Sorry @angieram I missed this thread and have stuck the same Tweet in the Ebou and PW threads 🫢
My bad!
I didn't make it obvious, tbf!

Yep, fair play to him. I spent the first day of Ramadan in Saudi this year and was going to give joining in the fast a go out of politeness but the very second the people I was working with offered to allow us to drink some water and have a smoke, I caved...... and that was before 9am 😄
I'm sure he'll be getting plenty of nutrition today
Let's just hope he's not full of Eid sweet treats! The sugar rush is something else.

I take days to get over a defeat now, I'm sure I never used to be as affected as I am now....
That's interesting and I do wonder why that appears to be so for a lot of people.
I found the administration very worrying, and I suppose I've just been celebrating us having a team to support ever since.
I also know that very few teams "succeed" in the strict definition of getting promoted/winning something, so there are a lot more teams who are losers than there are winners.

This post should be deleted until full time tonight. It has a whiff of the gypsy curse around it.😁
I don't believe in curses. I just thought it was odd that no-one has posted it.
A well-deserved nomination for both of them, imo.
@HorsforthRam, I know they are just nominations, it says so in the first sentence!

Lucky sod , was thinking about the old days when on mornings like this you just knew you wanted to be there and would jump in the car and be able to buy a ticket at the away ticket office for away and home sections and or take a punt you could get in some way
them were ta days🤷🏻♂️
I love watching the coverage of Bundesliga games, where the diehards are at each end of the ground, and the middle sections have fans of both teams chatting, shaking hands etc. I wonder if they ever have any trouble? The Germany fans I have met seem very phlegmatic about their football these days and can take winning and losing in their stride equally well.

I miss chatting to Dan at away games and think of him often. He would be loving this run in, no wobbles for him! We'd discuss tactics in the concourse pre-game, how many we'll win by and possible goalscorers over a cuppa (me) and a pie and a pint (Dan) with much enthusiasm.
I take my photocard of Daniel to every game, and feel he is still with us, willing us on.

Rows? I haven't noticed any and, in contrast, have only seen them supporting each other.
I see the defence as a (preferably) 5 person unit that builds understanding over time.
To bring in Vickers at this crucial stage of the season, with his lack of game time, would be a big mistake, imo.

Gateshead game called off tonight, they now have to play 5 games in 10 days.
Yep, 20 minutes before kick-off. Got to feel for the Aldershot team and supporters. But apparently their management were putting pressure on the referee.

Only heard snatches of a few of the interviews, but Fozzy said he is targeting playing some part in the last game of the season - but might not make it.

Nooooo, that would be terrible. Both @angieram in her usual desire to avoid the rush by leaving 5 minutes early, and @B4’s Sister in memory of her brother, will miss it!

I never leave a game early. I stay and applaud the players off the pitch - win, lose or draw - as I think you well know, young man!

There is an element of that in the decision making process of manufacturers.
Mentioning this person might upset a few people on here, but Kieran Maguire has explained it quite well on his podcast. Basically, it is less profitable for the manufacturers to create shirts with a custom template if they aren't producing many. Therefore, for 'bigger' teams where they will be producing tens of thousands and even millions its alright, whereas for 'smaller' teams it is cheaper to get a template then stick a badge on.
However, there are a number of small teams who have had bespoke kits in recent years. For example, Chesterfield had a bespoke home and away kit this season and revealed a bespoke home shirt for next season (I think their away one is a template). Puma seem to design some decent bespoke kits, even for league and non league teams. This years Chesterfield shirt had the crooked spire on the design, while York City's kit last season had the York minster cathedral built into the design. It would be really good to have a kit inspired by something related to the city of Derby.
I haven't listened to that. I wonder what the factor is to ensure a bespoke kit, then? Couldn't see Chesterfield being in a position to pay extra.

There are a lot of candidates who all deserve it for one reason or another. Such a likeable team.
My immediate thought was NML, as he fits the criteria in the song 🎵
but any of the younger players, or Collins, or Adams, Wilson, the list goes on.

Around 3,000 I believe.
That's pretty good for non-league? And they play at the big athletics stadium, don't they?

I know we like to reminisce, so here is a new interview with Robin Van der Laan, who scored the goal that last won us automatic promotion.
It's a real opportunity for one of our current players to step up and earn their own place in DCFC history by doing similar over the next few games. Who would you put your money on scoring the goal that takes us up?

Listing the stadium as an asset of community value (ACV) isn't perfect (as we found out when MM sold the stadium to himself!) but it is a safeguard for the future.
We are very pleased that the Club has supported our application.
We are in good hands with our current owner (but we might not always be!)

All great experience for Brown. Make him hungry for success.

Trip to Wembley for Brown, then. Pleased for him, some players don't get that in their career.
