I suppose we should really have known that was most likely not Morris causing the delays, but rather Gibson and the EFL. It's simply yet another stalling tactic that will result in an avalanche of subsequent claims against the EFL should they be feeble enough to cave in.
    CREDITOR:
A term used in accounting, 'creditor' refers to the party that has delivered a product, service or loan, and is owed money by one or more debtors.
Neither Boro nor Wycombe fall into any of the above categories so they can't legally be added to the creditor's list. The admins will have to protect the interests of those with genuine claims and will fight any such attempt. I strongly suspect that this is what they referenced in their press release to BAWT.
The Pint-sized pemaprick and that other irrelevant gobshite therefore need to be reined in and told that if they genuinely wish to pursue their vexatious claims against the club, that they need to do so through appropriate channels. That is to say, they need to stop whining, and duck off to the civil courts if they really believe they have a worthwhile case.

Although I agree with your sentiment I think the thread was made because of our grim reality, not just to "keep us amused" Unfortunately administration gives us fewer choices. We took two of wigans players when they were in our position and it is likely it could happen to us.
The question is more who would you be prepared to lose  vs who you couldn't do without.  (And that's not even our choice if we don't hear updates soon)
Rooney is performing terrific with what he has and the players are playing out of their skin and doing the badge proud. However Rooney himself has said he needs to be able to contract people at the very least. It's in Quantuma's hands.
Edit: And they don't know the definition of imminently.

To me, its more that we are right in the eye of the storm and whilst ideally we would actually be bringing in much needed players and not letting anyone go...
... if the worst came to the worst, who do we think would least 'damage' our prospects and/or help cover our losses, and why.. (who do we have cover for, who would bring a fee, who is likely to leave soon anyway). Nothing overly disrespectful in that question or the replies I don't think, just realism. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Knight, if a prem team came in with a decent offer.
    1) he deserves his chance and we can’t hold on to these players until their value is all but lost
    2) it’ll bump up the price/reputation of future academy products that we need to get as much money as possible for.
    3) As it stands, I’m not sure the first 11 is actually set up to suit him and we have enough back ups to cover

He’s a fantastic player btw, it’s just we need the money and he needs a career not preparing for League 1

The window is open, and we're not in a good state financially. So it seems outgoings are more likely than incomings. Obviously there are a lot of unknowns (will will get any money from a preferred bidder, how bad the finances are, whether players want to leave or not) but who do you think should let leave?
    For me:
    - Marshall: hopefully will go somewhere on a free transfer. I can't see him playing for us again. Any of the big clubs in need of an aging 3rd choice keeper?
    - Baldock: probably won't get a new deal, partly due to the emergence of Plange.
    - Lawrence: reportedly on the highest wages at the club, and I don't think he's value for money. If we could get a 7-figure fee that'd be a great deal, for someone with 6 months left on his contract. Even for a lower fee, it'd save over half a million in wages.
    - Buchanan: if he was fit I don't think he'd get back into the team at the minute. So for a reasonable offer (£2-3m?) ), I'd let him go (but preferably to anyone but Forest).
    - Bird or Knight. This pains me to say, as I think both players are great, and I'd love to see them in a Derby shirt for years to come. But they are our most saleable assets, and we could manage without one of them, especially with Bielik coming back. So anything close to a Hendrick-sized offer to a lower Prem club I'd have to say yes. Unfortunately, our finances mean it is more likely to be a Hughes-sized offer, which I would love us to reject (though maybe we won't be able to).

We're at about the half way point of the season. Looking at the bottom 6 clubs, if each continues with the PPG they've averaged so far over the season, the final table would be:
    Reading (56.4-6=) 50.4 points
    Hull 46
    Cardiff 44
    Derby (59.4-21=) 38.4
    Peterborough 38
    Barnsley 26.8
However, if we extrapolate the PPG for each team's last 10 matches over the remaining 22-24 games:
    Hull 55.2
    Cardiff 47.3
    Derby (61.8-21=) 40.8
    Reading (46.2-6=) 40.2
    Peterborough 37.4
    Barnsley 27.2
Which shows how important Monday's game could be. The great escape is on.

Well some big revelations today. Notably the losses were considerably more than we had been led to believe and upon restating the accounts in line with the way the EFL want them doing (not going to say rules as there’s still nothing in the rule book to say it should be straight-line) and the rest of the league comply with we incurred multiple points breaches in excess of the 9 we’ve been given. In other words we’ve got off lightly it could’ve been worse, not that it really makes any difference now.

Are the EFL vindicated? Absolutely not. Doesn’t change the fact they’ve allowed a competition that is grossly unfair with parachute payments and allowing bigger losses for those clubs, brought in P&S rules that are vague in some parts, complex in others and don’t really protect the integrity of the league, they don’t punish clubs who are promoted, they allow the additional dodgy practices of Wolves’ Mendes deal and use of loan system and deferring payments to essentially make top half premier league signings, they allow the dodgy practices of Watford and Forest who move players between clubs to dodge FFP. The way they have singled out Derby is a gross hypocrisy, entirely political, vindictive and is in no way about protecting the integrity of the league. If it was they’d be finding ways to go after Wolves Leicester Leeds, they’d have punished Bournemouth again upon relegation, they’d be stopping Forest’s loophole of moving players between clubs and they would be clamping down on Stoke’s dodgy practices around Covid. They are not. They are a joke of an organisation, odious to the core, and an independent regulator is badly needed.
However the EFL is not in any way to blame for our predicament, that honour falls to one man. If he’d stuck around then we might have forgiven him an FFP breach but he plunged us into administration as well and said it was in the best interests of the club. Given what has gone on, given the FFP deal the EFL put on the table to Mel is effectively the one we have now, I can see no benefit to administration other than Mel didn’t want to fund the losses any more caused by his crippling mismanagement and exacerbated by Covid, this when losses now are a great deal smaller than earlier in his stewardship. We are in this because of Mel and Stephen Pearce and no one else.
We need to take our medicine and rebuild. The critical thing is we get a new owner by Jan as if not we could face a January that will set us back years. Get an owner in, we might be able to bounce back quickly.

Final point on the EFL, will they relinquish the highly restrictive embargo should we get new owners willing to stand behind us? I get retaining it while we’re still in admin but to continue it post takeover is unnecessarily draconian and vindictive. And also, they cited a breach of the 19/20 and 20/21 merged P&S period in the judgement, so will points deductions apply when about half the league fail this accounting period? How can they not with wage bills significantly larger than ours and significant reduced revenue through Covid.

The one positive is our costs are now under much better control, with a buyer, a ground (the last decent thing you can do Mel) and retaining our academy status then we will be in an excellent place to rebuild. But we need that buyer and quickly!!

@Jourdan, I appreciate your posts, and can see your POV.
In normal circumstances, I'd agree with your analysis of the bare fact's, statistically he's had a terrible record so far.
However, he started off with one hand tied behind his back (lack of experience), then swiftly had the other hand tied up too (lack of finance) in the January window.
We somehow survived the season, more by others failings than our own efforts I grant you, but just when he'd expected the bounds to be released he's had a blindfold placed over his eyes too!
Then after groping around in the dark to pull together a semblance of a squad with half a chance of competing, he's had cotton balls stuffed in his ears too, exposing him for what he is.
A rookie manager, dealing with the total implosion of the football club he's employed by, and unable to do anything about the situation other than grit his teeth and fight his way through.
He's done that in spades, and faced a situation that I'm convinced other more experienced managers would have walked away from by now.
That he hasn't is praiseworthy enough in itself in my eyes, he's got little to gain in our situation, and an awful lot to lose, yet he keeps on keeping on, keeps fighting for us and our club.
In those circumstances, I'm happy enough to set aside the stats and critique of his tenure, and appreciate that we've got a manager who'll fight for us now, and is playing his part in our survival.
Whatever happens in the future, and however he happened upon his current position, he's our man right here and right now, and imo he's led the club like a Lion.

I dunno. If Boro, or any other club, were having issues, it's not our job to get involved. We should leave it to the powers that be to sort it out correctly, and serve an appropriate punishment. Though that does rely on trusting the powers that be to serve an appropriate punishment, and not get bullied by a rival chairman with a personal agenda.

It's unfortunate with Morgan Whittaker. He left for a better opportunity and who can blame him for that because it just wasn't working out here for various reasons. He certainly received a load of unnecessary grief from the cesspit of social media but most folk on here and other forums totally understood his reasons for leaving and wished him well.
However, a specific goal celebration for scoring against a team is always going to be interpreted as a dig at all fans of that club though, whether they were supportive of your decision to leave or not. No issue with him celebrating at all, I don't expect him to walk solemnly back the the centre spot shrugging off his team mates but I just felt that the 'chuff you' gesture was a bit unnecessary and he could have shown a bit more of the class that I'd expected of him due to his good off field stuff at Derby. I still broadly wish him the best but leave out the mardy stuff eh ?

Been a pretty staunch Waggy supporter but I have struggled with his form this season. Against the Wendies he showed us all that's good about his game; the strength, the work-rate, a deftly taken header, a sweetly struck penalty with that left foot that can at times be like a wand and his dogged determination in holding up the ball for Roberts' goal.
That said,  I'm still left puzzling over the balance of this season though as he did seem to disappear down a rabbit hole, only to reappear on the last day. I suspect that contract terms will determine his future, here or away from the club and this is one of those times that I'm happy I don't have to make the call. As I said before, whatever the upshot, I wish him well.
