Worth noting Quantuma we’re imminently announcing a preferred bidder not a deal being completed. If Appleby is named this week then with the holidays that just about falls within imminent timeframe (only just).
Reasons it hasn’t been announced yet, clearly we’re not at a point where any offers meet what the creditors want, potentially Quantuma could be giving more time to see what the other bidders (we think it’s only Gadsby at this point) can offer to try and stimulate further bids to increase the offers.
Obviously there is only so long they can play this game for. If they manage to secure more funding (from MSD for example) they might want to drag the process out further, but more likely the preferred bidder will be named at some point in January and they will then enter a process of further negotiations with the creditors to strike a deal, which will probably take the remainder of the season.
Where will we end up, who knows. The positive is whoever the preferred bidder ends up being (likely Appleby) will be credible unlike what happened with the Wigan takeover where they got quite far along and it all fell apart. So once preferred bidder is confirmed we should take confidence we won’t be liquidated.
The key then is will they be able to agree a CVA? It would seem if reports on offers are to be believed and the fact it’s taking so long to announce a preferred bidder that there is still a gap between what they’re willing to accept and what has been offered. Unless that can be closed in the coming weeks/months we would have to agree a restructuring plan which would mean we start next season on minus points whatever division we’re in.
But we’re still speculating. We unfortunately have to trust the administrators to do their job and the outcome will be the outcome. Those comparing this to BZI and Alonso are not right to do so. This is completely different as Chancers are not involved and nor are Club owners with unreasonable demands. IMO a deal will be done before the end of the season and we will have clarity on the future, will know what division we’re in and where we will be starting from (zero or minus points). Not the best scenario but certainly not the worst scenario.

I'm a Sky Blue... Born Chaddy and moved to North of Coventry at the age of 2. Not sure I'm allowed a second team but have always looked out for your results and been a bit narked that DCFC never seem to make the big time despite the fantastic fan base.   My first game was a 0-0 in 1974 FA Cup tie at Highfield Rd.   Went today.  I agree with this comment and as the second half went on it looked like County would draw level.  A brief moment of entertainment in the stands was the side show before the goal.  Derby looked big in defence and fair play for commanding the best part of the second half.  City had a penalty call but it was waived away.  Hit the bar and had a goal disallowed.  But Derby were worth their draw.  Hope off the pitch problems get sorted out so that you stay up.

You know I've been on this forum for donkeys, and it never changes, same protagonists (mainly, some new ones ) same sack this, same change that, it's all boll@cks, whatever we say will have no impact, except on each other. Mel is the only one able to change thing's, and to my knowledge he doesn't read this. WR doesn't either, so nowt's gonna change cos we say so, and all this in fighting *yawn*
This is to me was a fun place, where we used to discuss stuff positively years ago, but now, like the rest of social media it's just getting toxic, and I'm more and more inclined to not post lest I get savaged. So hey ho, I've posted, and it will be taken up, don't expect a response, unless its worthy.
We as a club have been in a mess since MM decided to sell, having invested/gambled a fortune (one would like to think the benefit of the club, and himself.) it failed, and now like a failed gambler he is clutching at straws. It's a sad spectacle, but one we are only able to observe and not influence. Wayne, he's highly paid in this division,  and would be unlikely to earn that elsewhere (as what?) So why would he walk ?
With the EFL seemingly intent on our demise, we are collectively buggered. Enjoy the ride (this season) it's going to be interesting/painful,  and because it's likely to be painful, please stop bitching at each other for the sake of being (technically) on the same side. Let's try to play nicely.

I’m not sure where this lack of creativity idea comes from in the games so far…
I agree there’s a lack of goals….Neither CKR or Baldock have been prolific at any time in their careers so to suddenly expect in their twilight years is unrealistic and unfair. They offer what they offer and others will need to chip in with their fair share.
Yesterday was what it was. A pretty season against a very difficult opponent who were very much more focused on a scalp and a result than you’d expect in a pre season game….which is good for us and why higher leagues clubs play lower league clubs pre season!
It showed how difficult league 2 can be and I know it was scoffed at when I compared it to being almost a different sport but they are. No time on the ball. Big physical uncompromising men. Direct football aiming at getting the ball into the box from far different areas than what we’d be used to dealing with. They had a 5 man press when we tried to play out and they had big lumps waiting to head it when we had to play over that rather than round it or through it. It was exactly what you need to face pre season when up until now it had consisted of training games, shape work, largely unopposed situations and a game against a like minded and mirror image Man U.
Im not too upset by it. We created lots of chances. 1st half Aluku should have had 2 both coming from good football. Morrison could’ve done better with his header. Carrol was unlucky with a curling effort.
Second half Bird found Hutchinson (twice) and Sibley (ultimately for the goal) in identical positions as 10s on the half turn, from line breaking passes and all three times resulted in low crosses into the box from overlapping full backs, that could’ve been goal chances…even for the goal, forget it was an own goal…Hutchinson and Esobele were close and one of them would’ve scored even if the ball had been slightly misplaced (nos in the box). Add to that, McDonald played a lovely ball down the sides for Baldock who could’ve scored or I think he may have tried to play across goal where we had a player at the far post for a tap in….again midfield players in the box…then we have the gaping open goal from Baldock following more good interplay and movement around the box.
Realistically they only looked like scoring twice and the pen was soft at best, whereas we could’ve easily scored 5/6 or even 7. Had we come away with a 4-1 win we’d all be jumping up and down about how we could be ok…..let alone if we’d scored more!!!
Im not stupid, clearly we need players and clearly the end result was a loss and championship games will be a different kettle of fish but I feel we’re getting carried away and that’s not good whether it be over positive or over negative.
Finally I think Aluko is a wasted registration. He doesn’t offer anymore than some of the youngsters we have who can play that role (Esobele / Sibley / Hutchinson - maybe in that order). Carroll offers much the same as Bird. Bird is ours and come through our academy why bin him off for a 1 season pay day like Carroll? I’d see Watson as this type too so I’d happily have him as Birds back up as opposed to Bird being Carrolls back up?
Personally I’d push for 3 of the 4 signings to be centre backs to build an experienced base from. The top end of the pitch and the top end of the midfield areas don’t concern me too much.

Its obvious Jozwiak undoubtedly looks far more at ease surrounded with more intelligent and attacking technical players in a Poland shirt, in a team where the has the manager has the intelligence to make it clear which box the ball should be passed towards..
