This is Cardiff remember.
They're more likely to be playing snowball! 👀 🥶 ☃️ -
If we can't sign him up for any reason, I hope TF we can at least book him as DJ for our next promotion party on the Balcony!

Results wise, Southgate is doing his job. Performance wise it's atrocious. He got his pants fully pulled down tactically in the first half yesterday and we only applied real pressure when Slovakia opted to sit in and when he took Foden off which helped balance us out (far too late).
There is a clear imbalance in the squad as he sets it up and he doesn't seem to know how to fix it. He was bemoaning the lack of a replacement for Kelvin Phillips recently, all that says to me is that Southgate is too tactically unimaginative to figure out a solution. He's got the players, he's just not got the managerial ability to adapt to them.
As for the players, they aren't helping Southgate. The system they are playing isn't ideal, but they are executing poorly on top of it which just compounds the issue.
We have scraped through so far, but we haven't played anyone decent yet. The Swiss looked lively against Italy, and lively is not what we are right now.
Not wishing to disagree with your main points, as I agree on the whole... and I'm loathe to "defend" any of the England performances thus far, or indeed GS's tactics... but as a fully paid up Platinum member of the UK Pedants Society, I can't help but pull you up on those 3 little words in brackets.
It wasn't "far too late". It wasn't even a little bit too late. It was close run thing, sure. It was unattractive, but not ineffective. We got the win, so nothing was "Far too late".*As an aside/unrelated... I've predicted (in this thread) that England will go all the way to lifting the trophy. Whilst that still wouldn't surprise me, I'm only clinging to that prediction out of patriotism. If I had to put my hand in my pocket and lay a bet out, not only would my money go on England to fail to win the tournament, my money would also go on it being Switzerland to knock us out on Saturday. We've been THAT poor!
Patriotism over realism/expectation, sure. I'm not proud! (Nor am I a successful gambler!) 😁

Had a free airing of some (c)Rap "music" last night, courtesy of Derbyshire Cricket Club and the wind direction. Google informs me it was "D Block Europe"? (No, me neither!) 🤷♂️
The term "Rubbish" was the buzz word, both from a music perspective, and the state of the surrounding streets as early as 7pm as we cycled past, heading home from our day out.
I don't recall fans of Elton John, The Bublémeister, and Queen et al leaving the streets strewn with litter on such a massive scale.
Maybe the youngsters aren't as keen of looking after their planet as some like to make out!#scummyfeckers

From talking to a lot of people I know including Ben himself , it’s been about 3-4 weeks serious interest.
Warne actually contacted him after the season to ask about the contract situation but Ben had originally wanted to re-sign with the blades. However, they were in a mini embargo as they were in talks for a new owner so couldn’t offer new deals. Ben and my mate who own the Lonely Boy in Borrowash then went to scout a new celebrity-exclusive bar in the Algarve and Warne texted him daily and even asked if he’d like a special montage for his family e.g. a tribute thing for his dad. He really liked warnes down to earth approach and Ben’s very grounded so I guess the personalities clicked.
I take it these friends of yours are ok with you blurting out details of their transfer dealings/potential business ventures etc on t'everlasting t'internet?

Lyrically, this is off topic, so apologies for that, but I confirm that chewing gum does indeed lose it's flavour on the bedpost overnight.

Just added this fancy-dan app doodah to my i-phone for the first time. I'll give it a go.
Will it show the team line up at 10mins to kick off at PPS?
I never got anywhere with the Beeb website once I arrived at the ground, (for obvious reasons) and the teams have usually been "shouted out"(!) over the PA by the time I reach my seat. With all these new players incoming, I won't know who is who! 👀

Yellow has no place on a Derby County home shirt.
Should never have had yellow seats installed at Pride Park
Should never have trapped the Ram in a diamond with a yellow scarf.
Jim Smith’s team was my time, it’s the best I’ve seen, but the yellow, nah.
One man's yellow is another man's Centenary Gold...

Unfortunately much as with the streamed matches until prices are reduced it will happen. Got my £11.50 England shirt and can’t tell the difference. Shirts produced for less than a couple of £ being sold for £60+ is ridiculous.
Can you get me one mate?
I've PM'd the money to you.Keep the change.

That’s the attitude . Midweek game . Don’t like coming home in the dark . Another 8,000 crowd with 4,000 from Chesterfield? If we are MASSIVE , why can’t we sell out for a local derby game .

Show me a poster who has drummed up more DCFC bejeweled enthusiasm (over the years I've been on this forum), (and constantly contributed to the club's coffers, for that matter) than the one you are (loosely) aiming these comments at, and I'll call BS!
There's arguably only been the one poster, and sadly, he's no longer with us.
You get a 👎 from me.

Are my eyes deceiving me, or is the sponsor-stuff higher than normal? 🤷♂️
...Probably not a bad thing mind, as it saves the logo getting distorted on middle-aged-midriffs! 👀

No more of this "Swirls" nonsense! They are Rams Horns.
Anyone who can't see that should hand in their dcfcfans membership, and place themselves squarely in the bin! 👀I was gonna baulk at the price... but then remembered forking out €105 (from memory?) for that fancy Bob Marley Ajax shirt a couple of years ago, so I'll say no more!
Even with the sponsor on the front (I'm no fan of sponsor logos in general) it's far from offensive. Probably a 7/10 for me. But it's not nice enough for me to part with my dosh, but that's been the case for a good few years now.
I'll wait to check out the away/third shirts, and also take a closer look at warm-up/training tops, but for now, my wallet's staying closed. -

As a STH, but not away game-goer, It's pretty much...
Opening Game: Sadly Away... but it's live on Sky! Hoorah! ✅
Boxing Day: HOME ✅
Birthday ish: HOME-To both Watford AND Sunderland. ✅
Last match: HOME to Stoke. What a great way to confirm the play-offs! Bagsy first on the pitch! 👀 ✅
Home games likely to miss due to holidays; Only Cardiff (Sept), and Luton (Easter). I can live with that. ✅
Hardest Month: December... which is 5 to 8 weeks before the annual slump. Happy Days! ✅

On a bright note, for the very first time in my 61 years, I have in the last half an hour experienced one of them there power naps!
The best 7 minutes of the first half, I'd say! I can see why folk rate them highly.
