FindernRam got a reaction from Kathcairns in Once a Ram... Not Always a Ram?
Once a Ram--end of. When the pay packet stops so does the loyalty. The days of the local lad player, catching the bus to the game with the fans is long long gone.
Its a job no more no less. Maybe a stepping stone to a higher league or national side. Kissing the shirt is pantomime stuff for the fans!

FindernRam reacted to Spanish in EFL appeal
somebody said that on here but without backing.
I tend to think they are wrong because the EFL had to give permission to LAP to defer their power to impose penalties to the DC. That's in the DC notes. Why would the EFL agree to this if they had no appeal they might as well have let the LAP do it

FindernRam got a reaction from Chris_Martin in Is VAR Ruining Football?
Last night Werner was clearly clobbered from behind in the area, Ref give foul against Werner. VAR agrees. I could not believe what they did or whet they thought they saw. VAR is a joke.

FindernRam reacted to rynny in Live football thread.
I thought the opposite. He looked like an old man that hadn't played football for 2 years. Slow reactions, no athleticism and no spring in his dives.

For fans to express their views and have a debate with other members.....I never thought the idea was to influence the club and their decision-making. I think that would be more the case when fans attend the ground on match days, can influence things then. In some ways I would think Mel and Wazza are thankful grounds have been shut over the last few months....

I think the phrase is "If a tree falls in a Forest, and no one is around to hear it, will it still remind everyone that they won back-to-back European Cups in the late 1970s"

If a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound? Do you really think that Mel or anybody on the Board uses this forum as some kind of business Guru. This thread is the equivalent of a Wolf howling at the moon.
May make you feel better but ultimately is utterly useless.

FindernRam got a reaction from NG2Ram in Things that annoy me but shouldn’t..
When a player receives a pass and straight away plays it right back to the player who sent it to him. No attempt to control orturn. Often there is no-one near him.

Sharing of marriage...
The old man placed an order for one hamburger, French fries and a drink.
He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half, placing one half in front of his wife.
He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.
He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them . As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them were looking over and whispering.
Obviously they were thinking, 'That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.'
As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table and politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said, they were just fine - they were used to sharing everything
People closer to the table noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.
Again, the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them.
This time the old woman said 'No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.'
Finally, as the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked 'What is it you are waiting for?'
She answered --

FindernRam reacted to 1of4 in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
With the announcement that millions of doses of the corona vaccine will be bottled at Barnard Castle, it looks as if Dominic Cummings may be owed an apology. He didn't travel to the castle to check his eyesight but was actually carrying out a covert mission on behalf of the government, to check out their manufacturing facility.

FindernRam got a reaction from SKRam in Relegation watch
I don't buy into the pre-season fitness affecting us now. There's nothing like matches to build match fitness, youngsters like Sibley and Knight should manage 2 games a week ok. The oldies are a different matter.
To me the issue is a chronic loss of confidence coupled with an unsettled side. You need understanding with your mates so you don't need to think too much--Kane and Son for example. No-one seems to know when and where to make a run or pass. Torpid, turgid, tottering football.
Assuming Lawrence stays fit, Kazim recovers, Waggy settles with Rooney/Rosenior, Knight and Sibley recover some form, Bird learns how to pass, Wisdom to read the deep ball, we should be ok
Oh bother, that's blown it!!
