Elgin_Ram reacted to Inverurie Ram in Good luck from a Bee
My eldest lad and I were at Watford v Brentford on Saturday. I spoke to a couple of Bees at Wilsden Junction, on route, with one fan predicting a 3-2 win, I went for 2-2 and considering the Watford miss just before the Bees got the winner, I wasn't far away, but my lad predicted 2-1 Brentford. I should listen to him more and maybe back him up in the bookies!
We both enjoyed the game as neutrals and loved watching a game of football that isn't over hyped like the top 4 etc and I was glad we didn't get off the train at Wembley to try and get into the FA Cup Semi Final instead, as I offered my lad the choice, as he supports Liverpool, but appears to prefer what he is currently calling 'real' football. He actually said during the game as we sat in the Graham Taylor Stand, high up in the lower section right on the half way line, that he would of liked to be in the away end for the atmosphere.
He wore his Rams training shirt on Monday night, playing with his mates in the park, unaware we had been relegated until he got home and he wants the current blue away shirt, so maybe he's working it all out and will enjoy a few away trips in Division 1 with his Dad and beyond.

All the very best for the coming season and beyond.I hope Rooney sticks by you with a decent owner on board he has a good a chance as anybody to get you back up.Your fans have been superb through this crap period.Things can change very quick in football and sometimes for the better, look at us in the so called best league in the world the Premier league for another season.Although my opinion of the PL ( I’ve missed 2 games this season )is it’s the fatal attraction of clubs who risk everything to get to the tv cash when for us fans it’s a bland predictable bore fest unless you are a top 4 club the rest just make up the numbers.I won’t shed a tear when we eventually get back to the championship a far better and more competitive league to play in.Hope to be playing you at Pride Park again soon.

It would just sum the whole thing up if the EFL rejected his business plan because he formatted it in Times New Roman and they only accept business plans written in Comic Sans.

Say what you like about Kirchner, I like the cut of his jib.
I believe he's exactly what we need - a fresh, energetic, yet reasoned approach.
Working together with Rooney, I am just so excited about the future ?

Elgin_Ram reacted to Malty in I hope Mel...
I hope Mel …
- is regretful for his time as custodian of Derby
- is able to support the transition from the administrators to the new owners
- is generous in every dealing with the football club especially in regards to the stadium
- never again gambles so aggressively with something he loves
- is able one day to go to a home match and support the club he loves
- provides continuing support to the club wherever he can in whatever way he can
- is forgiven at some point by at least some part of the fan base.
I appreciate the above is controversial, but on my eyes to forgive is much better for you them to bear the weight and emotional drain of holding a grudge.

I remember losing to reading on the last day of the season despite only needing a point in 2015 and being so peed off and frustrated.
Now when we are likely to finish 15 places lower and relegated, I have so much more love for our team and manager.
Just on no players being bought in and 4k wage cap on freebies makes it remarkable with 4 games left that we aren't relegated. The 21 points deduction on top makes this an incredible season.
Comlmeted Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge earlier and had a few drinks on finish so know I'm rambling (apologies) . In short fook MM and the EFL. Every player, coach and staff memeber deserve the upmost respect and I hope they have the greatest career, outside of derby or not. On that note I'm gonna go pass out from exhaustion, UTR

Who wants to go in early, queue up for amazingly disappointing beverage/food, served by someone who either doesn't care or hasn't had training?
Heres an idea, especially if we do end up with PP under council ownership.
They also own the velodrome next door, which I presume is empty on Weekend matchdays?
Open it on matchdays as the fan park, whack a big screen in there showing the days early kick off, get @TomBustler1884 or someone else with experience involved in the food and drink offering, loads of independent food and drink offerings, the odd live band or DJ, before cutting to the RamsTV build up when appropriate.
Lay on free buses from the City centre for the first few weeks, to get everyone on board, then stick with with it.
We did something similar a few years back with the free buses, but without a reason to spend in the ground it soon fizzled out, give people a compelling reason to get there early and it may work.

Get it sorted. Get the tills open and they can have 4 x season tickets of cash from me to do with what they see fit immediately. ☺️

Didn’t Stan Collymore say recently a club like Derby can’t be allowed to die.

Whether it’s replaced or not, the Collymore song can get in the bin. Tinpot and crass in equal measure.

I would still have plenty of concerns about Kirchner, but there are still a lot of positives about him.
He’s shown he’s been interested in the Club for a while, and not necessarily one who is waiting for the Club to rot down to its lowest possible value for jumping in.
More importantly, it would also massively increase the chances of Rooney staying on into next season. He’s done more than enough to deserve the opportunity to actually build a team unrestricted. The loyalty and commitment he’s shown us needs to be repaid, it would be a shame for his entire time with us (post-playing career) to be during turmoil.

Elgin_Ram reacted to Day in Please don't go on the pitch tomorrow.
There has been social media campaigns to see fans on the pitch. Bringing attention to our dire situation.
Going on the pitch tomorrow will only hurt the club, as in the staff, management and players.
Quantuma, EFL, will not have a sleepless night.
We are in desperate times, I understand, feel the frustration and anger.
I have created this topic using my own voice, my own thoughts with no communication from anyone at the club in the hope it keeps some fans off the pitch.
Just one fan, using his own voice asking you all to stop and think.
There has to be better ways in letting our voices be heard without affecting the team.
So far this season, the one positive we can take is the support for this club, it's been second to none.
There is one man tomorrow that deserves that same level of support, one man that does not deserve to see his remaining games abandoned for crowd trouble.
Wayne Rooney.
Come on Derby!

I have one big ask here. Please stay off the pitch, please don’t protest, it’s not the time.
Support the team, that is the most important thing we can do at the moment

I've had the pleasure of "meeting" @i-Ram on forum zoom meetings. I can confirm that he does have a striking resemblance of George. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting his wife however, so can't confirm that she looks like Mildred.

But he won't be at the game or even watching or listening to it so you are all wasting your breath.
Whereas supporting players who are there and helping them put in that extra bit of effort to grab that goal is what we should be doing.

Elgin_Ram reacted to Ghost of Clough in Peaceful protest
Option D - Get in the ground early. Have a few drinks and a bite to eat. Get to your seat early and support the team.
