depending on the quality of the loan player could be a tool to get out the league. i dunno i just rather have permanent players as it means we can get money for em at the end instead of driving up the price for someone elses player.

Blackman
Butterfield

I dont get how according to big trav a few weeks ago we didnt have a pot to piss in and now we can buy JCH who will cost a 7 figure fee
Maybe after the mad Mel era of fans singing “we buy who we want” and spaffing millions up the wall we’ve taken a more considered approach.
If people know you’ve got vast sums of money they want it. You only have to look at Premier league prices for average players to realise that

He would be our youngest contracted forward.
He’d be the most prolific consistent scorer we have, scoring double figures for 5 seasons straight.
He’d be the least risky as he never seems to be injured playing over 40 games every season for the last few.
He would be our best target man and back to goal striker to hold it upHe’s no slouch and can bully CB’s
No idea why if we had the budget anyone would be against this tbh

I’m still not convinced the Bielik and Knight money has all gone into “running costs” spreadsheet. I just think we’re being very prudent and sensible in our transfer dealings and looking to get as much value as possible. Seems to be working in my view

Probably putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with Pi, and I also don’t know what a JCH goal celebration normally looks like, but he didn’t seem over the moon with scoring against us. It struck me as odd at the time.

It’s true I couldn’t resist 😂, but it’s true Warne will not improve Cashin. He needs to go to a club with better development coaches (and better ball players) if he wants his career to kick on.
Oh I dunno, his 40-50 yard cross field passing skills will improve immensely under Warne 😏

BHA had 23 players out on loan last season alone. Why would they want a ‘development asset’ playing a second season in League 1. He needs to be thoroughly tested to see what his upside potentially is. He will either be loaned to a Championship team, or a team in one of the European leagues (as Mac Allister and Caicedo were). They are looking to turn a ‘£3m’ asset into something > £10m+. Cashin is not going to improve playing next to Nelson, coming up again against Lincoln and Shrewsbury, or being coached by Warne.
You just couldn’t resist could you 🤣🤣

£2 million on a 30-year old with a 2-year contract? That’s a Mel Morris signing.
1) We won’t have anywhere near £2 million and even if we sell Cashin (I hope we don’t), I’d be surprised if we reinvest more than one million.
2) He would probably have zero resale value. Even with two good years, he then leaves on a free.
3) We could do more by asking the EFL to remove this 2-year contract length. That hurts us more than anything.
If we are going to spend money - then get 2 or 3 x 500k players in the 22-26 category.
Hungry, can improve, can increase their value etc.
There’s no restriction on contract lengths. I’m guessing we haven’t offered longer contracts to some due to age or question marks on fitness. Plus they’ve all been free so far so contract length isn’t as important.
I’d imagine we’d offer Clarke Harris 3 years if we spent money on him. He’s rarely injured as far as I know? He’s got a good 3-5 years left at league one/champ level
Nobody knows the fee either. We’ve done some good innovative deals this transfer window. Who’s to say that won’t continue 🤷♂️

Clearly Warne sniffed his neck after the game yesterday and thought “I’ll have a bit of that Drakar Noir”

Best solution. To come in and take someone’s spot when they don’t deserve it. And after a win wouldn’t be good player management
