Have we ever had so much coverage ?

Is it safe to wear Derby gear in Shipley?! I live in Guiseley and saw a fellow Ram wearing last season's away shirt near the retail park when I was driving past the other week. Must be a few of us around?

    1968/1969 Division 2 Champions – 50 years on

Giving this a bump for those who missed it yesterday. Have now added a email subscription form so you know when the blog is updated.
  3. A football club's minutes book dating back to 1888 has been discovered providing a rare and fascinating insight into the lifestyle of Britain's first ever professional players. The historical record was penned at the formation of England's Football League - over a century before it became the Premier League as we know it today. The official Derby County FC document reveals a seismic shift in the way clubs, players and fans of the 'Beautiful Game' have changed over the last 130 years. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6012717/Derby-County-FC-club-minutes-1888-football-changed.html
  4. This season marks the 50th anniversary since Derby County became Division Two Champions under the management of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor. Read more at http://www.derbycountymemories.co.uk/1968-1969-division-2-champions-50-years-on.

There is/will be. The Derby County Historian Andy Ellis released Derby County - The First 100 Years: Match by Match in January this year which covers every first team game between 1884 and the 1984/85 season. It has some additional features compared to Gerald Mortimer's last 'Complete Record' version in 2006 e.g. player appearances on a match-by-match basis so you can find a player’s debut or a milestone appearance, league table position after every game and goalkeeper clean sheets. A version covering the period 1985/86 to date is planned in the near future and will be regularly updated. Can be found at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Derby-County-First-Years-Match/dp/1981637737.
