Premier ram reacted to brady1993 in Best Derby County signing
Maybe not be the flashiest and maybe not truly the best but I think Forsyth deserves an honourable mention. The amount we've got out of a player we signed for pennies, been through all the turbulence we've had in the last few years, who seems like he's going to get nudged out of the side every few years before finding his way back in is all pretty remarkable.

Premier ram reacted to Jourdan in Kenzo Goudmijn
Kenzo is a quality player, but as with any midfielder, you need players around him to complement him. That’s why Adams-Ozoh-Kenzo is such a well balanced midfield because all of them have a strength that can make up for another’s weakness. That balance is lost when you put Osborn in there.
It’s been obvious since day one that Kenzo is likely to take time to get to grips with the physical side of English football and as such might prefer the home comforts of Pride Park. Perhaps it’s not surprising he struggled to impose himself against Sheffield United who press very intensely and play with a lot of aggression.
He is used to having time and space on the ball and playing at a different tempo, so of course it’s to be expected that sometimes he struggles to deal with the intensity of our opposition.
Let’s see how consistent he is months down the line. I expect that to come once he is fully settled.

He needs time to adjust to different approaches in Championship matches home and away.
A tip, there is more tackling and direct movement and passing away, positioning being all important.
Some make this adjustment, some don't, I believe Kenzo has what it takes to adjust.

Premier ram reacted to Jourdan in Doesn’t Phillips have to start
We have kept three clean sheets in six league games and conceded just three in five games since Blackburn away, two of which were goals of real quality (Bayo’s volley and Hamer’s free kick). It shows that we are learning and adjusting, albeit not without some moments of panic.
It looks like Warne will persist with 4-3-3 or a variant of that, so Phillips will have to bide his time until Cashin and Nelson really fall below the standard or indeed make game defining errors.
There are 40 plus games to play (if you include the FA Cup) so there will be plenty of chances for Phillips to make his mark.
The midfield balance in front of the defence is more of a concern, let’s be honest. Ozoh and Thompson are both out and Osborn hasn’t really reached full fitness and got into a rhythm.

Spot on , no way would I class our central defenders as poor

Not a single mention for the great Bobby Davison.
My absolute idol growing up watching the Rams.
91 goals in 216 appearances over 2 spells was some effort.
Broke my heart though when signed for the Dirties!

Seth for me, signed for us, went for a good sum to Leeds, nearly bankrupted them, came back to us for free and got us promoted.

Premier ram reacted to tomsdubs in Championship 24/25 rival watch
Some of the money these clubs have spent to be absolutely turd is insane, we're not doing bad for the little outlay we put in to fees. I think it shows the importance of good coaching and organisation.

Premier ram reacted to Crewton in Derby County Memories
We did the double over them 98/99 season though. Not 7-1, but still good times, and Paolo scored 3 over the two games IIRC.

It’s pathetic and embarrassing

Sorry, I rather seem to have hijacked the matchday thread, which I didn't mean to.
Just to say the matter of away fans' behaviour has been raised at numerous SCG meetings and we always get the same answer - choose where you sit. Sit? They're having a laugh!
I have always supported safe standing and singing sections (mainly so I can avoid them!) but there will always be people who insist on standing where they want, doing what they want. Police and stewards film them but only from the safety of the pitch. They need to get in amongst it, but they won't.
I'll shut up now and let you get back to the football. I can't add much to that as I happened to be "sat" behind two 6'6" guys on Saturday so saw very little of the game.

Premier ram reacted to NG2Ram in Festival and Gig Tickets
It was a fantastic gig, and as you say Frank was excellent, it was obvious that he was really enjoying himself both on stage and when he came down in to the pit for “Satellite”. I also thought that the support act Molotov, who I’d not seen before, were very good.
On Saturday I managed to get back from Sheffield in time to see Mad Dog McCrea and Derbyshire band 5 Hills Out at the Rescue Rooms, both of whom were top notch.
