It's a bit unfortunate for Louie that his best position is the one currently occupied by our Player of the Season so far.

It's also difficult for him to come in and play anywhere near that level with a few snatched moments here and there.

But Louie is our future. If I were him, I'd be learning every little thing I could from McGoldrick and looking to be his natural successor.

Playing at left back will have done him the world of good especially when to make a challenge, what the defender doesn’t want to do etc and the need to be stronger and disciplined

Considering the pattern of good first half and then fading as the second half goes on it would be good to see PW start making subs around the 50/60 minute mark

the lads are doing their best but need some help

Our subs generally don’t improve us apart from port vale away

Wigan have a suspended 3 points for non-payment of wages hanging over them, looks like this breaks that so I'd expect the -3 to be activated, nothing official as yet though.

Watford also being investigated for sale/ loan back from Udinese.

Watford again inflating the price of a player selling them to Udinese at an inflated fee then loaning him back to get the player for nothing and money against FFP - I am sure the Boro perm will have the EFL onto it ( I hope you are watching florets )

  4. In this country everyone is entitled to have a viewpoint because we live in a democracy whilst currently in Ukraine people are fighting and dying for that very right to have an opinion. Lineker can have his opinion on anything as can everyone else but you can’t expect to keep your employment when you breech the imposed guidelines and every year hundreds if not thousands of people in this country lose their employment due to what they say and do.

  5. I know we basically play 3 times a week but with the absence of anything interesting in nottingham for them to watch it’s obvious that they never seem to actually have a footy match to watch especially on a Saturday afternoon. I suppose watching the opponents have the football most of the time and hoping to get a breakaway lucky goal this season has proved relatively successful but looks dreadful to watch but if they enjoy that sort of thing ?‍♂️

Finding defence-splitting forward balls. He covers a lot of ground and in the main his touch and balance exude quality. And I’d guess he will get much better quickly. But he needs to play alongside complementary players. Would love to see him, Bird, Smith, Knight and Tommo all more or less in midfield with each having an understanding of what role they play in what situation. We don’t see this level of organisation anywhere on the pitch - we’re looking like headless chickens without enough legs - and we really need more organisation in midfield. As you might infer I think Hourihane needs to start on the bench if not on his sofa. I don’t think Jason Knight is enjoying running his socks off only to be told where he needs to run next and Didzie’s reaction to his evasive action in the wall against The Shrews says it all

Ok, I haven’t seen those defence splitting balls yet. Tompson has been very unlucky to not have played more whilst Hourihane can score goals and assist with them there are obviously other areas where he disappoints but we can’t get a great deal when we are so restricted in how we can sign players.

White is a class act, already. But put him in a midfield that’s inevitably going to be overrun and he’ll be embarrassed.

He and Tommo are completely different players. Probably complementary but not sure we’ll ever find out

Whilst I am not saying anything against the lad but what have you seen white do that makes him a class act?

  8. Defenders who can defend

    midfielders who know their job

wide players who cause opposition problems

centre forward who can score goals and a central attacking midfielder who plays behind the centre forward

that about covers what we need

as well as subs who make a positive impact ( which has rarely happened)

  9. Back to basics

                              Wildsmith

    Rooney.    Davies.    Cashin   Forsyth

                        Smith Knight

                               Sibley

    mendiz.          McGoldrick.       Dobbin

defenders who can defend midfielders who know their job wide players who cause problems for the opposition and a random wildcard in Sibley who shoots at the goal around the penalty area
