    Fresh start, total reset.

No more Frank Lampards DCFC and Wayne Rooneys DCFC.

Time to get under the radar

Under the radar could mean mid table League 1 and becoming a stale lower league club though.

    Too late. Hopefully.

In a different league to Kirchner, Sheikhs, Alonso. Also has the wealth that Appleby potentially doesn’t. Rumours have been going since the start that Appleby struggled to raise funds with investors pulling out. I’d take either. But I’d be more than happy if it was Ashley.

I think you're confusing setting out a plan of how we're funding the season, with having all funds for the season ready in a bank account before the season even starts!

Name me a single club that has it's annual income sat in the bank account ready to go before the season starts?!

With regards transfers though - we can’t estimate what we’d get if we sold those players. I imagine it’d have to be there in the account? I have no idea, obviously. But we wouldn’t get 10 million for those in our current plight. I genuinely fear the EFL could pull the plug. I’m not sure we have enough assets to flog to see us through. We scraped by last year. Another year could be a step too far.

  4. We’ve got SKY with movies/sports/multi room - the works. Plus Netflix, Disney, Amazon. I’m trying to persuade the Mrs into cancelling SKY as we’re paying north of £140 for all this. Ridiculous. What’s the best alternative? NOW TV was suggested but what are the thoughts in here??

Of course we can, even in the worst case scenario the administrators would set out a plan that included selling the few remaining playing assets in Bielik, Bird, Knight, Sibley, Byrne(?), Buchanan (?). Even at knock down prices that would be a good £10m. We'd then have to set a tight budget and run the club at break even or small profit by filling the squad with cheap freebies and loanees.

We also would have broadcasting, sponsorship and matchday income to take into account.

Whilst I don't think we're going to be in this scenario, it's not correct to say that we couldn't show a plan of how we can fund the season.

I think it would be very tight.  Also, wouldn’t those players all need to be sold within the next 2 weeks? There would be no guarantee on fee. We’d have to show evidence of funds in account. We’d then need players to actually compete - around 20 players. We also owe on Bielik so would lose money on that deal. It’s panic stations to get this done.

Of course but the only way we won’t be able to show funds is if we are liquidated. Which is down to the admins and nothing to do with the EFL as I stated in the complete post you have referenced here.

The EFL are a side show in this not a player.

Without a takeover I’m not sure we’ll be able to show funds. They can remove the ticket before liquidation, hence the urgency to complete the takeover. No one will take us over if we’ve been kicked out the league, so the EFL do hold some pretty big cards here

I think the fixtures being out is no deadline. It’s the admins who liquidate a club not the EFL.

If we can’t show proof of funds for the season then the EFL will remove our ‘golden ticket’. That’ll be basically be us done. I don’t see how we can prove funds for a whole season at this moment in time without a takeover.

    - why does it matter if CK cannot get further funds into the club after buying it? The club MUST become self sufficient

    - who expects Derby County (under any owner) to be allowed to go on a spending spree? Wake up ffs! We won’t be allowed to!

    - anyone stressing needs to log off until at least Monday night! There’s no way Quantuma work weekends!

    - those of you reacting so childishly to CK’s banking woes are probably giving him good reason to back out of the deal. Well done idiots! You’re helping kill the club!

The club does need to become self sufficient. However many clubs still aren’t. If we did run at a slight loss would CK have the funds to fund that. Who knows? Judging by recent events, I have my doubts.

Not sure about that, he's not out of the race yet, there's just other runners being allowed to join the race too.

As should have happened after the initial preferred bidder time period had expired. To grant one person exclusivity for so long has been crazy. Now we’re in a race against time.

Devil in the details though you'd suspect - if Ashley says I'll take the same agreement that was made with Kirchner and my money is hear then, yes, it's who gets the dosh on Quantuma's desk first.

If Ashley wants to change anything about the contracts, then that's a whole round of everyone agreeing everything again (even if the total money is the same but he want's different contract clauses etc).

Yeah, absolutely. I dare say Ashley will try to get summat on the cheap if he can. No doubt it won’t be as simple as I made out and will take forever again.

On a positive, at least we maybe coming towards the conclusion. No bank holidays upcoming either. The golden share must be at stake soon?

I’m not sure I trust CK. If he’s having difficulty now, how is he going to fund us long term?

I think we need to wait until after the weekend to see the next stage in this process as CK has intimated.

He really doesn’t deserve the Twitter abuse .

Forest and Leeds fans on Twitter celebrating at our expense   is to be expected.

Not nice but hey ho that’s Twitter

I’d hardly call it abuse. People are fed up with missed ‘deadlines’ again and again. There is a mistrust after Morris, Alonso, Fake Sheikh. This is a problem with Twitter. You have to take the rough with the smooth. He’s very naive if he thinks he won’t get the odd negative. The majority of comments are very positive in there. Twitter is not an ego massaging platform. He has to accept some critique after he said it’d be done.

    Why does he?

Perhaps we should all just read what he said and accept it.

If you put yourself out there on social media you have to accept some negative comments to go with the 100’s of positives. The disappointment of no announcement yesterday was obviously going to lead people to ask questions. The comment wasn’t particularly bad, but his reaction is a little petty. As others have said, he can’t have it all one way on Twitter. Many are being positive, but the slightest negative should not lead to throwing the toys out the pram. As I said he needs to have a thick skin. I’m starting to think CK’s ego is going to rival MM’s! I hope it gets done ASAP with CK, but the ‘believe we have it resolved’ causes me some concern.
