Going to give my pennies worth lol! Ill give him two seasons and see where were at then! Unless we look like we could go down, then id have to pull the trigger or at least look at options! 
 
Managers need time to build a team! Weve been down the chopping and changing route! Just let him do his job and judge his performance over months, not weeks or after every game! I know this is part of football and everyones entitled to there opinion but ffs! 
 
Warne wants to build a team in his vision! Sack him, get someone else they will want time to build! Just let the bloke build us up! Hes proven ish! Who else is there? Trust Clowes and trust warne! There will be ups and downs but i dont fancy anyone else to do any better! 
 
Going down is not an option so unless thats looking likely im happy to let him build for two seasons! If it goes stale end of 24/25 then look at other options but even then i think we'll be in a better position as a team and club from the work hes done!

Have to say though, that as soon as he said family and that included his dog I was on board.
Hopefully someone we can actually have around for a few years. Part of an evolution when/if Smith, Hourihane and so on move on in summer when their deals expire. Probably one of the few long term Warne signings who actually will be part of the team he eventually hopes for. 
Wonder if Fornah was initially lined up for if Bird moved on, hence why its been in the pipeline so long.

I think the difference there, certainly with Rowett anyway, is that at least I could see what he was trying to do.  I might not have liked the way we played, but I could see a path to it being effective.  We largely played to the players strengths, recruited to fit a system etc.  We had the same lack of pace at the back and in midfield as we do this season (with Davies, Huddlestone, Johnson etc), but we sat deep and compact, so it wasn't exposed.  And we set up to let Nugent, Vydra, Lawrence etc break from deep and get running at people, so they all benefitted from the system too.
I don't get any of that with Warne.  Everything seems to be barely more than doing stuff and random and hoping it works.

Elder doesn't look like he's comfortable playing as an attacking  wing back which makes him an odd signing. Even in a flat 4 Warne will want him bombing forward and I've not seen any evidence that's in his game. No surprise Forsyth is in, but surely that wasn't the plan. 
On paper Elder is a solid league one player when fully fit. I can see him being a frequent sub, coming on when we need fresh legs for the last 20 minutes.
He will give squad depth/rotation options, but wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson, and maybe Sibley or Wilson playing there from the off as they bring more offensively.
