I'm certain he'll start, but most likely on the wing. It's hard to see Warne breaking up the Fornah, Smith, Bird midfield at the moment.

Good point. I expect Warne will start with Barkhuizen and Sibley on the wings. Mendez-Laing probably won't even be in the squad, with Ward taking the spare spot on the bench. Something like this:

I am of the opinion that NML won't start the game. He had looked tired of late. Their game on Wednesday is a 3 o'clock kick off in Panama. That's 22:00 UK time. Game finishes around midnight. 
Had a quick look on Skyscanner and it looks like there are no direct flights. Flying early morning Thursday would see him in London some time between 21:00 Thursday and 04:00 Thursday. Then back up to Derby. Jetlag will put him out of a starting place IMO.

Surely it's just that Nyambe and (possibly to a lesser extent) Fornah were holding out for championship clubs and therefore were only available once that no longer looked possible.

This is my major issue,  this idea we are going to play teams off the park every week.
We bought a manager who has played a certain brand of football and got out of this League 3 times.  Surprise surprise, he seems to favour that brand of football again and today it worked. We got a goal, sat in and hit them on the break. Not luck, it was how he planned it.
It was nowhere near as ugly as its being portrayed.  It was functional and the game was pretty scrappy in general but for League 1, it was what I'd expect. Carlisle created very little 2nd half.
Hopefully with players coming back, confidence improving and understanding getting better, then the passing will click more and we will look a bit less scruffy. Add in a pacey striker and you can see how it could work.
He isn't going anywhere whilst we are in and around the play offs regardless.
I just find the unrelenting criticism tiresome but mostly because again today we were 'ok'...not the worst Derby team in living memory.

I believe his family home is in Lancashire - Forest of Bowland I recall - so that may be a factor too. At this stage of his career, a 30 minutes drive to training is far more appealing than a two hours one.

I have to profess I find it amusingly ironic that you find yourself depressed by the start of the season when yourself and a few notable other forum members post nothing but a stream of negative bile about the state of the club.
Have you ever considered that it's in fact your mind set that is depressing yourself? 
Cue you being encouraged to then regurgitate the reasons for your total dissatisfaction. I blame myself.
