And obviously not forgetting it sounded on the radio like he had another tremendous game!! Here's hoping for Everton away next round, it would be great for him

Like the confidence of his post match interview. Always good to see a young player stand up tall and speak with his chest out on the radio and on Rams TV cameras, especially in a defender.
He sounds fearless, love to see that in a lad of that age

Not sure about that I heard he made two great saves?
Sibley and Barkhuizen ones I'd have said. They didn't look like huge saves but they were right in front of the keeper and he blocked them.
But that's my point, it's a bit deceptive because it didn't seem like we tested the keeper with big highlight reel shots that he acrobatively saved out of the top corner. He just covered his six yard box well and stopped the chances we made right in front of goal
If we had more composure you can see actually they had the whole goal to aim at and while the keeper did well for them, we let ourselves down with our finishing more than anything else

Weirdly cathartic to see the ridiculous posts calling for the managers head (albeit subtlety).Following last season it kind of feels like our very own freedom of speech moment, in that we fought for our future to even give daft folk a voice and a choice.
On the contrary, it makes me angry to see so much entitlement and demand for instant gratification after all we've been through
I see your point though

And honestly, if anyone can explain to me what they think Rosenior got wrong to make them think he needs the sack, I'm all ears.
Can't believe I'm hearing calls like that this early on. Its as if none of you have ever actually watched football before this season

We did create chances though, let's be honest.
Barkhuizen 1on1 on the left first half
"That Stearman Chance"
Sibley in front of goal saved
Cashin header over the bar
About 3 or 4 blocked shots in 10 seconds when it pinballed around everywhere
I think the keeper didn't have to make a lot of big saves, that's what makes it looks like we didn't create. We made chances that no keeper in the world would have got to, if only we'd actually had some composure to finish them

I would say Barnsley scored for us from that corner as no one was really near it in a Derby Shirt - it was welcome but it wasn’t our actions
It was an excellent delivery that basically put the ball in the net and needed a touch from absolutely anyone to get it over the line, and made it difficult for them to defend

Collins has been good in every game I've seen him. The goal is just eluding him. The more pressure we put on him, the harder it'll be. Just go on performance and results. If we play well and score goals when he's in the team, then that's how it is. Everything else will work itself out

I kept going on about how we need to sign Cole Stockton or Alfie May and I wasnt wrong, we need a striker who scores a lot of goals.
Collins 3 goals in 23 games makes him the wrong player for us, am I wrong, time will tell ...
Have you been asleep for 3 years? We can't spend any fees

I think his development started to plateau here. I think there's a good chance we've seen the last of him.
If he goes there and gets game time and does well, I think he'll move permanently, either Carlisle or someone else.
Rightly or wrongly, he hasn't had the game time you'd expect with how thin our squad has been. Maybe there's something in him that just means he doesn't fit what we want in the first team. He's definitely got ability and potential and I hope he goes on to fulfil it (and I believe he will)
-
I mean I thought Collins did well on Saturday and I don't think we should be having this discussion after his debut. I think he will score plenty in this team
And I'm into technical analysis
But this is just rubbish. "Man stands still and then turns around" tells you precisely nothing about him or his game.

Will say it again. Cashin should be first choice
There's a few players currently outside the regular 11 who I think will do really well in League One. Cashin, Thompson, Sibley the main ones. I think we have to trust the manager with it because we'll need a whole squad and I think they'll work their way in. They're young players with a point to prove, perhaps in the early stages we do need to stick with the experienced heads to hit the ground running and inject the youth quality a few games in.
Plus, it keeps them hungry, it's an early message that they're not guaranteed their spots and they've got to keep developing in training to get the shirt. And then play well when they've got it, to keep the shirt.

The second goal was not offside, Rams TV even show an angle that proves it.
It's a preseason friendly folks, let's not do this. Don't be bitter

That was a good goal. Definitely 2 leagues of quality difference

I’m guessing it’s another belter of a game given the lack of comments
It's not been bad, both teams have had a fairly slow build up to chances and its poor at the final bit for both teams, but the game has moved forward and chances have been created.
I think our wide players are mucking into midfield a lot and then not getting themselves past the defensive line as a result

Just like Johnny Russell then ?
Yes, him, but faster and also less ball control. He's like the next level of Russell
Hey, I'm not arguing, Russell was a good player here, I'd take that all day long.

Barkhuizen seems like he made a wish with a crooked genie for devastating pace, and the tragic side effect is he's been left with zero ball control
-
What makes you all think Knight is at RB might I ask? Smith can also play there. Not to mention it could be 343 with him at wing back and Smith or Hourihane other side

I'm not even remotely concerned. 7 competitive games played, 4 wins and 2 draws. We seem to want to ignore cup games for some reason, clearly doesn't fit the agenda.
I am extremely confident we will have a good season. Not because the league is easy but because it is hard, and that's what seems to motivate this group of players this year
First season in a long time that I am absolutely convinced and confident we will have a good year. Playoffs at the very least, which is my criteria for a good season. In 7 competitive games, we've looked like we've deserved to win every single one.
