The quick strikers at this level, especially the ones who know how to utilise their speed, tend to finish like pissed up toddlers. If they didn’t then they wouldn’t be at this level in all honesty.

He’s tall, direct and quick. Wales fans seem to like him well enough. I genuinely can’t remember him in the slightest, never heard of him before yesterday, but seems to be a player who may have something but hasn’t put it together. Every signing we make is going to have some underwhelming undertones to his career to date - it’s difficult to sign a player in the third division and that not be the case. We just have to give them the opportunity to prove us wrong. 

My thoughts also,if this is our main and only target for a striker were in big trouble,hopefully PW is looking at other options also as you do need 3/4 strikers in a squad

No great detriment that he goes for me. Derby will have probably offered him a 1 year deal and Notts a 2 year deal, and I highly doubt he’d hit 20 next year with another season on his legs. 
 
 The task this window is finding other areas of the pitch to score from. We simply cannot rely on x1 striker all season (especially if the striker is over 35!) 
I would wish him the best if he was to leave. He was a Rolls Royce at times last season, but we have to look at other avenues for goals next year. 
 
 
 

The transfer window hasn’t even opened so it’s a bit early for panic. Let’s judge at the start of the season on what our squad looks like. We have had some of our restrictions lifted, we have one of the largest budgets in the league. Promotion is the expectation and the recruitment team will be working to have a team capable of it. 
 
If Didzy goes of course I’ll be gutted, he was a joy to watch last season, but if he does go - we will replace him!

Whilst I'd be disappointed to see him go. I honestly don't think he would have hit those heights again next season or played as much.
We're a bigger club, in a higher division who would have offered more money. But he just wants to end his career at the club he supports. Can't begrudge him that.

If he reads the game well and has the right players with him then this isn't a problem. Remember Rob Hindmarch? Maybe you don't, lots of people are younger than me these days but I assure you he was a great defender without having any pace at all

Was a season ticket holder with my dad for umpteen years. 
since he passed its a few games a season with my now 8 yo daughter whos only semi bothered atm. 
 
just find it too difficult and quite often make myself go cos its a bitter sweet experience. 
 
i hold millions lf memories of our time together watching derby county. So sometimes i find it nice to go back and re live them a little.. sometimes its not.. but its just something i have to do and know he would want me to do

I'm not getting over excited or underwhelmed with any signing we make or anyone we get linked with.
I don't know enough about anyone we've been linked with so far to pass any judgement on account of the fact that I've barely seen them play.
Positives with this is that he's on a free, young, will improve, potentially good resale value.

I’m pretty relaxed over it all, end of the day, he’s not a player we should be relying on to play week in week out going into next season. We was extremely lucky to get what we got out of him last season, you can’t expect that again out of his legs.
Of course I would love him to stay, play a role, however I wouldn’t be devastated if he chose to end his career at the club he supports and where it all started, that’s something which money can’t buy. 
In the same position, I’d probably join Notts County if I was him.

So if you were a pro footballer coming to the end of a good career, out of contract, who just scored 20 goals for say West brom. The fans voted you player of the year and you enjoyed the season and played well and all your fellow pros loved you....... then Derby in the division delow came in for you with a 2 year deal, possibly the last chance to play for the club you love you would dismiss it immediately and not even listen to the offer Derby put forward?
