whiteroseram got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Recruitment, make do and mend!
EU countries set their own rules for non EU immigration (as we always did), Germany obviously has rules allowing young British players in a lot easier than some

Unless of course they have a British passport, or could get one, or have worked for some time already in the UK.

My understanding; for players from the EU, there is now a work visa requirement, determined on an individual case basis.

Jon Howard (Scout 24) has been working for and alongside Derby County for many years.

George Nunn on a 2 year deal, ex Chelsea
Foulkes, Dixon and Aghatise on 1 year deals
Grewal-Pollard, Solomon and Cybulski 1 year extensions triggered. Alife Roberts, Olamide Ibrahim, Rhys Brailsford and Cian Kelly Caprani step up to the u21s.
Seems weird seeing u21s again, after it being u23s for a while! -
whiteroseram reacted to Carnero in Ravel Morrison - Signed for DC United
MLS would better suit his international games for Jamaica.

whiteroseram got a reaction from 48 hours in Haydon Roberts - signed for Bristol City
Primarily for LB and LCB in a 3 looks like, Fozzy style. Always reassuring have versatile options, especially with less options on the bench at this level
Seems another sensible signing... Weird feeling isn't it

What position do you play?

This is going to sound overly critical and i don't mean it to be, but I would really love him to want to stay and help us out of League One.
We spent an awful lot on him and he has spent most of his time with us on the treatment table. I won't criticise him if he leaves on loan or a permanent - that's just what football is - but I'd love him to decide to stay and repay the faith.
As some have said, a season in League One wouldn't be terrible for him.

I do think he will go out on loan as we will probably want his wages freed up for the year, but I don’t think a season in league 1 would be that bad for him.
He needs a full season under his belt and I’d like to think he would have more chance of doing that without a huge strain on his body if he stayed here.
Play him at home where we’re likely to dominate and on a good surface, then use him away as and when we’re playing a side with a decent pitch or who actually play football so he doesn’t get battered and bruised.

whiteroseram got a reaction from 48 hours in Matchday Thread friendly V Bradford (A) 9th July 15:00
Having been hauled up in the bum-hole of nowhere (Devon) with no reception all weekend probably got a couple of daft questions
Was Curtis captain yesterday?
How'd we look in the 2nd half? Sounds very positive in the first half and quiet with our reserves 8n the 2nd
Was interested to see 4 at the back not 3, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us try that at some point

whiteroseram reacted to I know nuffin in Craig Forsyth - Signed one year contract
Rosenoir said they were trying to get his contract through yesterday

whiteroseram got a reaction from Indyram in Kwaku Oduroh - signed 2 year deal
If there's one area we excelled last summer, it was picking up players let go by big clubs for our U23s with potential for 1st team. If we'd been allowed to offer Plange and Malcom proper contracts we'd have brought big money in from those (got some cash for Plange).
Hopefully, with our U23s bare and senior squad probably needing to not be too bloated at this level, it's something we can do successfully again

I'd agree with that except that he is such a cheerleader from the touchline. I love watching him at Pride Park as he's usually just below where we sit second half. Sure he's worth an extra point each game!

whiteroseram reacted to Millenniumram in Craig Forsyth - Signed one year contract
Indeed, the squad last year weren’t relegated on the pitch, so proved they were Championship standard. Keeping that level of player in League One is exactly what we need to get promoted back at the first attempt. Sadly the vast majority of that squad have left us, but keeping the likes of Davies, Forsyth and Stearman around should be huge for us, not on and off the pitch.

Thanks AR ?
Glad re. Both captains, falling a bit in love with Stearman. Now you mention it, could do worse than have him playing in and mentoring the U21/23s when he's not needed by the 1st team

Yes, first half, Stearman second half.
Looked like the academy - fair contest could have gone either way.

Surely Liams easiest decision , got to make Curtis club captain

I think you're right the registration is the crux of our argument, and like @angieram says the EFL are supporting us on this, they need to keep the sanctity of registrations in place otherwise the whole EFL business model goes out of the window
I think the EFL are arguing you can be employed by whoever, but if they don't hold your registration then you're not playing. As we've seen a couple of times with Barca, you can employ a player and just be waiting to register him, but he can't play until you have
I expect it'll be settled with a disappointing amount of compensation as no point keeping him around

Yet more sensible business!
Asked this before and no one replied- who is negotiating these deals?
