I remember someone starting a chant of "Paul Warne, your football is sh*t" at Blackpool at 0-0, which got some purchase, before we took the lead.

The most ridiculous criticism of Warne I heard was from a youth sat a couple of rows behind me when we were losing at home to Charlton telling anyone within earshot that Warne "is obnoxious". I wouldn't mind betting he was on the pitch on Saturday proclaiming his love for Warne 😂

You only had to listen to the moan-in after a defeat, draw or scrappy win to realise that the critics were persistent and numerous. I've little doubt that they'll be back the minute we sign an ex-Rotherham player.

Yep, there were two clambering over the seats to get out at the end of Wycombe away (cos they were too important to queue like the rest of us) flinging their fingers in the direction of the pitch

    "f*** off Warne, you're f****** useless"

    Angry, aggressive,  entitled.

We have a fair number of them.

For me, it's travelling to away matches seeing grounds full of fans who aren't glory hunters, they passionately support their local club who probably have no chance of glory - and loads of younger fans who could easily just choose one of the normal 'big 6' to follow - fair play to them

Also, most, if not all of the towns have been a joy to visit, Cheltenham, Oxford, Carlisle, Lincoln, Shrewsbury etc - loved them all

Going to places like Birmingham & Sheffield again won't seem the same

As for the quality of football, it was lower but of course it was, it's the 3rd division

I enjoyed the new places to visit, some of the grounds not so much!

I’m happy for everyone, but particularly happy for the likes of Sibley, Cash and Bird. Stapenhill, Mansfield and Barton’s finest. You could tell it meant that much more to them, particularly Sibley, who grew up a Derby fan.

With them and Tommo, the academy lives on.

Where is Tommo from, do you know? He doesn't sound local but has been here a long time, so I think of him as "one of our own".

    No harm done at all

Ref blew early but think could’ve played the last two minutes.

There was one lad broke rank (I think NE corner) and the ref seemed to see him and turned and blew before the onslaught.

He is the absolute arbiter of time.

Good on you ref! We didn't want that farce they had at Leverkusen where they spent ages herding them back off the pitch.

We’re in a rare position, season finished in April and we have two full months before contracts even expire to look at who we might be able to pick up on a free.

The first game of the season is the weekend around the 10th of August. That’s 15 weeks before our next competitive game, a hell of a lot of time to do a hell of a lot of work on getting this squad ready to compete in the Championship.

And a well-deserved break for our players.

Rest up, lads, you've earned it!

I suspect he wouldn’t feel comfortable telling you lot he’d turned one down to be fair 😂

I think he’d want some guarantees about who starts next season as number 1. I think he’s earned it but we know Vickers is Warnes guy.

Wildsmith the better keeper for me. Even with his rushes of blood to the head!

    I hope he stays.
