I know it’s cheating a little but following on from the last game of last season really when he came on to give his all to keep us up, despite not recovering from a serious injury and not knowing if it was his last game in professional football, let alone for Derby.
But at his age, the desire, the passion, the influence he has on this team. I believe it’s infectious for the rest of the players and he must be such a positive role model for the young players coming through. He doesn’t have the armband on, but he’s certainly the captain of this football club.

Tell you what if Derby had a out &
out goal scorer, they could pull off the impossible. Have not been outclassed in any game this season & are playing for Wayne Rooney, the supporters & the shirt. All Derby supporters I am sure must be really proud of this team for not giving up.

May have been a bit harsh on him. I always want some end product to go with his speed, though tbf today he did use his speed to make a couple of great last ditch tackles. Gives his all as always and as he gets a bit more experience could be a real gem, cheers!

Just got back, not a great football match but will live long in the memory for the sheer guts we showed and the great atmosphere from all sides of the ground. That is the loudest the SW Upper has been for many years. Cannot recall an Albion chant after we scored, when the going got tough, they gave up. Really looking forward to going to Stoke, a local game for me and one where a win would be very sweet.

Daft Christmas Eve tradition, my kids both now at college, are still insisting on driving around looking at Christmas lights, probably have something like Heart Christmas on the radio, listening to cheesy Christmas songs. Go down the local to finish the evening.
Christmas Day, the youngest insists we have a made up quiz ,he’s been doing them for years, they last too long, cause real competitive urges, lightened only by grandparents having a reaction from too many Brussels sprouts. Once that’s over we usually pile everything into the dish washer, occasionally stand outside listening to how quiet it is and generally get well oiled; more so if no one has to drive for a Boxing Day game.
Sometimes I remember the fun I had as kid, board games past midnight, relatives getting sozzled and hope in years to come my kids will think the same. Christmas, New Years Eve are the 2 nights I tend to think of past family, so I do my best to create memories, even if they’re full of excess.
Sad to read some comments, wish happiness to others.

Pair Plange with Stretton if he can stay fit and we could have a potent strike duo in the comng years......issue maybe that the better Plange does the more others will get interested and he is only contracted till the end of the season.

Well said re Festy. The lad is doing really well in his first season at this level. As a supporter he's one name I like to see on the team sheet as he gets you off your seat as an exciting talent prepared to do what no-one else in the team is - really take his man on and attack, time after time.
So what if it doesn't work sometimes? I'd much rather he tried this and failed than jog 25 yards up the pitch then pass it 10 yards backwards when faced with an opponent. He'll learn the game at this level. And if keeps that attacking intent then he's got a great career ahead of him.
