WharfedaleRam reacted to Derbados in Derby County vs Fulham matchday thread, Friday 15th April, 8pm
That ref was desperate for Fulham to win it, Jobi Mcanuff had to severely backtrack after claiming Fulham would come and steamroller over us.
Sky, the ref and the EFL we’re utterly desperate to see Fulham celebrating promotion on our pitch tonight. . .
duck you, sincerely from all at Derby County. Hope your journey back is a ******* miserable one!

I think there’s a lot of scepticism following MM, and justifiably so. He was the dream owner - local boy done good invests in his boyhood team. What could possibly go wrong??!!
Likewise, I don’t meannyou but it could by any PB and there’ll be criticism from some quarters. If it was Appleby some would say we were too frugal last time, lacked ambition, etc. (personally I think that was right and we had a well run club). If it was Ashley others would say haven’t we listened to the Newcastle fans, look how he runs his business/treats his employers. And we’ve seen the criticism of CK and he hasn’t even been a week since he was announced.
We have someone who’s prepared to save us and invest in what is a mess left behind by MM. Wayne likes him, he’s got good footballing people behind him. Garry Cook hasn’t just joined up with him in the last couple of weeks, he’s been there throughout. He’s obviously had a plan to invest in a football club for some time and, by his own admission, has looked at a few options. We’re not in a position to be choosy, so for now, until we know more let’s get behind him!!

WharfedaleRam reacted to IslandExile in Kirchner- A risk or a potential reward
One positive is that, first time around, Rooney backed Kirchner's bid - saying that they shared the same vision for the club. Lots of emphasis on the academy, developing players, sustainable business plan and so on.
Besides Gary Cook, isn't Paul Stretford, Rooney's agent, one of Kirchner's advisors? So there's a relationship between owner-elect and manager there - a good thing.
We're all grateful for Rooney's efforts this year and feel he deserves a chance when times are less arduous than they've been this season. Kirchner will give him that opportunity.

Agree, i have 3 adult children who im sure said and did things they regretted when young, buts thats how you learn through your mistakes. I am immensely proud of how they have grown up. You cant hold things against what was said when young, its now that counts plus what about some of the disgusting songs that some fans sing at matches, no difference to me.

I'm tired of people in society constantly looking to find something to bash folk with. If Twitter was around when I was young and getting pissed down sadlergate, chances are I would have posted many an inappropriate msg.

EFL currently waiting for the Reading result to decide whether we can have the 15 points this season or next…
Reading win = points deduction next season
Reading lose = we will think about it depending on how you do this Saturday.

WharfedaleRam reacted to sage in We are not defeated
Regardless of the score tomorrow
Regardless of our league position
Regardless of whether we are taken over by Appleby, Ashley or go to into liquidation, we are not defeated.
Whilst we, the fans love our club
Whilst the players give their all
Whilst when Saturday comes we still gather ourselves, our loved ones, our friends, our tickets, our scarves with that glint in our eye, we are not defeated.
In August whether we are in the Championship, League One or the Northern Premier League we will be full of pride, because we are part of something that money can't buy or take away.
We are Derby.
We are not defeated.

WharfedaleRam reacted to Day in Please don't go on the pitch tomorrow.
There has been social media campaigns to see fans on the pitch. Bringing attention to our dire situation.
Going on the pitch tomorrow will only hurt the club, as in the staff, management and players.
Quantuma, EFL, will not have a sleepless night.
We are in desperate times, I understand, feel the frustration and anger.
I have created this topic using my own voice, my own thoughts with no communication from anyone at the club in the hope it keeps some fans off the pitch.
Just one fan, using his own voice asking you all to stop and think.
There has to be better ways in letting our voices be heard without affecting the team.
So far this season, the one positive we can take is the support for this club, it's been second to none.
There is one man tomorrow that deserves that same level of support, one man that does not deserve to see his remaining games abandoned for crowd trouble.
Wayne Rooney.
Come on Derby!

If some of MMs money is used to oil the wheels for the deal to go through and avoid the 15 points I’m not sure why people would then withdraw their support of the Club. I thought most wanted him to cough up in some way? And if as a result he retained a % or shareholding then so be it. Some Clubs have and are still bank rolled by Dodgy Russian money or Saudi government cash. Why should we be ashamed to have a local who want to at least try to right his past mistakes

WharfedaleRam reacted to Tyler Durden in I’ve enough of football.
When one player is asking for 500k a week which annually equates to the offers being made for the acquisition of our entire football club then you know things are just rotten to the core.

WharfedaleRam got a reaction from OohMartWright in I feeling down after tonight
From the elation of a good first half performance to the devastation of another defeat and all the usual gestures from the shed stand departees at the end. We were loud and proud first half and the lads clearly appreciated it as they came to applaud us at the end, for several minutes - emotional! We did what we could, in the stands and on the pitch, but Blackburn's half time changes made all the difference and they bullied us quite a bit second half.
It was great, for me at least, to reconnect after nearly two years away. Meeting friends, seeing how the kids have grown in two years and singing to support my team until I was hoarse was a joy. Makes life worth living in these uncertain and tragic times.

We are all feeling down and people show it in different ways .
Some think they know best about team selection.
Some think they have all the answers.
Truth is none of us have the answers right now .
Lets just get behind the team and hope we have one to support next season.

WharfedaleRam reacted to Comrade 86 in Blackburn Away Match Thread
Genuinely saddened tonight. Feels like we've finally run out of steam, though I still can't give up just yet. I guess it's not in my nature. Sad to see some fans turning on the players and coaches too. Completely understand that folk are frustrated as for half an hour we looked like we might just defy logic yet again, but I hope when we all reflect on this with calmer heads, we'll remember where the blame for our situation really lies. I don't read too much into folk venting a little in all honesty and for the little it's worth, I don't think others should either. It would sadden me far more if small cracks in the unity we've shown in recent months were to widen into fissures. I think we're better than that. I really do. We might be an occasionally dysfunctional family, but a family is exactly what we are and I hope that never changes.
I also think that obvious frustrations aside, we've shown to all and sundry that we're a seriously staunch lot. This season serves as ample proof of that fact and countless neutrals have acknowledged as much. God knows we've been put though the wringer these last 2 to 3 years and by and large, we've still managed to find some humour in the grimmest of grim situations that following a team can throw up. I'm proud of that. The relentless support from the stands, I think it's fair to say, has been the envy of the League. In so much, along with the battered and bruised squad and the beleaguered coaching team, we've earned the right to hold our heads up high no matter what the outcome. Compare and contrast Rams fans with their Blackburn counterparts and I challenge anyone to tell you otherwise. We might be L1 or worse next season as a team, but as a fanbase, we're strictly Premier League and no ducker's ever going to take that away from us.

Aye, and it's because you kept spelling it with a z that you're a former editor and not current!
Although having said that, it took me half an hour yesterday to spell consecutive in a way the spell checker deemed correct, I was sure it had a q, for some reason.
