Any mention of Asanovic gets a like from me. He was an awesome player for us, the opposition constantly fouling him, as they couldn't get the ball off of him, his delicious free kicks, his authoritative penalties, his God given genius. What a guy.
What a player. It was short lived, but Asanovic is one of the greatest to wear a Ram on his shirt. Brilliant player.
Some other crackers : Saunders volley vs Man City from Shilton’s GK.
Paul Blades top corner vs Cov?? Memory fade.
Phil Gee vs ArsenalCarsley v Southampton

I’m not concerned with the Boro or Wycombe lawsuits at all, they haven’t got a chance of being successful. It’s a ballache as it’s delaying the sale. HMRC is the biggie.
Hope Wycombe stay down. All being well we’ll smash them next season.

Keith was a fantastic Chief Executive for Derby from the mid 90s. Revitalised the atmosphere. RIP.

What or who is CVA ?
Company Voluntary Agreement. Needed after admin apparently. Without one could mean further deductions in League 1. Or defer payments from CVA could mean further deductions. It’s going to be very expensive for new owners post admin.
I have no idea what I’m going on about by the way. Just posting update from the article! -
Paul Cook sacked by Ipswich.
Johnson getting grief and in altercations with fans at Sunderland.
Next year is going to be very tough. We will not be in a healthy situation when we go down. It’s going to be very hard to bounce back. First things first is to ensure we’re in League 1.
-
Another pessimistic article in The Athletic about our future.
To summarise:
Potential for more deductions next year if CVA not agree when leaving admin. Not a straightforward process and potentially very costly for new owners.
Morris has screwed process up massively by keeping hold of the stadium. Made admin a nightmare.
HMRC unlikely to accept 25/35p in £. A very tough negotiation. They’ll drive for full payment.
No chance of sale by Jan. Fire sale likely.
This is from an administrator who worked with Wigan. Granted they have no inside info, but they do understand the process. Ours is such a complex admin made worse by HMRC not being a preferred creditor and us not owning the ground. They were critical of our administrators so it could be a case of slating a rival, but more worrying news for me. There has definitely been a rise in these stories the last week. Time for another beer methinks!

Let’s take a deep breath!
If this story has more truth than clickbait in it then there is an easy solution that I’m sure isn’t mentioned (I don’t click on scummy press links).
Get to January and reluctantly sell our assets of Lawrence ( not much because of his contract), Bird,Knight etc
Clubs will be queuing up to pick the meat off the bones but we should be able to find maybe £15m? Derby won’t be sunk over £5m surely?!
We’re going down so the only priority now is taking to a League One pitch next season.
I don’t think a fire sale will raise too much. We took advantage of it with Wigan. Lawrence worth next to nothing. Only saleable assets at the minute are Bird and Knight. We owe money on Jozwiak and Bielik. Reckon we’d raise about 5 million. Still 15m short.

I really like McCoist. He’s great on the TS breakfast show as well. He just seems like a really naturally witty nice man. As apposed to most other pundits on their who seem to be thick as two short planks and a little bit nasty. Hmm, I think I may have a man crush.
I agree, McCoist has the perfect balance of humour and knowledge. Although, I think I was too quick in my praise of Amazon. Thierry Henry is bloody awful, just waffle without saying owt. McManaman also decent.
-
I know it’s the Daily Mail and has to be taken with a pinch of salt, but there have been a few murmurs over the last few days about the HMRC debt. No smoke without fire. Worrying times. A big week ahead.
-
The Amazon Prime coverage over the last couple of days has been excellent. McCoist is a great pundit. Shearer was also very good yesterday as a match day pundit.

I agree with everyone saying Morrison was poor. It would have been nice to see Sibley central, roaming on the half turn as that’s where he’s best. It’s a shame he’s been off it the last 12 months or so. Hopefully he builds his confidence up more in the 23s.
Thompson good again. He picks up so many second balls. I do think he can be more adventurous with his passing on occasions, I think he has it in him.
Cant fault the effort and desire, but we lacked quality. Bird had his first bad game, and we got pulled apart on occasions by a good QPR side. It happens and will happen with such a small squad.

CK’s a jinx. 1 point from the 3 home games he’s attended. Yanks Out!!

Delap has had ONE senior appearance for Man City since leaving us nearly 2.5 years ago, instead of the, perhaps, 60-70 games he might have played if he'd stayed at DCFC.
You have to wonder which would have been better for his development.
Being coached every day by one of the best coaches in a generation, as well as training with Foden, De Bruyne etc won’t do his development any harm though!
I think if it wasn’t for injury he’d have been loaned out this year. Games are valuable but his game will have improved massively by training with the best in the world. -

Really? Think he could have stayed there as youth coach and still got the job.
Would be hard to replace Klopp, the guy is a legend up there now, I don't see anyone out there that could come close to replacing him.
Replace him with another legend and you have the fans on board at least.
Think it's the most nailed on appointment in football right now
Not a chance that Liverpool would have appointed Gerrard if he was there youth team manager. Too much money at stake if he failed to make top 4.
Villa is the natural step for Gerrard. Big club, big expectation. If he gets them in the top 6, maybe win a cup the Liverpool job is his in a few years time. If he messes up he’ll be competing with Lampard for the next West Brom/Fulham job.

I've got no problem with people having a rant, but typing it down seems a bit tame to me.
I agree. I’m not on Twitter. But it’s the way of the world. People are frustrated and need to rant somewhere and get their frustrations out. Similar to on here at times.

Won’t agree with you re Maxwell or the Amigos. One robbed a pension fund and the others were crooks. Mel hasn’t been great but let’s be real
He’s the worst chairman in our history. Maxwell and the amigos were terrible humans. But, as chairman Morris is far worse. Morris has done more damage to this club than those 2 combined.

He deserves slagging off at every opportunity.
He deserves much worse.
Agreed. People need to vent, let them.
Morris has got off incredibly lightly. Maxwell and the Amigo’s got pelters, yet Morris has been a million miles worse than them. Can’t stand the bloke. Ruined this club. Deserves all the criticism. It’s a shame we can’t do it to his face at the ground.

Can’t agree. Whatever the merits, however bad a chairman you might think he was. It has to be done in private not public.
In this situation, Morris behaviour was so deplorable - he deserved it. Fair play to Rooney for calling him out.

His decision to throw MM under the bus certainly rankled with me. But there’s a lot of nastiness in football and the culture of the game stinks, so maybe you sadly have to add a pinch of salt.
Throw Morris under the bus??
Behave! Morris treated Rooney terribly. Non existent communication, without a care in the world for what admin meant to people. I don’t think Rooney did throw him under the bus, but Morris definitely doesn’t deserve any sympathy. Terrible chairman. Rooney handled that situation brilliantly.
-
Rangers fans could not be anymore critical of these two. Sound horrendous. Pretty much the worst type of owner you could wish for. Not good reading. Can’t wait for them to be announced!

I don’t think it’s fair to say Lampard’s signings were a failure. The likes of Marriott, Waghorn, Holmes and Malone all had decent seasons under Lampard. They were poor after he left. You sign players to suit your system and style. The problem was not getting a manger in with a similar philosophy after Lampard. That was Morris main mistake. Every time we lost a manager we appointed someone with a completely different style meaning the existing players didn’t fit in that style, causing us to spend spend spend again.
