James Daly MP was the star of yesterday.
The passion this bloke has for Bury FC is inspiring.
If you watch nothing else today watch this bloke describe how no one cared about one of the “little clubs”. -

That’s what I was thinking, assuming we still have a club next season it would be a nice gesture to play a pre season friendly.
Might be a bit of a problem!??
The ground has been unused since August 2019, when Bury FC was expelled from the English Football League. In November 2020, the club was placed in administration and Gigg Lane was put up for sale in May 2021 by the administrator.
A fan group known as Est 1885 says it has signed an agreement to buy Bury FC, along with its intellectual property, trading name, history and assets.
A spokesperson for the group said it hoped the club would be reinserted into the footballing pyramid in time for the 2022/23 season.
Image this…….No wonder the Bury MP spoke with so much passion.

I’m emailing James Daly MP for Bury North and thanking him for his contribution.
………bit of finger pointing honesty about the EFL!

Tracey Crouch MP, Chair, Independent Fan-Led Review of Football Governance.
Writing to the Dept of Culture Media and Sport regards an update on the work of the fan led review.
The removal of club directors from the Board of the EFL (as recommended in its own earlier governance review) and the National League with both appointing new independent directors would also be a welcome reform.
……………..well I’ll second that luv!

Oral evidence: Sport governance
Tuesday 7 December 2021
Tracey Crouch MP, Chair, Independent Fan-Led Review of Football Governance.
Damian Green: In the context of this being a fan-led review and there is lots of very good stuff in it, it strikes me that one of the paradoxes that perhaps you have not managed to solve—and it may not be solvable—is that when you punish a club because the owners have done something reprehensible or reckless, you punish the fans. Is that just insoluble?
Tracey Crouch: I feel quite strongly about it. I think it is very unfair when clubs are docked points because of the behaviours of their fans. We do address that in the report, about the various sanctions that can be employed. You cannot remove point deduction entirely from that process, but I think there are certainly different ways you can punish the owners and the directors before you get to points deduction. I think there are a lot of examples where clubs have been relegated. Clive Betts always tells me about Sheffield Wednesday, for example, and—
Damian Green: Or Derby this year.
Tracey Crouch: Derby, yes. I think it is very hard on the fans for those clubs because, as I say, they are being punished because of the behaviours of their owners. But we do address that in the report. I think it is impossible to remove the threat of points deduction because obviously if you are relegated, then that in turn impacts on your financial well-being but it is unfair on the fans.
…………….if any wordsmith on here would like to put together a response to the points made I would gladly send it off to Tracey Crouch MP.

Sorry but the change.org petitions is just a email gathering service, it won’t get you a guaranteed reply.
The petition needs to go on the government petitions page where 10,000 signatures will guarantee a government reply.?

You only need 10,000 signatures on a government petition to get a government reply. ?

I hope & believe that Wayne Rooney will see this out to the end of the season, then, who knows
.…….if he doesn’t, and decides to go elsewhere I want Warnock (sacked by Gibson) in within 5 minutes, I’d pay to go to his first press conference.

Derby players told to approach administrators if they want to leave, as hopes fade of prompt takeover & cash needed to survive season.
Tomorrow’s team selection will be interesting.
Should players whose agents have contacted the administrators that they want to leave be anywhere near the matchday squad.

Agents more like………………..Rooney must be steaming, he’s now totally out of the loop regards the squad, his next media interview hopefully will show us which way this great club is heading!

Well today is almost over, which leaves Thursday and Friday for the preffered bidder to be announced or Wayne is going to look a right burk.
I was as confident as ever after he so confidently said he will be there at Saturdays game knowing who the bidder is and hopefully having signed a player.
I am betting that if there is no movement by tomorrow lunch time Rosenior will be on pre and post match interviews and nothing will be mentioned about the takeover. Just lots of Liam saying how much he loves Wayne.
If it’s the preferred bidder who has promised Rooney assurances to sign a player, he’ll be named on Saturday and Rooney turns up to the match………..and nothing happens “Wayne is going to look a right burk”.
If it’s the administrators who have promised Rooney can sign a player, name the preferred bidder and given Saturday as a deadline ……….and nothing happens “Wayne is going to look a right burk”
if you believe that Rooney has been given these assurances and nothing happens this weekend then I’m afraid that “Wayne is definitely going to look a right burk” and could decide he’s had enough………………and I wouldn’t blame him one bit!

The usual Geordie mouthpieces giving it large on the comments section from The Times article regards Ashley’s bid.
Here’s my favourite reply.
We don't own our ground, have debts totalling £60m, owe HMRC £26m, haven't seen the PL since 2008 and have a squad made up of pensioners and children. Along the way we sacked our captain for his involvement in a drink driving debarcle, we had very public spats with the EFL, we are being sued by fellow EFL members, and this year marks 14 since we were the worst team in PL history.
We know what bad ownership looks like.
NUFC fans don't know they're born.
…………….seems fair comment to me!?

Obviously Davies, Knight, Bird & Jags deservedly get the plaudits but someone like Stearman who has let nobody down, starts and gets man of the match award, and is then back on the bench, no moaning, no whinging and no Lakaku type criticism of the club deserves a mention.
Real professional old school type………………..a real asset for the second half of this season.

I used to go and watch in the 60s Derby Roe Farm, Chris Fuller in goal, Eric Allsop at right wing, Fuller had trials with Aston Villa when Tommy Doc was there, Allsop went and signed for Bury, But came back as he was homesick.
Played for Roe Farm on the Racecourse when they were managed by Jon Page, knew Chris and Eric, then moved on to Prims
.……..getting like all our yesterday’s this!

I read that Football League World (whoever they are) are predicting that January’s transfer business could see one player in and two out at Derby.
Their predictions are an extension to Phil Jagielkas contract, the two out are Tom Lawrence and Sam Baldock.
…………..If that’s the state of the squad at the end of January I’d be bloody ecstatic

Chelsea have announced a loss of £153.4 million for the year ended June 21. A year in which they won the Champions League. What chance do the rest of us have in making a profit?
It’s all relative really, they’ve got a squad valued at £803 million and an estimated annual wage bill of £163 million
as for us…………………………we’ve got a squad valued at( place best guess here) and an estimated annual wage bill of (place best guess here)

What is the average manager on in League 1?
From April 2020. East Anglia Times
The survey, filled in by 18 Championship outfits and 15 in the third tier, also shows that one League One manager at a ‘southern club’ is trousering £550,000 a year – it seems highly likely that boss is Paul Lambert.
That wage is almost £400,000 more than the average manager’s wage in the third tier of £182,438.

Urgent Question on DCFC in Parliament
in Derby County Forum
Posted
Transcript of Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonalds contribution from yesterday
As a lifelong Boro fan, can I say to the hon. Member for Mid Derbyshire (Mrs Latham) that no Middlesbrough football club fan wants to see Derby County—a great football club—go into administration and exit the league. There are great links between our clubs, not the least of which was personified by the great Brian Clough. I know that the Minister is doing his best, but the details are complicated. There is the potential claim, which is founded in the mismanagement of Derby by its previous owners, who offended against the rules and were punished as a result. That is why we are in this position today. I urge the Minister to familiarise himself with the statement from Middlesbrough football club, which has made it clear that it does not want to see Derby fall into liquidation and that it
“is happy to be realistic in its expectations in order for Derby County to exit administration.”
I encourage the Minister to encourage the EFL to encourage the administrator to engage with Middlesbrough, which is very realistic about how it can assist in this process, but at the moment is being met with silence.
