Your dream is safe, The planet will be destroyed once the Sun explodes in about 4 billion years time, But, If your dream has a caveat where all life wont be destroyed in your lifetime then...dream on 😁

I have a dream we won't destroy our planet in my lifetime.
At least your dream is achievable.

A little bit of benchmarking to his earlier promotion seasons with Rovrum.
After 16 games, we currently have 27 points and sit 7th on the table, 9 points from the top.
2017 they had 25 points, 7th, 12 points from the top.
2019 25 points, 6th, 6 points from the top, who had a game in hand.
2021 31 points, 3rd, 3 points from the top.
At the end of the season:
2018 4th with 79 points, 19 points from the top.
2020 2nd with 62 points in 35 games, 5 points from the top who ended the season with a game less.
2022 2nd with 90 points, 2 points from the top.
We could do with a couple of extra points, but it's not looking too bad either.

Such a mystery!!!
My money is on Mason Mount, surely Michael McIndoe's boots would've been found already?

Dimmu reacted to angieram in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
I have some very sad news this evening. Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

Dimmu reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Josh Vickers
Very sad news for Josh and his family, the support from his colleagues will be needed at a difficult time like this, sometimes there’s more to life than football. 😔
Perhaps something could be arranged by fans to show support at the home game? Applause at the 31st min or something?

Dimmu reacted to Rample in Tyrese Fornah - signed on a 2-year deal
Don't suppose we're getting Tyrese Campell from Stoke too?
Definitely looks like an attempt to stockpile all the Tyre(e)s/ces we can, then control the market and drive the prices up.
Also I desperately want to hear "Tyreece's set pieces" in commentary.

Dimmu reacted to Rampant in Derby vs Fleetwood - Match Thread
I may as well have a shot at starting a match thread as at this rate we'll all be having multiple attempts.
Date: Saturday 19th August 1500h
Venue: Pride Park
Visitors: Fleetwood Town
Visitors Form: Not great but they'll hardly be overawed given our own. So far the Shrimpers have one point from their three league fixtures courtesy of a 1-1 opening day draw at Carlisle. Defeats at home to Cambridge (0-2) and away at Bolton (1-3) leaves them two points behind us Rams. As with ourselves, they also didn't fancy a League Cup run as they exited with a 2-3 defeat at Port Vale.
Last Season: Derby failed to score against Fleetwood in either game in 2022/23. A goalless draw in a game ruined by the wind in Lancashire was still miles better than the horror show in the return fixture at Pride Park where Derby produced about their worst performance of the season in losing 0-2.
Notable Staff: Their owner is in jail, their manager is former Celtic man Scott Brown and they of course have ex-Ram Jack Marriott up front.
Hopes: For a return to a back four and, fitness permitting, the following starting line up. A bit of decent football on the deck would be welcome too.
Wildsmith
Wilson Nelson Cashin Forsyth
Thompson Bird
NML Hourihane Washington
Waghorn
Will you be attending OP?: Yes, accompanied by one son and two Everton-supporting nephews.

Dimmu reacted to BaaLocks in Ocean Temperature (strictly apolitical)
This topic is such a hard one for any human could contemplate - record temperatures in one half of a year sounds catastrophic but looked at across weather patterns that ebb and flow over centuries, indeed millenia, it just isn't possible for any one human to truly appreciate if the impact is transitory or permanent. Alongside that, it's next to impossible to understand how any one person can impact that change and the one thing that is certain (and was demonstrated clearly in Covid) is that we lack the ability as a species to act on anything other than personal benefit in mind (even if that is just the endorphin rush of philanthropy).
All of that said, my personal (flawed) conclusions are:
- Stay on our current path and we are all but doomed as a species. The planet will survive and has overcome challenges far greater than anything we can throw at it but, still, we've all but signed our death warrant.
- We won't get anywhere by asking people to abstain, whether that be on the number of holidays, turning your heating down or buying one less television. Look at the obesity crisis, smoking, etc to see we just can't do it even when the impact is heavy and personal.
- The only chance we have to reverse what does seem (comments above onboard) is to invent our way out of it. Carbon capture, renewable / alternate energies. Our capitalism led planet cannot, and will not, solve the problem by taking things away.
- But even then, we have so many issues that need addressing. Biodiversity impact driven by population growth, plastics, resource depletion, inability to act quick enough - it's just a bit too much to handle it all in the time that is needed
Conclusion is very depressing but it's happening around us, in one way or another, now. And my view is we are already beyond the point of no return (at least to not have significant impact).
But, to end on a positive, I like the new away kit.
