I always thought that he was at fault for all those away defeats under Rooney.
Then I thought he was the best thing since Sliced Bread this season until we lost one game at home and now I think he's out of his depth.
Just thought I'd sum up the thread.

I am not going to argue with any of the remarks here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
However having served for 35 years in her majesties military (and worked bloody hard in some pretty sh!tty places) even if I retire at 67 I will not have worked as much as she has REIGNED. She has reigned for 70 years - let that sink in (much more than most will ever work)
The difference is, she NEVER had a day off. Imagine having to get up on a cold winters morning, having to put on your make up, get dressed immaculately and do your duty, instead of turning over and saying 'stuff it I am staying in bed'.
I personally think that missing one game in 70 years as a mark of respect is little price to pay. After all that game will still be played, she will never return.

I think the thing that can't be understated is how quickly and effectively we went about our very early business.
That was absolutely crucial as it settled the whole club down, gave reassurances to the squad we had left and gave us something to work on in preseason to provide a platform for the season.
We could have easily collapsed into the season with half existing team propped up by u21s who aren't ready. And it would have been demoralising all around.
Beside I think the business we've done has been very good considering everything and I feel its as close to perfect as we perhaps could have expected.

His work rate for 90 minutes his phenomenal. As he is putting himself about for the full 90 minutes, it means defenders lose their concentration and it creates chances. This has been seen multiple times this season.
I saw on multiple occasions last night, he got the ball into feet, played it out wide and then went full sprint into the box. He was doing this time and time again. He often makes his runs to the back post - and some of our crossing hasn't been great.
Then defensively, he's a monster in our box. He's being given one of the most important defensive heading roles (the free man in the middle) - again - he wins a lot of headers in our box.
It all goes together. If we're winning as a team, and we generally are, then his spot is earnt even without the goals.
What I liked last night - when he missed that chance in the 93rd minute - no-one got on his back - 90% of people in the East stand applauded him. These are the types of fans I want.
He's not even close to being dropped in my eyes - his all-round play is immense, just a goal or two will keep the doom mongers away.

He's a key part of a team that's 7 unbeaten and has won the last 3, people just need to just stop focusing on whether he scores or not, and focus on whether we win or not. The goals will naturally come, he's scored goals throughout his career.

I’ve just been reading about how good it is that DCFC have a man of colour as our manager and how forward thinking it is of us. To me LR is a great coach and a top man to have at the helm and will take us far. That’s it for me nothing more nothing less. I’d never even thought about his background or ethnicity. He’s just the right man for the job regardless whether he’s pink, black, brown, white, green, blue or orange.

Not been with the rowdies since my season ticket in the East Stand corner.
Hope I know some songs still, and that my knees can handle the standing for 90 minutes!

Probably the most infuriating few pages of this forum I've read in a while.
Despite what some of the 'just saying it how it is' Talksport types on here think, no-one at all is saying a performance or tactics are beyond criticism. But at least have the decency to apply some context to criticism  i.e. a bunch of players slung together in no time at all, a rookie manager, a late pre-season & the fact we have dominated the 3 away games these same individuals are outraged we haven't won. Just hysterical, over-entitled garbage that I didnt miss at all last season
If we'd had social media back in the day, some on here would have happily got rid of Arthur Cox in 84/85 (we finished 7th in Division 3 with a bunch of expensive signings, imagine that) & wouldn't have given Clough another season after 67/68.
Just as well David Clowes seems a sensible, measured type & won't be doing kneejerk Mel Morris reactionary cack. He'll look at the table & notice we're just outside the playoff spots...perhaps the bedwetters might like to do the same.

A system that leads to 27 shots away from home. I’ll have that any day of the week.

Why are people fretting so much......Shrewsbury conceded just 51 goals last season, they are very tough to break down and yet, arguably, we should have won 1 0 with the Stearman chance, and we wouldn't be having this debate.
Building from the back is the new norm in football. we are doing it with L1 players who have just met each other. We've made a reasonable if not spectacular start....but already the moaning starts and the chipping away at a manager after 4 league games....we have a very strange supporter base.

went to the cricket last time it was really hot. My mate soaked his y fronts in water, put them in the freezer overnight, then put them on under his shorts before we left for the game. Tip he got from women’s hour but the water was his idea. He said at first they were rigid so a bit scratchy - he blamed his shoes but he was walking oddly plus he said his willy was numb. Then they quickly got soggy. He claimed it was a brilliant idea but as they melted if looked from the front like he’d peed himself, worse from the back and at one stage it looked like the security guys on the gate weren’t going to let him in . He’s still walking pretty strangely and has some sort of fungal rash.
Anyway you could give that a go ?

Used to go to the Walkers Crisp bowl with a Leicester Pal when we were both in the Championship; he used to get hacked off with me when I booed Leicester off at half time each game, castigating them loudly. Best part of the day as we always lost,

Alright Rams, Guiseley (who?) fan here in peace.
I came to the Oxford game on Saturday with my mate (Wolves fan).
It was our first trip to Pride Park between us and usually we pick a random game every so often. So we ended up at your place.
We had a great time, your stadium is fantastic. Plenty of eateries around the ground too. The fans we were sat near were passionate and it was infectious. We were in the North Stand which was family orientated but it was nice to see so many youngsters getting behind the team.
The atmosphere was great, the bounce by the south stand was something I won't forget. Capped with a great goal to get the win aswell.
Only downside being, we parked at the industrial park past the south stand and we didn't move for about an hour after the final whistle. But that didn't spoil a great day out.
All the best for the season, will be looking out for your results and will likely come back later in the season too.

To be fair, it must be pretty tricky for Rick Parry to type with only one hand free as I’m sure he does when updating the Derby County embargo page.

Without wanting to be involved in any of your disagreements with other posters, one point I'd make is that DCFC would have a great case against the EFL if only for the unbelievably unprofessional tone they used.
When they said in an official statement they were "disappointed" a ruling on one aspect went in our favour, then they showed a bias against us. A professional body should not, publicly at least, be "disappointed" that a member of that professional body had been found not to have broken a rule.
Parry was scared of Gibson's threat to sue and caused DCFC to suffer more than was required by the EFL rules because of his cowardice.
No matter what happens going forward, Rick Parry will always be guilty of pushing us to the brink of extinction by his inability to deal with Steve Gibson.
Absolute w****** the pair of them.

I would put Parry, Gibson and Morris on equal footing.
If Derby die all three have contributed to it. While Morris is the root cause, he's done it out of stupidity and thinking he's cleverer than every one else.
Parry and Gibson have done it out of spite.
