Whilst I agree that if the lads had won, the stadium would’ve still been rocking well after the final whistle, I doubt the mens team would celebrate in the same way.  The men are too media trained nowadays.  Couldn’t see Kane leading a conga line through the media room whilst Gareth was doing his press conference…

I think this could be the death of civilisation as we know it. Women will finally realise what they always suspected. They are superior to men, even in an area men have tried to keep to themselves.
If you’re a man feeling a bit meh about their achievement, it’s probably because you feel a little emasculated by girl power.
The Lionesses have done what the dopey, overpaid men’s team, with their stupid haircuts and choreographed goal celebrations, couldn’t.
In a game in which, let’s face it, they were being outplayed towards full time, they managed to turn it around and not only score, but see out the game.
Good luck to them.

I've been one of those who've been less than complimentary about women's football - in particular the 'over indexing' it receives in the media. Yes, there is a huge gulf between the favourites and those playing their first tournament - feels a bit like watching the World Cup in the 70s when African team were a bit of novelty value.
But the top teams are good enough to entertain. I'd also say the men can learn a huge thing from the women in terms of diving, time wasting and simulation (yes, I know, my wife simulates most times also). Would be interesting to see how many minutes of football, or longest continuous period of play, in the women's game as it just feels like you get a bit more, well, actual football.

McGoldrick has to be one of the first names on the team sheet after todays performance, surely?

Do you really believe that? I mean, all bias aside, we only have a couple of world class players with a lot of good players sprinkled in. I know we have several players who play for Liverpool and City, but none are among their best players.
The only English player who is among the best five players at a top four PL club is Harry Kane.

I sort of think British crappiness at Eurovision is a part of the whole thing, a kind of "we're too cool to take this seriously...but we're actually going to massively enjoy the ridiculous whole thing" - all part of the British national psyche of continental Europe as close enough to be familiar but also strange and different to"us". Just my take anyway, I'll be very disappointed if Britain starts seriously trying to win Eurovision.

Nobody should ever hit anybody. Simple. If you do hit someone you should be expecting one back. 
The lad I know of (second time I've known a lad beaten by his Mrs) has been smashed with bottles, kicked downstairs, had his eyes blacked and nose broken etc by his woman. 
Don't give the gentleman should treat a lady speech. It's about how people should treat people.

I don't think we played as well as we have in the last 3 games, but as I've already said I really wasn't expecting us to do so, we were due a below par performance against a below par team........at 2 down I really thought that was it, but I wasn't that bothered........now I'm thinking that is as big a result as the 2 against West Brom and Stoke
