Said it before and I will say it again, there is nothing stopping the administrators naming the preferred bidder. These minutes seem to confirm that they don't have one.

It may be that they have to remove the clause for a £5m non refundable deposit first.

Correct. But the bidders are biding their time to see what the result of the Boro/Wycombe claims are. Understandably they don’t want to commit as they may have to pay millions more if these stupid claims become football creditors. I’m yet to be convinced we’ve had any bids apart from the Binnies.

With blatant hints that it's Appleby backed by American money.

If you're not ITK but just want a guess then use the "While we wait" thread.

Or is it a gamble so that ultimately, if you're right, you can plead "Told you so"?

Just ignore him. He hasn’t got a clue. None of us have. Nixon and Percy have their sources. No one on this forum knows anything regarding this takeover.

The only thing we as supporters can do is everything we've done since we were placed into administration. Keep supporting.

We've come closer together as a group of supporters. We've been the 12th man at every home and away game. This Sunday shows what loyal supporters we have by the amount of tickets sold and the march to the ground.

We're doing our bit and I'm pretty confident the Admins are doing there's too.

That's all we can do and keep doing it going until the end of the season. Yes we'd like to sign players but IF we don't lose anybody major between now and the end of the transfer window, I believe (and so do all staff at DCFC) we can stay up - and that would be an even greater achievement than winning the Premier League. Just imagine the day that happens and the party we'd all have.

Just stay positive guys and gals and make sure you've got your scarves and flags raised high at Sundays game - we need these 3 points more than anything and that could take us to within 5 point off safety.

May also help if people stop pretending to be ITK.

If you’re looking at cost cutting, the first place to go will likely be the academy. Don’t think Newcastle funded theirs particularly well, but I could be wrong

You’re right, this is a worry. But, our academy is successful. Newcastle’s is terrible and was before Ashley arrived. For a club Newcastle’s size, they never produce. Ashley isn’t stupid, our academy could make him more money. I’m sure on that basis, he’d be happy to fund it still.

  5. Allsop 7.5 Great save in first half

Byrne 7.5 Great positions, good footballer. Crosses - mixed.

Forsyth 7.5 Played really well first half, bossed it down the left.

    Jagielka 7.5 solid

    Davies 10 Hero, Legend, Icon!

Thompson 7.5 Kept us ticking over - we dominated midfield.

Bird 8 - Lovely balls threaded through.

    Knight 7.5 Hardworking as ever

    Jozwiak 7.5 Looked lively

Lawrence 7 Good movement, got involved

Plange 6 Needs a better touch. Put himself about

    SUBS:
Kazim - 8 Got the important first

Ebosele - 7 Got involved - awful touch at times though

Ravel - 7.5 As Lawrence, threaded some lovely balls through

A very dominant performance. Would have been a travesty to come away with 0 points.

I've thought all along that Mel was still capable of caving this whole deal in.  If he does its shows he was never really a Derby fan an this was nothing more than a vanity project.....

I’d say it’s clear he wasn’t a proper Derby fan all along. What Derby fan would do what he did? A fraud.

He tried to speak a good game, but he’s similar to David Brent reeling off facts about Tchaikovsky in The Office. It was all for show.

  7. If CK’s bid was too low to accept for the admin team, plus another bidder increasing their offer, what grounds did the admin team have to think they could have announced preferred bidder status by Christmas? It seems they haven’t accepted an offer yet that meets the demands so why announce make a deadline that couldn’t be met.
Fair play for them on clarifying reasons why CK wasn’t accepted though.

  8. CK was definitely a credible bidder, the admin team were blowing smoke up his arse when he first entered the race, he knew his onions!

We need some answers about what is going to happen. It’s very worrying. We need the local journalists to step up. If BWAT can speak to Appleby, why can’t local journalists dig a little deeper to find more details? I find it amazing that all they have done is a pathetic interview with Morris that basically let him off the hook. Very poor from them. Graham Richards hounded Maxwell in the early 90s. Nowt is happening now. Odd. Granted it may not help too much, but at least we may have a little more info to go on.

As others have said, I presume the admin team are comfortable with the other 2 offers otherwise they wouldn’t let CK walk away. I just have a lack of trust for anyone in charge these days after Morris web of lies.

Anyone else wonder if the reason that the Administrators have not announced a preferred bidder, and CK has today called Morris a proper duck job, is that Morris is now seeking some better out turn for fully releasing ‘his’ stadium asset?

Does Morris even own the stadium still?? God knows. If Morris is still pulling some strings then we’re buggered.

Seriously I'm at the point where I don't want him. He doesn't even own the club yet and he's already going unhinged.

If its a choice between this baalocks and liquidation I'll start knitting the Derby City FC scarves right away

I mean, I agree in some ways that CK could go either way. But I’d still rather have a club. That statements almost as bad as the ‘ League 1 will be great to reset the club, oh and I’ll tick off some new grounds’ statement. Although I am looking forward to Lincoln away!

  11. Ah well that lasted long. We praised the administrators for their open communication at the start of the process, but now it seems their just like Morris - full of bull. WHY make a statement that a deadline would be met before Christmas and not meet it. They only made that statement about a week ago. Shocking. Just shut up rather than make false statements that can’t be stuck to. More false hope.

CK is unorthodox in his communication. I don’t quite get the stick he’s getting for being honest though. I’m glad he’s called Morris out for what he is. We’ll be lucky to survive that disgrace of a chairman’s acts. We’ve all been here before so it shouldn’t shock us, but it would be nice to have some positive ( not fake) news to hang onto. I think we deserve it. The news doesn’t sound great and if CK pulls out then the day just gets bleaker.

The signings made by Lampard (other than Shinnie) have been a success have they?? Really??? I don’t think so, we lost a lot of money on his signings so I stand by my assessment.

    Hypocritical??? Really??

Mel Morris etc etc I agree but Lampard signed players on a permanent basis that added nothing but loses to our club, which puts us further in the ?

I don’t think it’s fair to say Lampard’s signings were a failure. The likes of Marriott, Waghorn, Holmes and Malone all had decent seasons under Lampard. They were poor after he left. You sign players to suit your system and style. The problem was not getting a manger in with a similar philosophy after Lampard. That was Morris main mistake. Every time we lost a manager we appointed someone with a completely different style meaning the existing players didn’t fit in that style,  causing us to spend spend spend again.
