We’re at a brilliant place in the Custard Factory in Digbeth called Chase and Counters. It’s a board game bar so we’re playing Scrabble and their beers on tap are top notch. I’m having two halves, both Deyas - a Steady Rolling Man and Magazine Cover. I’ve only got into Deya recently but all the beers I’ve tried have been excellent. First couple were strong DIPAs and TIPAs but these are much more sessionable but still v tasty.

He’s approaching cult hero status for me. Put his body on the line last game of the season and has now signed for (comparative) peanuts. I get the feeling he has a real affinity for the club and wants to help out. He’s a genuinely good human being.

I would imagine that knowing that his report will receive a lot of attention and comment that he’s being very careful in constructing it, not only to reflect accurately what was said and the tone and context of what was said, but also to summon up the strength to deal with the inevitable underwear wetting. Neither will be easy.
I would suggest, more in hope than expectation, that we all bear in mind when commenting on his comments that we appreciate the possible impact on the guy himself. It will take a monumental effort just to respond to questions seeking clarity.
Agree 100% with this. I wonder if @David is running his summary by a solicitor as well.

We really are in a perilous state and I’ll be very interested in @David’s write up. Many thanks for going, David, and you don’t deserve any of the abuse you’re apparently getting.
I love this club. I loved it before Mel and I’ll love it once he’s gone. Same with Rooney. As long as there’s still a club to support, I’ll support it. I think the same applies to all reasonable Rams fans.

You couldn't make it up...... "Rooney burns down training ground making toast". ??
I sent this to my brother. He replied
“Unbelievable - he’s trying to sabotage us. And are we really looking for pub team players?!”
I told him it was a p!ss take article and he replied
“Did he actually burn down the training centre?”
My brother is 47 and got a first from Cambridge. What an absolute lemon.

I was born in Sutton Coldfield and still live here, but my Dad’s family was from Derby. I started going to the Baseball Ground when I was 6 with Dad and his parents. My brother and I have brainwashed our kids and we now take them, our boys are obsessed! I’ve never lived in Derby, I’ve never been out in Derby, but I’ve got a huge love for the club and a ram tattoo on my @rse!

Popped into PP and asked the staff, who said that unbranded adult shirts would be available instore soon.I have subsequently had a email from DCFC stating that they would NOT be available. Now waiting for a definitive response,YES or NO.
I called the shop last year and the lady was really helpful. She told me to order a normal shirt online and then email her with the order number to ask for one without the sponsor. It was the pink 3rd kit.
It was Mandy Hollis - Mandy.hollis@dcfc.co.uk
Probably worth emailing her before you put an order in to make sure nothing’s changed.
(Just looked at the email and she actually said there were unsponsored shirts available in store as well.)

We need a Malcolm Christie type signing, cheap but really good
Or a Phil Gee.

Not sure what you’ll find to talk about Chris, it’s shaping up to be another quiet season!

Let’s be honest, we’re going to have to sell one or two players to give us wriggle room. Buchanan is one of our saleable assets, simple as that, so if a reasonable offer comes in for him he’ll be sold. I’d be gutted if he went to F*rest but needs must and we’re flat skint.

Bit younger than you… but been in to them since a young’un because of my dad. Brave new world is probably the most complete album ever in my opinion. I went to see them on the final frontier tour and the book of souls tour in Nottingham. This new one is brilliant though ??
BNW is a great album, but you can’t beat Beast as a complete album! What do you think of the earlier albums? I’m interested to know, because when I got into them it was the classic lineup and everything they’d done up to then was really strong. Adrian left after that and it went downhill until he came back.

First post on the forum. Not sure if anyone has picked up on this at dcfc.co.uk but thought I'd share.
Derby County is committed to responsible gambling, and unbranded kits are available by emailing DCFCmegastore@dcfc.co.uk; and the junior kits will not be branded.
glad this is being made available for anyone not liking the sponsor or wanting a simplier shirt. I've ordered a plain one.
Welcome to the forum, Mike, and great point. I got last season’s pink 3rd kit without the sponsor and it looks bloody lovely. And the lady I dealt with in the Ramtique was really helpful. ?

I must have listened to this about 20 times since yesterday… it’s incredible.
the opening single on the last few albums have tended to be a bit weaker so if that’s the case with this it will be one hell of an album ??
by far my favourite band and I can’t wait to see them at download next year.
Same here mate. I’ve been into them since I was 14, So 1989. Seen them probably 12 times but not for a while.
They went through a tough period when Adrian and Bruce left but they’ve been back on form since Brave New World and just keep making good music. I love this latest track, it gets better with every listen!
-
I absolutely love that, the blue bits are a great touch.
Whoever designed the goalie kit was clearly on acid though!

A new Maiden track was released today. I really like it, some brilliant guitar work from Adrian Smith. Bruce can still hit the notes as well, thankfully, since his cancer treatment.
You’ve got to love Maiden, they still sound strong and they keep progressing their sound, even after 40 + years.

What’s everyone drinking tonight then? I’ve had a very strict policy of only drinking English beers during the England games. I’ve got some cans lined up from Vocation, Dig Brew, Attic and Deya - haven’t tried any from there before. Can’t wait, I’m going out for a long run and then might have to crack one open!

To be honest mate, you’ve been put in an impossible position. I don’t know the reasons behind it but it just seems like you’ve been hung out to dry. I hope you’re ok, simple as that.
