Totally agree. I'm not happy with the football we are playing. I hope Cashin is sold in the summer so he can take his 70 yard balls somewhere else. I know that one lead to a goal but thats not the point

On some pitches it’s probably ok to be going long but you have to have people getting on the end of them but as a more permanent way of playing I am not for it with what we have playing but our midfield are usually facing our own defenders so the ball constantly ends up back with Cashin so it’s not overly his fault - our squad needs surgery but results are at a premium currently

Nearly what I meant. I think when you have a business plan you should only be able to spend what you earn. That is because the reason for that plan is because you have already breached the financial limits. In our case we spend less that what we earn (due to the plan).

Reading chose the only option they could in agreeing to sell players otherwise they would have been relegated last year. They didn't for what ever reason but they brought in other players.

I think the EFL were wrong to force a club to gamble on player sales as a way out of debt but Reading were also wrong to sign players when they could not balance the books.

Peterborough should take legal action against Reading.

I agree with you re getting back to normality or the new form of normality (thank god) and COYRs

Reading didn’t make the punishments but Peterborough and ourself to some degree have a case against the EFL over the implementation of Reading FC punishment

To which the response should have been, you do that, then you can spend this. Does feel like they have been very lenient with Reading, I guess not being in administration and having 2 clubs threatening legal action removes any pressure to throw the book at them.

As well as giving them every opportunity to not be relegated unlike some - they still allowed them to sign 13 players, to replace those that they didn’t get move on.

They may as well have said that if they don’t win on Saturday he’s sacked.  The sensible thing at this point is to wait until the end of the season and even then to stick with him regardless.  If they stay up, he’s a year wiser for the experience.  If they go down, he’s probably their best bet of going back up.  But this is the Fat Greek, and I don’t think he does sensible.  I think he’s sacked anyway, regardless of whether they stay up or go down.

Cooper will be the winner who’ll leave with his reputation in tact.

He’s still in a job because the fat Greek can’t get anyone else in - it’s that simple

They are still getting a six point deduction. How is that being let off? Theyve already had another 6 deducted in a previous season. We only got 9 deducted for breaching the rules - hardly miles apart is it. If Reading enter administration i'm sure they'll be deducted another 12 like we were.

We got all nine points in one season they didn’t get all 12 points in one season

What an absolute mess the EFL is. Love how they have now palmed responsibility off on to someone else now that they have been exposed as incompetent and anything but impartial.

Wonder if they actually regret letting Gibson control them for the best part of 2 years?

They will be hoping that Middlesbrough get promoted won’t they - unlike myself

In fairness, I think that mcgoldrick was in an offside position when Cashin headed the ball.

Now whether he was interfering is something that is open to debate, but with the rules as they are and with the utter incompetence of the officials these days, it just adds another level of confusion to an already ridiculous situation

The ipswich player headed it to Cashin who scored - so that’s not offside anyway is it nowadays ?
