Well I think we probably deserved that.
I think to an extent what happened was we were so content to go long and play without possesion in the first half we just knackered ourselves out.
Tactically it feels like we got it all wrong today and we just didn't react fast enough in order to change the game. The play just broke down far too often for us especially on our left side which we persisted playing to. We sorely missed the ability to stretch the game in order to keep their back 3/5 a bit more honest.
Morrison was a passenger and needed to be brought off earlier. Don't know why Festy didn't start but his late cameo underlined that he should have been on from the start.
On the bright side Thompson was excellent for the third game in a row.

When is Buchanan back? Forsyth is an absolute fraud of a footballer.
It’s so frustrating the way we concede so many goals of our own making. Unbelievably sloppy passing throughout, defenders ball watching when they have the ball in our third - it’s school boy stuff.
We’ve got one hell of a footballer in Liam Thompson though.

I kind of understand why people are hopping onboard with silver-tongued Kirchner.
I'm personally not sold to him, his enthusiastic approach is so... don't know... American? I've got nothing against him, but engaging a lot at this point makes him look overconfident and bit naïve.
I trust the administrators to pick the best of the bunch, if it's Kirchner then he gets my support.

I believe Andy Hinchcliffe made a similar point in commentary, along the lines of 10000 unqualified people telling the 1 qualified person he was wrong.
The commentator waited a beat, and then added you don't have to be a plumber to spot a leak.

I'm not a very frequent poster but I think I speak for many in my position that this forum is far and away the best place to discuss all things Derby and completely admire and respect the work from David and the moderators in providing this space for us fans.
I hadn't really considered the overheads from hiring servers etc so will happily make a donation when pay day comes around. Anybody that finds fault in you finding funding through advertisement to cover costs, and thinks it might affect your impartiality is quite frankly a moron.

If he can prove it was our financial irregularities that prevented them getting to the playoffs; and if he can prove they would have won the semis; and if he can prove that they would have won the final, then he has a great case - otherwise it's notithing more than supposition and conjecture - be lucky to last 5 minutes in front of a competent judge....

mike93rh reacted to Carnero in Come January where would you strengthen and who would you go for?
If it is -21 and our results don't suddenly take a massive upturn, I'm not sure I would "strengthen" at all other than the odd loan deal, we got massively burned in 2008 trying to strengthen in the January when relegation was already inevitable, better to leave it till the Summer...

I really do not think you can criticise fans for not being more critical of Mel in those times. There were people asking questions at the time of 'Can we afford all of this?' to which Mel and the club repeatedly said yes and that were were within FFP.
All of the fans, regardless of how we felt at the time have been duped by Mel. He took a club on a stable financial footing with an exciting team that had missed out on promotion by the narrowest of margins and turned it in to a financially ruined husk on the brink of being relegated to League One.
None of the fans should have to answer to any of that or feel any sort of guilt for their opinion at the time. Mel deceived us all, the buck stops with him.

The only semi-competent keeper at the club cant get on the bench and will be offloaded at the earliest opportunity.
Roos and Allsop are simply not good enough to be number one's at this level.
