Well Wayne seems to have signed up to the idea judging by his comments in the Sky interview after tonight's game against Cardiff.
I don't agree with it myself. I think it was 50-50 and Curtis should have been stronger. We would have wanted the goal if the situation had been reversed. Remember Bielik's overhead kick, anyone? That could equally well have been disallowed.
Some decisions just go with the home team. Always have. Always will.
I do think referees are inconsistent. Not just from one ref to another, but the same referee during the same game is often inconsistent with their decision making.
    Again, I don't think it's a conspiracy. Just incompetence.
And I'm not even blaming them that much. It's a terribly difficult job and I wouldn't want to do it.
Everyone should realise that without the officials, there'd be no game. We should be more respectful and more grateful.
One final thing, VAR should be thrown out. It certainly hasn't solved anything, just made it all worse. Killing the passion as players and supporters wait to celebrate a goal. Decisions that are just as controversial after review as they were before. Taking responsibility away from the ref does not help improve their decision making
Nope, not the answer. I think the answer would be to retrain ex-players who know the game.

As said before earlier, he looked good in preseason and any under age games I've seen. Good with the ball at his feet, physically strong and although not the tallest he was very good in the air. Opposition today didn't lose much of a threat but handled the occasion very well.
Irish football in good hands with the Derby youngsters coming through.
    Great debut. Well done lad.

Such a good player. Could easily step up to the Premier League. So good technically too. I think sometimes his technical ability is overlooked as his work rate is immense.

    Changed that a little
Couhig has said Derby was guilty of USING A QUANTIFIABLE ACCOUNTING PROCEDURE and Wycombe's claim is that an EFL APPEAL BY KANGAROO COURT AFTER QUALIFIED AUDITORS HAD FOUND NO WRONGDOING  LEAD TO DERBY GETTING AN UNJUSTIFIED  points deduction UNDER DURESS FROM THE EFL WITH A PROMISE IT WOULD SPEED UP A SALE. the Chairboys being relegated from the Championship to League One WAS THEIR OWN FAULT FOR BEING RABBLE AND LETTING ANDRE WISDOM OF ALL PEOPLE SMASH IN AN INJURY TIME WINNER AGAINST THEM, ON TOP OF THE FACT THEY WERE PROMOTED BY DUBIOUS METHODS IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT IS ALSO NOTED THAT THE CHAIRBOYS SHOULDN'T ACTUALLY BE A LEAGUE CLUB AFTER BECOMING EMBROILED IN A HIGHLY DUBIOUS PURCHASE OF A STRIKER YEARS AGO WHICH LEAD TO BRITOL ROVERS MAKING A COMPLAINT THAT TODAY WOULD HAVE SEEN THEM PLAYING IN THE VANARAMA DIVISION.  IT IS ALSO NOTED THAT THIS GEEZER WHO PROTESTS ABOUT NO ONE ADDRESSING HIS CLAIM HAS BEEN IN NO RUSH TO SIT DOWN WITH PETERBROUGHS CHAIRMAN AFTER 18 MONTHS WHO IS PISSED OF THAT THE POINTS PER GAME SCENARIO DENIED THEM A PLAYOFF PLACE
Hope they've brought a ball gag to this meeting.  He talks that much they may die of old age or rack up another 10 million in HMRC interest before he finishes.

Happy, Not happy, It's not an issue for me, As I said just another nail in the coffin, So i'll give you my reason, Here we have a person being employed by security to listen and write down ANY abusive language, What if any training will that person have? This person will be in the main the "eyes and ears" for those up the chain, Now the person will have a very big plate to put his/her statement, Example, Fan shouts "book him ref book him", The person misstook what he said as "duck him ref duck him", This person being a person that has been given the authority to write this down, Now sees him/herself as being of the upmost importance to "clean up society" by doing a job, Like a "Traffic Warden" does. Self importance to some is more important than the job they are doing.
Maybe the next port of call is the school playground, Or the pictures, Or a march to a football ground, Or maybe walking down an escalator with your guide dog.
Remember where you are living if it be the UK, Our cival liberties are being eroded daily, We are becomg a society where Syria, North Korea, Belarus, Kazakhstan just to mention 4 will gladly arrest you on the word of someone else.

He’s certainly put the ball back in their court.
Worst case scenario is they refuse to engage with MM directly. Mel Morris then needs to speak to the potential new owners and offer a personal guarantee to fight this case alongside them and finance any negative outcome (of which we all know there won’t be any)
Glad that MM has stepped up to the plate as quickly as he as following the EFL revealing their hand last night.
Its the correct and proper thing to do, so ?? to you MM

Chairman Steve Parish added: “Luke is an exceptionally talented young footballer and one we hope will bring a range of attributes to the club in the years to come.
“But first, he has an important role to fulfil playing at Derby, and we appreciate his significance to them in their current circumstances. It is less than 12 years ago that our club was in a similar situation - as a result we were determined to ensure both clubs benefit through this deal. Therefore Luke will return on loan for the remainder of the season and help Derby with their important battles on and off the pitch.
“I look forward to seeing Luke compete in Palace colours soon, and until then enjoy the performances he continues to give for Derby.”
    Fair play Palace.

Wayne Rooney, every time you think he cannot go up any higher in our estimations he goes and absolutely smashes it. I’ve said it so many times but there is genuinely no one else I’d rather have at the club. The man oozes class and commitment.

I get that you would try to negotiate the best deal and brinkmanship can help but...

There are so many advantages to one of the bidders getting this done a few weeks ago...

Our chances of staying up are reducing with every player sale, that leaves a a vastly reduced income.
We are losing assets at reduced prices, therefore you are getting less for your money
Now our academy is being torn apart
Out of contract players can now sign pre contracts elsewhere
We can't protect our best young players values by extending contracts
You would have had a better chance of not being beaten to it by another bidder
The club's name being dragged through the mud a little less
    Better reception from the supporters

So it begs the question...why? What are they hoping to gain? and is it worth it?

I think there’s more important things to be talking about to be honest.
Maybe it’s just me but I’ve seen quite a bit of people now going after others for stupid chants, fans having a go at other fans for having an opinion, Ed Dawes, Morrison etc and honestly is it all necessary right now?
Yeah, stupid stuff happens but I’m not gonna be given an OTT lecture on it when in the end…is it important?
The only comment I’ll have on the video is that I don’t condone it but I don’t condone Gibson’s actions either and the effect it’s had on the city/county or it’s peoples mental health whilst we are still having the knock on effects of a pandemic/club put through the ringer. Maybe everybody just needs to climb off the high horse a little bit.
Anyway, loads of positive community stuff to get around regarding Derby recently and a bit more positive news happening in the background. Ignore the noise (sometimes literal noise).

I sometimes wonder if some people have ever been to a football match.
We used to sing about killing F**est fans with a flick knife and a sawn off shot gun.

Generosity offering away fans a lift home in Derby ambulance was commonplace.
It’s football it’s in your face chanting designed to shock.

Don’t agree with it but let’s have it right, Gibson is potentially putting hundreds of people out of work, taking away a football club from thousands of people, the effect this could have on peoples mental health to who Derby is their whole life, do you think he’d lose sleep at night if that led to a Derby fan taking their own life?

I think your right about the quickness and simplicity of just getting it done asap was the main thing.

It really annoys me that the only interest the national media - Sky especially - have with us is whether Everton will recruit Rooney.
    Premier, Premier, Premier.
One angle they could take about Derby's fight with the EFL is that it could scupper an amazing football miracle - in their efforts to get founder member Derby relegated/liquidated, the EFL breaking the law along the way, they may kill a sports story to go with the best of them.

Bit of an extreme statement and a silly one at that. Why should I or anyone else tell a few drunken lads to stop singing something offensive? Not my job, besides I would probably be told to "bugger off" (to put it politely), and/or get my head kicked in. I don't agree with what they were singing, but just because I don't tell them to stop doesn't make me or others part of the problem, and that fact that you are trying to label others that don't intervene part of the  "problem" is quite distasteful and direspectful in my eyes.
