same thing, but expecting a different outcome’.
Its also bloody boring football !!

Not bothered about tonight really but I think you are absolutely spot on here.
We won 3 out of 23 away games last season. How we were set up Way clearly didn't work yet we just carried on playing the same way.
We can't seem to play against teams that press us. There's a time and a place to playing out from the back.

Apparently there’s a LB coming on trail from rangers. Interest in Ali Koiki is real but would definitely need to sell to buy. Other than that I have no clue who else

We will get compo as we offered him a contract. I seem to remember reading it was agreed but not certain.

not sure if this has been mentioned before, but surely the correct procedure is to request a transfer.
this trying to wriggle out of his contract that he was so willing to sign, looks to me like hes trying to get a bigger signing on fee and wages. as hed have saved any club that transfer fee

I thought so but wasn’t certain. ?
Anyway I reckon we have had 11 incoming and 11 out if you include Joz and Shinnie
There’s room for 2 or 3 I reckon

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to StaffsRam in Ali Koiki - Signed for Northampton
“Derby have had to operate in the free transfer market because the business plan agreed with the Football League as part of Clowes' takeover dictates they can not pay fees for players.”
I imagine the EFL were quite pleased with themselves when they agreed this. I highly suspect that the squad they envisaged we’d put together is nothing like the one we actually have. Haha unlucky bell-ends.
Also, if we can’t pay fees then I’d put the blockers on letting anyone go as well. May as well keep our assets if we can’t reinvest any incoming fees.

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to BaaLocks in Paul Ryder RIP
If you're of a certain age you will clearly remember just how new and fun the Happy Mondays were as a band. They sounded like nothing that had been before. Paul Ryder, bass player and brother of Shaun (described by Tony Wilson as Britain's best poet since W B Yeats) was a pillar of that sound and 58 is no age, even with the amount of over indulgences they all partook of.

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Craig Forsyth - Signed one year contract
Probably in the minority but I'm just not fussed. I've never rated him even before his ops and that performance against Sheff Wednesday was horrific and in any normal circumstance would have been game over . If hes' playing hard ball let him play it somewhere else. No loss for me.

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to Foreveram in How many more signing do we need champership winning side
We’ll the bookies have us down to finish third but I think we’ll finish one higher than that. With the quality of signings we have made it would be disappointing to not make the playoffs as a minimum.

My worry is if we have to many centre forwards it won't be good for team spirit, afterall we only play with one. I think two experienced centre forwards with Stretton is a nice balance.

keep him unless theres a bid of £5m. only one year left on his contract, but even if he runs that down, we’ll still get a fee, as hes under 23
