Things getting bad will help force change, and people will start to protest. Like the resistance to Poll Tax in the early 1990s, if enough of us get angry then change will have to happen. I've seen the new grass roots movement to get a million people to cancel their energy Direct Debits in October if the price cap hasn't been lowered.
    https://dontpay.uk/
A simple "people power" idea that would really hurt the energy companies and force change. The internet is our friend - we can organise like never before
Energy, water and transport should all be nationalised industries. It's a long-standing travesty that they were ever gifted to private interests. Now our taxes still fund them, but the profits go to private companies, not reinvested back into the facilities.
These are incredibly popular policies with the electorate - but trough-feeding politicians don't seem to want to go there for some reason. I wonder why - cough...lobbyists...cough

Can't understand why people are getting so hot under the collar about the queues in Dover. I'm sure Priti Patel stated a while ago that she had plans to stop people crossings the channel.

It's not just the police that runs a two tier system. The entire judicial system along with education and health systems as always been balanced in favour of the rich.
What access most of the nation has had to these systems is slowly being eroded. The cut backs to legal aid, the slow privatisation and under funding of the NHS and the under funding of schools that in many cases are being taken out of the hands of local government authorities, into the hands of, for profit, privately run academies.
We are seeing the running these institutions, being taken away from local and national government and put into the hands of private companies. And we've seen how the privatisation of gas, electricity, water and the rail network have gone. Large profits for the private sector while seeing continually rising costs and reduced customer care to us the consumers.
So the police not coming round to investigate a crime will be the least of our worries. If things carry on the way they are heading. Many of us won't have anything worth stealing.

The Spanish national football teams play the same way, be it the male or female team. They both play some nice football but are cynical  and cheats when the decisions don't go their way.

Keeping Pearce at the club may be the correct thing for David Clowes to do. I assume DC would have questioned him over his personal input into how the club was run under it's previous owner.
Did Pearce see Morris was taking the path that ultimately lead to us going into administration but was powerless to stop him and did his best to keep the club on an even keel.
Or was he the initiator of some of the methods that Morris used, that nearly ended with the club ceasing to exist

Well along with the City of Culture this is another final we have lost.
Lets hope it's third time lucky and we are selected as the home for Great British Railways HQ.

Happened to me just the once. After my annual review and subsequent low pay rise offered. I put to my MD what I thought was good case as to why I should receive a bigger rise. His reply was as much as I warranted a bigger raise, due to the  company's current situation the rise offered was all the company could financially justify.
At the time I was already looking for a new job. More due to wanting less travelling and a better working environment. It was only a month later that I got a new job and I handed  my month notice to the MD. Where upon he immediately offered to increase my salary.
When I asked how with no change of the company financial situation, he could now offer me more money than he could a month ago. He replied with a smile that's business.
I turned down his offer and moved to my new job, where I spent 13 happy years.

I do hope the club offer Fozzy a new contract. Even if, as been speculated, we play with 3 centre backs. I think he could still do a good job for us as a wing back.
Unless the club have a decent loan player lined up for that position, I don't think there's anyone that is available on a free that is better than Fozzy.

I hope it's not just Rosenior that gets plenty of slack. I hope we give the team the same slack and support we gave them last year.
If the early results don't go the way some would like or are expecting . We still need to give them our full backing, even more than we did last season.
We need to remember that but for the commitment of our new owner, our club and it's proud name could have been consigned to the pages of history.
We need to reciprocate that commitment, financially if possible by buying a season ticket and giving our full support at every game irrelevant of the result.
