Sweetness34 reacted to Crewton in Corey Blackett-Taylor - Signed on Loan/Permanent in Summer
I think it must have refused to eat until Hales scored, which explains its emaciated appearance....

When the football card designers didnt have a transferred player in their new colours , they used to draw the new colours on . There are loads of examples from a few years collections in the seventees . All of them are laughable .

Seriously though, what on earth is that Ram? I’ve honestly never seen that before.
The ‘72 ram looked just like today’s beautiful creature so where did this one 4 or 5 years come from?

It’s my favourite childhood memory too mate.
I was 10 but remember it as clearly as any other memory in my whole life!
later that year me and my brother got a PlayStation for Christmas and the genuine surprise at unwrapping that is my second favourite childhood memory.
1996 was my favourite year

Sweetness34 reacted to Mucker1884 in Steve bloomers washing errrrr I mean watching
I can't believe anyone claiming to be a Rams fan can openly admit to this! 😲
It's like not knowing we beat Forest in the 1903 FA Cup Final by a record 7-0.
It's like not knowing we were formed in 1882.
It's like not knowing our record attendance is 41, 826 v Arsenal.
It's like not knowing Kevin Hector made more penalty saves than any other Derby County Goalkeeper in history.
It's like not knowing our very own Branko Strupar scored the very first Premiership goal of this Millennium, against Reading, in March 2002.
It's like not knowing The Derby County Ram only ever had one eye, three legs, and a rather impressive penis.
It's like not knowing Margaret Thatcher (God rest her soul) officially opened Prime Park Stadium way 25 years ago this week.
Dear oh dear... sometimes, I despair, I really do!

Sweetness34 got a reaction from Ram-Alf in Ex/Reformed Football Hooligan wanted for Case Study
These stories are mad! I've always thoughht my dad embellished his stories but the 70s really were crazy!

Sweetness34 reacted to Eric the half a ram in Ex/Reformed Football Hooligan wanted for Case Study
I got chased away from a pub in Derby on my first visit to the BB in the 80s, never been before, so I saw a group of Derby fans drinking outside, so asked them for directions to the ground, was met with abuse, threats and a couple of badly aimed pints! Didn't even stop to consider that i was born and raised on the South Coast so have a southern accent and the opponents that day were Charlton! Probably thought I was a cheeky cockney trying to wind them up!! Never run so fast in my life!! 😂👍🏃

Sweetness34 reacted to Rambam in Bradford City at home Match Thread
At the end of the day, that trophy is an irrelevance to us. Also an opportunity to get injured.
Like all the cups, I’ll forsake the chance to play Man United in a one off for the certainty of getting out of this unwarranted EFL punishment division.

Sweetness34 reacted to Brammie Steve in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
We once had a poll which included a Mr Charismatic!
I won this in 2012 and the title has not been contested since!
In recent years Daniel would have won it by a Cornish mile!
His charisma shone through the posts and topics he put on this site.
He will always be loved and respected as he epitome of a true fan!

Sweetness34 got a reaction from Jourdan in Warne Out Out
I'm amazed at how strongly some people cling on to their oppinions.
Is it pride? Because I don't mind admitting I wanted Warne out earlier in the season, peaking after the defeat at Stevenidge and then come December 29th thought he's going to take us up as champions.
Being a football fan is way more fun when you over react in both directions.

Sweetness34 reacted to Donegal Ram in James Collins
Had stuck up for Collins for large periods knowing his previous goal scoring exploits but, gave up on him 2 months ago. The fact that the other strikers were unavailable has played a part because he knew he would be starting. Never questioned his work rate, aggression from the front or overall effort regarding the team but he was missing good chances in tight games. The fact that Derby are creating more and playing better football with more control allows Collins to settle more into games and not snatch at every goal opportunity. He has proved many people wrong and hope he continues to do so. Well done James.

The shocking thing I discovered only a week or so ago is that Rod Stewart’s rendition is actually a cover version and not an original song of his 😀. Every day’s a school day.

Sweetness34 reacted to Ghost of Clough in January- An opportunity to be in the race for the automatics
Good to know that you'd be content with dropping points against Fleetwood, Burton, Lincoln and Cheltenham, but I won't be. We don't have a divine right to beat those sides, but a side competing for automatics definitely should be beating them.

Sweetness34 reacted to VulcanRam in Steve bloomers washing errrrr I mean watching
Keep it. Yes it's a bit twee but not nearly as bad as some other club songs (Everton take a bow). It's the only thing that gets the whole ground clapping and engaged before kick off. Get the timing right (and don't ambush us with a third verse) and it creates a huge "Derby" right around the ground.
@CongletonRam wumming that Bloomer is "some dead footballer who no one really knows" shows two things: his/her idiocy and the importance of keeping the song, something that celebrates not only our leading goalscorer of all time, but one of the greatest footballers of his generation. He remains the most successful Derby County player ever.
No-one wants to live in the past, but we should always treasure our heritage, especially a player like him.
