FindernRam got a reaction from therealhantsram in How to be a dad, any advice
Always defer to HER mothers input for first year. Never compare your child's progress with anyone else's. Good or bad. Remember the baby can't read the baby manuals so doesn't know when the first tooth is due.
Surreptitious coaching to say Dada as a first word is good but don't get caught!
Baby crying alarms all new parents: Rule of three: Burp, Nappy, Feed. If that doesn't work trust your wife's instincts.

FindernRam got a reaction from Bob The Badger in SPOTY
I think the BBC have a right nerve bigging up SPOTY given how little live sport they cover.
Then they compound it by having Lineker on it.
Then they pick just six who we can vote for from an apparently woke agenda.
But the saddest thing, and its nothing to do with the BBC, is that when I spent a few idle minutes thinking about who I would have nominated I couldn't come up with anybody. As a nation we seem devoid of star quality winners. Even our top football teams are stuffed full of foreigners.

I don't buy into this "weaker" league stuff at all.
Every year league 1 has the teams ranked 45 to 68 in the football pyramid. So by a cascade of quality from Premier Champions to non- league the team strength in each league will be roughly the same unless there is a general decline in player quality or tactics. OR teams coming down to L1 are weaker than teams going up ( or going down to L2 v those coming up). The yo-yo clubs suggest this is not really the case. Many teams stay in their league for-ever it seems like.
Outlier performing teams just level it up for the rest.

FindernRam got a reaction from Miggins in Defibrillator location
Just did a basic CPR course and it was obvious that speed of help is the key. This means getting to a defrib asap and not being afraid to use it. It is pretty simple and the machine will talk you through it.
BUT It does mean you need to know where the nearest one is. 999 or 112 will know based on where you are, but seconds count.
As you go around your normal areas keep an eye out for the yellow boxes, then you can shave those seconds off and maybe save a life.

FindernRam got a reaction from taffyram in mo55y's Prediction League updates, 2023/24 season.
Thanks for spending hours on this. Its more entertaining than the matches. BUT when you look at the scores and well over half of the participants have zero points we are as bad at predicting as the team we support are at entertaining.

FindernRam got a reaction from DenmarkRam in Why are we so grumpy
Even by our normal standards we do seem unusually sparky with each other.
Personally I think its these interminable international breaks. Very little proper football to see live or on TV. Schedules messed about with , worries that our thin squad will be hit with even more injuries. Nothing to talk about so like kids at a wet playtime (according to my ex-teacher wife) we squabble endlessly.

FindernRam got a reaction from RoyMac5 in Speed demons in a Rams shirt
Alan Hinton never seemed to tire.
Colin Todd explosive over a short distance
Wee Archie over the mud was uncatchable.
