SuffolkRam reacted to IlsonDerby in Match Thread: vs Bolton (A)
Cashin wasn’t emotionally ready to play… but was subbed on.
So is he or isn’t he emotionally ready to play?

SuffolkRam reacted to SK47 in David McGoldrick - joined Notts County
It's not the 20+ goals that we lose because in reality, if you buy a good striker, they could hit the ground and get the same numbers.
It's not the assists because they could also be replaced.
It's not even the personality because people come and go.
It's the spectacle the you can't replace. Football is entertainment and players like Didzy produce the moments we love to see, or atleast I do.
I fully understand his reason for going and I can't knock him for it, it's just the individual brilliance that I know we won't see again for a while.
What a signing for Notts though.

So disappointing to lose someone that was such a big part of last season.
However, it’s good that we haven’t gone lashing money out to try and keep him, with this being a decision from the heart for Didz it would have cost a lot to persuade him to stay.
Now we can make longer term decisions for the future of the team. Bring somebody in who can grow and develop beyond the two years McGoldrick probably has left.
Thanks for the fleeting visit Didz, you are some footballer and goal scorer. Hope it’s the ending to your career that you are after.

SuffolkRam got a reaction from SKRam in Sheffield Wednesday (A) Sun 7th May, 12:00 KO
Are you sure?
we are all cheesed off but mate, have a breather FFS.
The restrictions we have on us mean we were not shopping at the same places as others pre-season.
players in their prime don’t come for free and on 5k a week.

SuffolkRam reacted to vonwright in Knight, Bird and Sibley
Honestly if any of them were (say) 28 or 29 and they hadn't come through the youth system, we wouldn't be devastated to see them go if we got decent money and could reinvest the fees.
I'm sure they can all still get better, but they aren't kids any more and none of them look likely to make a major breakthrough. None of them looked far too good for League One (far from it).
I suspect if they do go it'll be for a lot less than most of us like to think.
That said, if we can't spent the money there's absolutely no point getting rid. We need a bigger squad, not a smaller one.

SuffolkRam reacted to littleover ram in Portsmouth (H) Sat 29th April
Even a semi final defeat would be a bonus money wise with one extra home game plus some TV cash. All helps with the Steve Gibson imposed business plan we're under for another season.

SuffolkRam reacted to europia in It’s been a great season …regardless.
For me the highlight has been the stability of the football club. Perhaps not as exciting as some of the excellent goals scored, but it's something of value that has been absent at DCFC for some time, prior to the arrival of Mr Clowes.

SuffolkRam reacted to YouRams in Bristol Rovers (A) Sat 15th April
We shouldn't be letting games get to the point where one decision defines it, it's Bristol Rovers, we sat back and allowed pressure from the moment we scored, no one to blame but ourselves.

SuffolkRam got a reaction from Ilkestonian in Jack Stretton
What game was it when he came on and put a decent effort over the bar?
Wonder if that was his “sliding doors” moment? Put that chance in and his confidence rises and he becomes a regular?
There seems to be a player there, hopefully he goes from strength to strength and forges a decent career for himself.
