Harsh to blame Given as our goalkeeping coach is Jason Pearcey.

    Martyn Waghorn v Sheff Wed.
Under that amount of pressure, one of our best penalties in years.
Who knows how important that goal could turm out to be for us as a club.

It is much easier to talk about running a football club than it is to do it, as he found out when he took Crystal Palace into administration

Surely though there comes a point where someone says enough is enough. Surely the punishment has to fit the crime, not destroy the club. Arguably the club has already been punished enough? which of the other transgressors have been hounded in the media like Derby? Were QPR or Villa or recently SWFC? The EFL could have dealt with this so differently and with a little acceptance of the fact that their rules are not explicit enough and that is at the very least a contributory factor? Surely?
Owners only do this because the Championship, as a competition has been ruined by parachute payments.

Can I just point out that if ST sales are limited, and there is a criteria to be applied, I queued all night in Shaftesbury Crescent for a semi-final ticket v United in 1976.

They are not in a much better state than we are and likely to get worse looking at the last set of financial results and ageing bloated squad. Be even better if the law catches up with the owner

Claude Davis was outstanding in the championship for Preston - for us in the prem he was a car crash.  Mikkel Beck had a couple of years playing for Middlesbrough, again at a higher level than we’re performing at, and was a key part of their promotion into the prem...
I can’t believe I’m defending this pair - they were both rubbish.

If and when we can start signing players again and if we are looking at freebies then Dan Cowley has been released by Birmingham.
Looked good against us then lost his way under Karanka, he looked a good player at this level skilful and combative and still only 23.

Stop wasting your time bickering like 5 year olds in class about stuff in the past.
    "Miss......Miss........I'm right, he's wrong! "...........................
None of us can change history. Our club with our support can change and will change for the better.
I don't worry anymore...........we stayed up, we still have a club to support and we start again with or without a point deduction.
We go again......fans get back in the grounds, home and away, we sing, we drink, we are merry, happy and proud to be D.C.F.C.
We will have a blank slate eventually and some of us will carry on honoured to stand firm with the Ram on skin, flag and shirt.
    ROONEY...........ROONEY.............

I really can't see it being anything to do with "Wait and see what numbers are allowed in".
If we are told tomorrow that we can start next season with a fully opened stadium, that will come with the obvious "Subject to change" mantra.
Similarly so, if the announcement isn't until next month, and the limit is stated as "50% capacity" (purely a hypothetical example).

Make plans and adjust if required.  Sitting around waiting just isn't happening at any other business in the country!

    Anyway...
I seem to recall someone on here posting something along the lines of "Virtually all other clubs are selling theirs", so purely as a scientific study, and solely for the benefit of my peers, I decided to check out a random club to see if they are selling their season tickets.
I say random, but in reality, I wanted to compare a similar sized club (Former European giant currently on its ar5e), from a similar location and background (Working class Middle England, by the river), a similar sized audience (20k+ for them, nearer 30k for us) and a similar league standing (Championship doldrums).
In fact, the similarities between this particular club and our own are striking, and we'd no doubt be mistaken for identical twins... had it not been for their pink seats... oh... and the fact their 21/22 season tickets are on sale!

Doesn't look like there's mention of general sales as yet, but with reference to renewals, they are already hard at it...

Apologies for not copying & pasting, but it was a pdf.

    The bloke putting up the half-time scores....match A, B, C etc.
Being able to stand behind the visitors' goal for both halves.
The fizzing sound of the floodlights coming on.
Match Of The Day when it was the only way you could see top level football - it seemed to mean a lot more than the wall-to-wall SKY coverage of today.
Reading newspapers when football reporting did just that - actually reported on the match itself without all the side issues we see these days.

Getting quite bored of all the 'nobody's going to want to buy us' BS. To my mind, most recently, there were three really significant inhibitors to what I would term, serious investors; firstly, the imminent threat of relegation'; secondly, the fear of a significant points deduction for next season and a possibly another season-long relegation fight as a result; and lastly, the fact that a deal had already been struck with Alonso pending EFL ratification. In the last few weeks, two of those factors have already been mitigated and we are now told we have multiple credible suitors. Happenstance?
As regards the last outstanding issue, that being our punishment for our supposed FRS 102 'non-compliance', gimme a break! Does anyone really believe the original DC are suddenly going to turn around and ratify a 12 point deduction, or anything like it?
My predictions for the immediate future: A) The club will be under new, EFL approved and sanctioned ownership inside 3 months. B) There'll be no significant FFP punishment, if for no other reason than we've done nothing wrong. C) The current never-ending pile-on from some on here will thankfully peter out and melodrama and inter-fan sniping levels will return to something like those prevalent before the original FFP charge.
    And breathe....

Just enjoying the game as a young’un, no FFP, accounts, clickbait drama, ITK social media accounts.
22 players on the pitch, trying to score a goal and that pure joy when your team did.
