This is all to do with the last day shoot in 2019 between us, them and Bristol City .  If we finished 7th or 8th that year neither would give a poo . Nothing to do with fair play for all teams, which can't possibly exist anyway. Somehow it's our fault Boro couldn't beat relegated Rotherham to get into 6th place.  He can't possibly sue because 1- it may have been there own team selection that stopped them winning 2- there was no guarantee they would have got promoted or even get to Wembley 3- The thing he moaned about has been binned off 4- One EFL club can't sue another and he's been told this 4- We're in admin so he'll get bugger all and as the administrator is getting paid, they would have a contesting legal team. 5- He's a **** *** with a Wycombe half and half scarf and a love child called popodoupoulos

I'm another one that loved the fact a rich fan took over and has tried to bring success, the academy on the face of it was the right thing to invest in, raising the profile of the club with the gamble on Lamps was something I applauded, giving a young English ex player a chance (I'd still love Jody Morris to be involved again down the line) and it nearly worked, it wasn't Mel that screwed up the team selection for the final!
    But
Talking of his health, take a moment for the health of some of the 25k+ fans, not everyone is resilient and can shrug their shoulders at the situation,  some (maybe only a few hundred) rely on the Rams for socialising, camaraderie and a purpose, you can already see some people struggling with the uncertainty,  @B4ev6isis a perfect example of people that live and breath the club, take a moment and think about their wellbeing,  because a certain MM hasn't. Let alone those that have been in furlough from the club for best part of 17 months and are likely to now be out of work!
Even if he has a grand plan (I'm still clutching at straws) to somehow allow DCFC to carry on by using the administration route, the way he has run the club in the last 2 years is appalling, and if he ends up sitting in his Palace with PP and the Academy buildings still in his name, and no club.... I don't know how he can sleep at night.

I'm finding it hard to believe that the club's payroll is "still" £30m p.a, given that the most expensive element, the first team squad has 23 players, and half of those are on £4,500 per week or less.
The Athletic are usually pretty reliable, but that figure doesn't support the club's claim of "a viable business model" emerging.
If it's true, I'd love to know how it's made up, but it's going to be carnage when an Administrator is appointed.

Germany has a good idea with fans owning a big stake in all clubs, but that’s league wide.
waiting 28 days is just wasting time for a new buyer to step in.

I just don't at all believe he'd say he's seen it on sky if that wasn't the case. Why would he. Doesn't make any sense to do that. I also don't see him trying to make a play out of for whatever reason.
My guesses are - there was an email or message at 7.43 (which he didn't see until after he'd seen it on sky) or he got told to say 7 43 by ramsTV (for some reason). I'd go with the email he didn't read until after.
Still think it's pretty shitty to have not been told in person or at least over the phone.

Rich84 reacted to Red Ram in Mel Morris interview on Radio Derby 1pm
What struck me was how Mel said he didn't regret taking over the club because he'd 'rather have tried and failed' than not tried at all.  So that's alright then - he's managed to tick an item off on his bucket list even though it hasn't worked out the way he hoped it would.
It seemed an incredibly egocentric response to the question in the circumstances. All about the how it affected Mel Morris and no reference to the impact on the club's employees who would still have a job if Mel hadn't gambled with the future of the club by tripling the wage bill.  He just doesn't seem to have fully grasped the fact that he's put the very existence of the club itself at risk, trying to pretend that administration as being "in the best interests of the club etc.
Put that together with the fact that he didn't even bother to let Rooney and the players know what was about to happen and a pretty clear picture of his character starts to emerge.

Three classic comments from the interview:
    1) My putting the Club into Adminstration gives it a better chance of finding a Purchaser it desperately needs. Mmmh. Really not sure it does Mel. Let’s be honest it is much more the case that you are simply not prepared to put any more money into the club, notwithstanding you are still comfortably in the top 500 richest people in the UK.
    2) No one can continue to put money into the club (£3m pm, down to £1.5m pm more recently) in perpetuity. Mmmh. I wonder who created the income/expenditure imbalance and indebtedness? Any ideas Mel?
    3) I’ve been prepared to sell the club for £15m less than I bought it for. Mmmh. Did the club have a Stadium and a decent team when you bought it Mel?
I have had little time for this guy since around 2016, and today he confirmed all my worst fears.

Please can we just stop speculation about the size of the penalty, it is getting very boring and for those that jump to conclusions based on tweets, Facebook and Red-top rags can you just take a step back and have a long hard look at yourselves, even if eventually we end up with 9 or 12 points, stressing about it in advance doesn't do you any good, commenting about it as fact when the EFL haven't made a press release makes you look foolish at best.
The reality is, if it was a clear breach we wouldn't be in discussion,  it's disappointing that it is dragging on and restrictions are in place, but let's be honest,  what we've seen on the pitch has been ok, the attitude is good, the management are showing signs of improvement and the players are clearly on board with them and generally the quality has been better.

If the EFL had a cast iron, watertight case they would slap us with a points deduction immediately and dare us to appeal it. They haven't done that, which could indicate that they aren't entirely sure.
On the other hand, if we were totally bang to rights and had a 0% chance of winning an appeal we would take whatever was on offer and just get this over with.
