Cruising the South Pacific into the Coral Sea, somewhere over there is Noumea New Caledonia.

The problem started this season with the rule change for added time being shown to supporters. The old scoreboard clock can only show 2 digits for minutes, not 3 digits. So if 10 or more minutes are added on, which happened with keen referees sticking to new rules, then it goes over the amount the board can display. On a newer screen, they'd just make the text smaller, on this one they cannot.

Stewarding in the SS yesterday was a complete and utter clusterf*ck.

No problems with the rails but for some reason the stewards kept wanting to see your season ticket. There was queues building at 2.55 with being stopped at the entrance to the stairwell to show your ticket then again at the top of the steps to gain access to your seat. The second set of stewards got the rough end of it with people just refusing to fish it out again 30 seconds after putting it away.
None of us could come up with a good enough reason why you would have to show your ticket twice to reach your seat. They tried it again at half time but most just totally ignored them this time.

When I got to my seat/standing area before kick off I sat down and promptly smacked the back of my head on the rail of the seat behind me. Will only take me a couple of seasons to learn not to do that again.

Best show on the box throughout the 80s and 90s. I was a regular and avid viewer. 
Barker/Parrot/McCoist being the last trio I recall watching regularly, and it was already on the slide by then.
Any snippet I have inadvertently caught since then did nothing to tempt me back.

The substitution hasn’t been completed just because it has been announced so in your hypothetical situation the player would get a second yellow and the substitute wouldn’t be able to come on or would have to come on for a different player. This actually happened to former Derby player Kwame Thomas who got a second yellow for leaving the pitch too slowly while playing for Notts county.

I was quite chuffed with this one from my seat in the easy stand,it was quite foreboding but did slightly distract me from the game which wasn't a bad thing.

I wish people would stop posting these portentous sunset pictures. It just begs the unsettling, metaphorical question : what is the sun setting on ? It’s surely too majestic simply to mark the end of a winning run. Not setting on Max Bird’s career as a Ram I hope - tho he doesn’t look especially happy in a  Derby shirt these days. Maybe it’s setting on a period of mediocre, inconsistent form and the new dawn will herald in JJ as our talismanic striker and young Tommo as a bedlington terrier-like ratter in midfield, and together they will spearhead an assault on the automatics and beyond. Or perhaps it signals the demise of the testicled referee?  It’s all very unsettling 

A few comments before I go back in time to 2pm, for a catch up of this thread...
I've never seen so many gaps in the upper tier of the south stand at 15:01 on a Saturday league game.  Voting with their feet against safe standing?  Just a general malaise due to the oppo?  (I heard 25k+ attendance later?  That's hardly record low!)
That ref was nowhere near as bad as the crowd made out.  A lot of that 5h1t was of our own doing.
After 20 mins, I bet my house on at least one red card for us before the end.  Shows what I know.

It was a clear penalty.  Lost points were due to a lack of killer instinct and footballing nous.  Nobody to blame but ourselves.
I may have a new screensaver for my office monitor...

It’s never easy, Claire, but it does help (immensely) to enjoy the memories.
Rule No1 in my book is never feel guilty about smiling… or laughing… about our lost loved ones. 
Yes, that in itself may sometimes lead to tears and literal heartache, but occasionally to more smiles, and more laughter. It feels bad. It feels wrong. But in reality, it’s healthy. It’s normal. 
The next few days in particular will no doubt feel like a roller coaster… physically and mentally.  
None of us can stop the ride, but we can hold your hand and help you through it. 
 
Stay strong for your parents, for Daniel, and most importantly for yourself. 
We’re all here for you.

...Have to say, their peno taker coped very well under pressure, what with our North Stand Massive doing their utmost to put him off from behind the net.  Reminded me very much of Wilson at Elland Rd. 
(Obviously Leeds would have twirled more scarves.)  👀😉

Just a note to say I hope all goes as well as you would want tomorrow.
