I was in a commercial negotiation once,  for agreed financial damages between a supplier and an OEM in the automotive business .. It was a revelation … They’d all been on the same “negotiation course” .. It was the most tawdry posturing waffle I had ever seen between 2 parties who needed each other. They should have been trying to reach an equitable agreement but they both strutted. Some call that negotiation. It was a day of my life wasted .. The final agreement that eventually came  could have been reached between them in 15 minutes with a bit of common sense and fair play. You simply can’t do that these days .. you have to play hard ball which is then reciprocated.

I would guess - given that the quote hasn't been repeated anywhere since - that Sky actually know the same as the rest of us and the rest of the press - diddly squat.  They probably jumped the gun and presumed.
We were found not guilty of any wrongdoing re the stadium sale and have been punished with a fine for the accounting/amortisation issues so both matters are now closed and dealt with, or should be.  The only thing left is the financial results from accounts resubmitted and our performance against FFP targets (for which transgressions and punishment is clearly set out).
You would have thought that had we not resubmitted any accounts that we would have heard about that by now so I would guess that the resubmitted accounts probably either show that we failed FFP but we are arguing mitigation (the EFL let us go on using our amortisation method year after year without saying anything) or that we have resubmitted accounts that show we passed the FFP tests but the EFL don't agree how we have got to that result; or a bit of both.

What I dont understand is the explicit quote on sky (can't find now but it was a shot of someones TV) that stated in quotes that Derby had submitted revised and restated accounts, the quote was attributed to the EFL.

That’s the thing. You can see he is skilled and a canny budget signing so far but we won’t see the best until the unit surrounding him is a step better in ability … but more to the point, self believing and confident enough to be more front footed.

what pleases me is that his temperament is pretty normal aggressive sportsman. No saint, but no lose cannon either.

One man won’t win matches … ever … but one man can glue a team together in the right way and make those moments that turn games happen.

It's been 48 hours since 48 hours ago. Why has this not been resolved with  grovelling apologies from Steve Gibson, Rick Parry and the EFL? I demand to know.

Well we have a champion female tennis player in Emma Radacanu, Ronaldo score 2 goals for his new club, India didn't want to play the 5th test, I think financial politics got hold there with the IPL, Verstapen has got pole position in the Italian Grand Prix, It's the Great North Run this Morning, And according to Sky Sports Troy Deeny ran Derby ragged for 20mins after coming off the bench.
On the plus side here's some football

No matter how bad it gets, you have to live in hope that the good times will return.
Here are a few examples of current Premiership teams who've had recent bad times :
    Man City - 3rd division in 2001
    Leicester City - Bankrupt & 3rd division in 2008/09
Leeds United - Bankrupt in 2007 and 3rd division for 3 seasons to 2010
Southampton - Bankrupt and 3rd division in 2009
Brighton - no ground and 3rd division up to 2011
    Wolves - 3rd division in 2014/15

    Q) How close is Jason Knight to starting? Is he ready to start?
Rooney: Yes, Knighty is a top professional; he has worked extremely hard while he has been off injured. There are no issues whatsoever with his fitness levels, even though he has been out for a while. If I need him to play, he will be ready to play.
    Q) How is Festy Ebosele, who has had a knee problem?
Rooney: He is improving. He should be training with us back end of this week or early next week.
    Q) How is Krystian Bielik's recovery going?
Rooney: Krystian is doing really well. He is on the grass with the ball at his feet, and he is on track with his injury. I am pleased. He seems to be in a better place, as well. He has been coming to the away games, being around the team, which is great to have him around the other players.
    Q) And how is Colin Kazim-Richards' recovery going?
Rooney: Colin is out of his (protective) boot and off his crutches now and doing his recovery work. After the next international break, we can assess where he is, and then it shouldn't be that long after the international break.

Quality player, always seems to find time & space on the ball. Does need to be better in his decision making like Hull away I think it was when he could have put Sibley through but went himself.
I cannot wait to see him & Bielik play in the same midfield!

Based on the restrictions on us when he signed and his willingness to sign in that position, i think he is underrated and an excellent signing. We were hardly going to get Messi

He seems able to pass to another one of our players - which is a big plus. I see a tendency to pass sideways, but that could be due to lack of movement ahead of him by forwards.

I think he will get stronger- just needs to not allow other teams to press his buttons like on Friday.

Play the full backs in defence.
If you want to play them further forward, as wing backs if you will, then play three central defenders.
This tactic of the two central midfielders covering for the full backs doesn't work. They're coming from a central area, so cannot cut out the run down the wing and the cross into the area. Jagielka and Davies are way too exposed.
I used to laugh that you never saw Roberto Carlos of Brazil ever appearing in his own half. We're not Brazil and Nathan Byrne, much as I like him, is no Roberto.
I'd like to see Byrne's heat map, showing his average position. I did see, time and time again, Birmingham attacks down their left and wondering where the flip is our Nathan? Only for the camera to pan out and, oh there he is, in their half, while they're attacking our goal.
I'm not blaming Byrne. That's the well documented tactic.
    It just doesn't work.
    4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 5-3-2, 3-4-3
    Take your pick of formation.
    But please, no more 2-2-5-1.
