I think it’s fine as it is the area is very different to Inner city stadia where stands were named after the area adjacent. I don’t really fancy
    The Arena End
    The Car Park stand
    The Padel stand
    The industrial estate End

I really wouldn't want stands named after ex players/managers - I just hate all that living in the past.

A think a few things to think about here.
    1. I’d take those estimates there with a pinch of salt. That estimate puts Blackburn players on less than £6k a week on average. (25 players) Not having it.
    2. Our wage bill has been widely reported but that figure, someone correct me if I’m wrong, is the entire clubs wage bill. Not just playing staff. There is no way our average players wage is £13.5k a week.

I think thats warnes strength tbh , coaching, man management getting the best out of players
look at didzy last year.. best career scoring season ever at the age he was.
nelson… i wager thats one of his best seasons to boot.

cashin… looks a bloody star destined for the prem tbh.
collins, kept out the side for large chunks last year cos of didzys form but he still managed to squeez another what 17-18 goals out of a guy at the tail end of his career.
nml… again, probably one of his best or most productive seasons
    it aint by chance

I think those comments came in the immediate aftermath of the defeat at Shrewsbury. Whilst the sentiments might have been valid at the time, the way some people expressed them were not. Perhaps a reason why we should all take a moment before posting after a disappointing defeat rather than ranting whilst emotions are high.

A contract extension right now would come out of pure sentimental reaction to what happened at the weekend. There's no other reason for it.
I don't think DC is the type to do that. Quite rightly IMO.

Surely there's no rush to consider Warne's contract, there's enough length to give both sides comfort.
Much as actually achieving promotion has put to he'd a lot,I know some have a valid question about Paul Warne in the championship. I feel like if that gets answered positively (in so far as results in line budgets and expectations from the board) then it comes down to what PW wants to do as it's clear Clowes is bought into PW for all sorts of reasons beyond the bare results.

No need to extend a contract that has 2 years to run. If we have a successful first season in the Championship (by the owner's metric, not necessarily the fans) then it might be appropriate/desirable, but not right now. I've no doubt that they'll be rewarded for achieving promotion by way of bonuses, and rightly so, but the project was "stability in the championship within 5 years" and there's still work to be done to achieve that.

While I don't expect a relegation fight. I certainly don't expect us to be ripping up the league based on fan base size. The current team is pretty much a band of bandits that were cobbled together on a shoe string. A large amount will probably be moved on, and there are those out of contract. We know that DC does not have the bank roll of many owners. So unless we get investment,  we can't expect the very best that the championship can offer. We will probably need a fair few new players. I would temper any expectations.  Any thing more than mid table would be great I think in. the first year.
    Just my opinion

If I were David Clowes I certainly wouldn’t give a rats arse about my manager ‘enjoying’ a 80-90% approval rating on a fans forum (no disrespect admin 😬).

I would however see how he gets on next season before thinking about a new long term deal…

If I were Clowes I’d be leaving Warne (and his staff’s) contract as is. Warne probably also content with that. There’s still 2 years to run, probably had some sort of bonus or % increase written in should he achieve promotion. Wait and see how we go and if there’s a need to discuss a new deal it can happen later in the next season.

I parked at Tesco's this season and, apart from having to avoid pedestrians leaving the ground, I thought it was relatively easy to get away from especially with the motorway being so close. Certainly easier than Pride Park.
