It's utterly remarkable. Everywhere you go in northernmost Norway they've ultrafast 4G broadband. No blackspots at all, out in the wilderness. Roads all go through the mountains so they stay passable. Between Tromso airport and the town the tunnel has three roundabouts with roads going off in different directions. Puts us to shame - it's like living in the future. Booze a bit pricey mind...

Dispatch brand new trainers in this condition. Wasn’t eBay either but an online retailer, £70. Had to send an email straight away with pics just so I don’t have issues returning them, will think I’ve spilt a cuppa!

I recently had an issue with a purchase and I received a huge outpouring of support and help in the thread I started so have a read though that If you need any advice.

Although it looks to me like you have indeed spilt a cuppa on them so I think you're just going to have to soak them both in tea and think of them as a special edition.

Tonight's dinner is a co op rump steak with a dressing of smoked chilli mayo and 8 x cold Staropramen.

Prep time: 45 min (inc. going to the co op and buying the steak and beers and giving it 20 mins to get to room temp before it goes in the pan)

Cooking time: 10 min (inc. 5 min resting time).

Low carb, gluten free, Man dinner.

Looks superb and I'd eat it because I have no self control. But i'd regret it all night because my body would react to eating that pile of chopped nuts as it would to drinking the contents of a Duracell battery.

Christmas is a difficult time for me with all those tubs of nuts around. Very often you'll find me keeled over in a corner clutching my stomach, face covered in dry roasted nut powder. The Mrs standing over me shaking her head with zero sympathy.

I have to have a good few beers to before I have chicken enjoy mate

Alright next Sunday I'll do a nice rare rib of beef for you. Tonight though your gonna have to make do with Mrs Parsnip's Linda Mcartney sausages.

I'd run through fire for a good roast chicken dinner though. The secret is, and @froggg will back me up on this because he knows he's poo, is you want a small chicken. Better to have two small chickens than one big one. They're so much tastier. And it should be proper free range - not just access to light crap - proper natural. And then don't be afraid to undercook it. Once you overcook it it's game over. And baste that bad boy.

I would not run home for chicken dinner

Yeah well as it happens I'm now cooking the very chicken dinner I thought I was running home for. I've got myself all nice and comfy in the kitchen though...
