I think his development started to plateau here. I think there's a good chance we've seen the last of him.

If he goes there and gets game time and does well, I think he'll move permanently, either Carlisle or someone else.

Rightly or wrongly, he hasn't had the game time you'd expect with how thin our squad has been. Maybe there's something in him that just means he doesn't fit what we want in the first team. He's definitely got ability and potential and I hope he goes on to fulfil it (and I believe he will)

I mean I thought Collins did well on Saturday and I don't think we should be having this discussion after his debut. I think he will score plenty in this team

There's a few players currently outside the regular 11 who I think will do really well in League One. Cashin, Thompson, Sibley the main ones. I think we have to trust the manager with it because we'll need a whole squad and I think they'll work their way in. They're young players with a point to prove, perhaps in the early stages we do need to stick with the experienced heads to hit the ground running and inject the youth quality a few games in.

Plus, it keeps them hungry, it's an early message that they're not guaranteed their spots and they've got to keep developing in training to get the shirt. And then play well when they've got it, to keep the shirt.

The second goal was not offside, Rams TV even show an angle that proves it.

It's not been bad, both teams have had a fairly slow build up to chances and its poor at the final bit for both teams, but the game has moved forward and chances have been created.

I think our wide players are mucking into midfield a lot and then not getting themselves past the defensive line as a result

When we talk about mental health, far too often keep a narrow view in terms of depression/anxiety. There are lots of forms of depression and anxiety, lots of trigger points, and lots of ways it may manifest itself in behaviours. A very common one is a theme of self-sabotage, which this lad has a history of. There are also many other mental health problems a person can suffer beyond depression, with varying degrees of severity, which a footballer is just as likely to suffer as any other human being on the planet.

Most importantly though, the question of how all of this pertains to Bobby Duncan is something you know absolutely zero about. Stop talking.

Further to this, Rosenior refers to exactly this in the post match interview that they worked the players extremely hard in the heat for the bigger picture.

Though he does sound extremely disappointed with the performance which is refreshing in some ways because you get a bit bored of hearing "it's just a run-out, it doesnt matter" from managers in the past

Indeed yes, he hasn't signed the contract, he has just agreed the terms of it. He could go back in September and say "actually no, I want more money"

It's not a flashy signing at all but I'm surprised people saying they've never heard of him. Turned out regularly for Watford and Ipswich as I recall. Bags of experience across lots of levels of the EFL

Call me a fool but I feel a bit sorry for him. He nearly ruined us and he undoubtedly set us back a long way but I never believed that was his intention

Don't get me wrong though, he's not my favourite person in the world. And for all the money he's blown, I doubt he'll go hungry or cold this winter like many will up and down the country. So I don't dwell on feeling sorry for him for very long.

It's a tragic affair best left in the past. He's gone now.

Interestingly I had a post referencing a former Radio Derby commentator here that got deleted, presumably someone got too sensitive about it or for some reason a mod got panicky about libel even though we all definitely heard it at the time
