Opened contract talks with Davies, according to Nixon’s Patreon.
Hoping to get an agreement next week.
Bristol City and Hull still both keen to sign him but it’s expected we’ll be allowed to sign players in the next few days when the takeover is finalised.

Contact has also been made with existing members of the squad and new players as we look to add and improve to key areas.

My uncle lived in St Denis. It's not pretty and a bit of a concrete jungle but it's certainly no worse than a lot of places in the UK. Bit of a melting pot ethnically speaking, which means it can get a tad fractious at times. I get the banner thing now as the police can be pretty brutal there if your face doesn't fit.

My cousin and his wife teach there, it's  not pretty from what they tell me. This being said lots of the best french footballers come from those areas. Their son's english teacher is M'Bappe's auntie!

Personally, I think we'll really struggle to hold onto Bielik. He's a great player but his manager hasn't got a completely unfounded belief that playing in the third tier of english football will not knock him into shape for the world cup. If he wants to play for his country at the world cup (which I'd be amazed if he didn't) then he's either going for a loan at a second-tier club or moving on completely.

Pootling along the Normandy coastline yesterday on our bikes, and for a brief moment, thought CK was on his way to Blighty with sacks of cash! ?
Turns out it was a swarm of US Airforce bombers doing a (presumably) practice run for the upcoming D Day events.
Very low and literally over head!  Brought a lump to the throat, if truth be told. So many reminders of so much heroism in these parts!  Obvs!  (Our first time to this area).
Got a great front line video, for the holiday album (not that I’m a plane geek or owt!)  Don’t know how to put it in here!Hi

We’ll leave the main 6th June party to the masses though, as we up sticks and head for rural Brittany later this morning.

Having a wonderful holiday so far… thanks to all those who fought and died to allow us such luxuries!

in France prices have gone up by 4% because Emmanuel's government has told them, Mandalorian style, that is the way...
Straight from Ofgem find below the "price gap" aka the chocolate fireguard
Wholesale prices are going up so unit prices are also going up, kind of understand this as there is a direct correlation.
Can someone explain to me why the daily standing charge for elec. goes up from 25p to 45p. As far as i know there is no plan to gold plate the cables and pylons up and down the streets of the UK, so where does this come from?
You and me my friend need to find a better paid job, it is all our fault remember!

Hi everybody, happy t̶a̶k̶e̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶ Monday.
I've been waiting for a while to get official confirmation, but just a heads up to say that Groundwork is looking like it will be set for publication on 1st August! Admittedly that is two months earlier than I thought so I am mid-panic, but it's fine. Going over old ground but basically, I put the Pride book together which came out in 2020, and as much as I enjoyed it, the twenty years it covered were pretty terrible to be a Rams fan. So this book takes in solely the Jim Smith years.
There's around 55 contributors in total ranging from Steve McClaren, Steve Round and Bill Beswick through to Igor, Eranio, Wanchope, Sturridge and more. There's also a specific section just on Jim with contributions from some of his family, Harry Redknapp and Howard Wilkinson, and a BBC Derby bonus chapter with Colin Gibson and Graham Richards reliving those years.
I've been lucky as well to be able to confirm in the last couple of days that McClaren and Igor are both providing forewords, which is a nice little bonus! Somehow it's about 120k words and 330 pages, so hopefully it's a decent comprehensive account of the time from those who lived it.
ANYWAY - I don't have info on the pre-order side of things yet besides Amazon (but I'd always recommend not to Amazon because they're doing okay for themselves) and will provide those once I do have the proper links and everything, as well as the actual correct price because I don't think it's as much as the one it says - hopefully. But yeah, that's it essentially. If anyone did read Pride and enjoyed it, I'd 100% say this is a better read. And if you read Pride and didn't enjoy it, that's okay too, I apologise profusely. If you didn't read Pride, that is fine for a third time. I'm on here daily but usually just lurk, so hopefully it doesn't look like I'm only jumping on to promote.  Generally I live in the past and the present just confuses me.
