1Wildsmith - 5 was very shakey from minute one, don’t blame him for the second goal as the conditions were awful and it was struck with some serious venom. Not his best game in a rams shirt.

2Wilson - 6.5 solid but not amazing

35Nelson - 7 defended well in tough conditions

6Cashin - 7.5 was good on the ball and broke up play well

17Sibley - 7.5 played really well bar the first 10/15 minutes agaisnt a tough player in Kamara.

23Ward - 9 thought he was excellent in his work rate and quality on the ball. Well done Joe Ward. Was also playing as a central midfielder almost so did very well in an unfamiliar role.

16Thompson - 7.5 looked very neat and tidy when he came on and was running everywhere. If Ward does have a knock I’d start tommo next week

12Smith - 7 steady and solid as always.

4Hourihane - 6

32Adams - 7.5 him and Korey work great together

27Blackett-Taylor - 8 thought he was superb all game, hopefully he can get a goal soon. Did amazing for our first and created some more chances. He’s really showing up lately.

14Washington 6

11Méndez-Laing - 6.5 not his best game.

9Collins - 7 great to see him back and looked after the ball well when isolated.

10Waghorn - 6

I thought Nelson and Cashin were given one of their hardest tests this season. Bishop is a constant menace and didn’t allow our heroes of this season a moment’s rest.

Wildsmith is having too many brain fade moments. Eyes on a move methinks.

1Wildsmith 5.5.......overall not great but made 2 very good saves

2Wilson 6.5.........defended well, didn't get forward much

35Nelson 7.......under serious pressure throughout in horrible conditions. Not his best game but decent.

6Cashin 7.5.......same as Nelson but marginally more composed.......apart from an awful cross to unmarked Collins at the back stick

17Sibley 7........did well against a very good winger

23Ward 8........goals get headlines but a very good performance overall

16Thompson 6.........did OK

12Smith 7.......a bit of a midfield Nyambe. Gets in defensive positions and jockeys players very well. Also a good organiser - one very obvious rollicking of CBT

4Hourihane 6....no time

32Adams 8.....another very good performance

27Blackett-Taylor 7.5......getting much better going forward. He must be very, very quick - for the first goal he looked like a bone idle stroller.....as he left about 4 of their players in his wake!

14Washington 6......no time

11Méndez-Laing 6......taking one for the team by playing up front. Not his best position and won't see him at his best until he goes out wide again imo.

9Collins 7.5........brilliant first half - genuinely excellent. Faded in second but you can see Warne's pecking order when Wash and Wag are kept on the bench until 80+ mins

10Waghorn 6......no time

Good game. Great point. Means Pompey won't be on the beach when they visit Bolton.

Watched on Sky TV. Interesting that, apart from Sir Curtis, the coverage - and commentary/co-comms - was inferior to Rams TV imo.

1Wildsmith 5.5 - I really like Joe as a player and I hope if we secure promotion, he will reconsider his stance. That said, the timewasting, the rushes of blood, their 2nd goal... He's not irreplaceable by any stretch.

2Wilson 7.0 - Worked hard and did pretty well on a tricky night to play football.

35Nelson 6.5 - Saw the nosebleed reappear again. A fair performance, but not one at his normal level, though he did work incredibly hard to try and cover Sibley who struggled all night.

6Cashin 7.0 - Steady on a difficult night for defences. Another who was drawn out of position trying to cover for others' mistakes.

17Sibley 6.0 - Really struggled. Finally managed to get close enough to Kamara to snap his spine and the latter was decidedly less of a threat thereafter. Louie's greatest weakness is his complete lack of pace, but in fairness to the lad, while he can manage the LB role, it's not his best position, not by a long way.

23Ward 8.5 - MOTM by a stretch. The lad has answered his critics in fine style and was excellent against the best side we'll face this season.

16Thompson 6.0 - Still looks a shadow of the player we saw early season, but he's getting very little game time and I think it's that as much as anything, that is holding him back. He's a baller, but he definitely needs game time and I'm not certain he'll get in under PW.

12Smith 7.5 - A calm and measured performance again from Korey. With us again utilising a 2 man MF, he had to work very hard and gave CBT a serious ear-bashing when he failed to provide support on the left flank. I'd love us to play a 3 man midfield, as I think it would add to our stability and balance. Asking players to cover extra ground on a pitch that heavy is perhaps too much.

4Hourihane 6.0 - Gets the median

32Adams 7.5 - He's here, he's there, he's every ******where. I was surprised at how niggly Portsmouth were, especially early on. Ebou was, of course, having none of it. He's the enforcer we all (well nearly all) knew we needed. Better late than never, but for once, no MOTM for a player who has monopolised that slot recently.

27Blackett-Taylor 7.5 - After a really tricky start, where he didn't seem to grasp the workload expected of him, this lad is now finding his stride and some. he was excellent last night and by and large, he worked really hard too. Korey hairdryered him for briefly switching off, but I think if we play 3 across the middle, there'd not be so much emphasis on his defensive duties. He's not a wingback and never will be, but this lad can play.

14Washington 6.0 - Gets the median

11Méndez-Laing 6.0 - Nate seems a tad off it and looked pretty frustrated at times last night. While he's wearing the armband, he has to keep that in check. This wasn't his best performance by a long chalk, but he did get plenty of 'attention' from Pompey and he'll bounce back in time.

9Collins 7.5 - So good to have Collo back. Understandably, we're not a great side when stripped of striking options and while he struggled to get much change out of their CBs, he kept them busy enough to create opportunities for others. Seemed to empty quite suddenly and perhaps it would have made sense to haul him off a little earlier. He'll be sharper for the outing, no doubt.

10Waghorn 6.0 - Gets the median.

WarneWatch - A mixed bag; on the one hand, we again set up with a 2 in midfield and to my eye, we gave them far too much space in the middle of the park, both early on and after the break. That said, he was as good as his word and sent out a team with serious attacking intent and one could sensibly argue that we were unlucky not to end up with all 3 points. Looking purely at the result, you'd have to say that this was another good night's work from the gaffer, his coaches and the players and the point secured might just be the difference come the end of the season.

1Wildsmith - 5.5 - shaky, not himself? - could he have done better, maybe, but conditions certainly didnt help, perhaps below average is a tad harsh, but didnt fill me with confidence

2Wilson - 6.5 - solid but stopped from getting forward

35Nelson - 6 - thought this was one of his harder games in a rams shirt, didnt look as calm as he normally does, drawn in for their first goal (which was superb by the way), conditions obviously didnt help

6Cashin - 7.5 - relished the conditions and more than made up for Nelson, breaking up play and playing with a sense of calmness

17Sibley -  7.5 - seen he's getting a lot of stick on Twitter/X from the usual suspects, but he is doing his job at LB, keeping their winger quiet, just a shame their first came from his side

23Ward - 8 - doing a fantastic job as somewhat of an inverted wide midfielder, 2 great goals (perhaps lucky with the 2nd), but work rate is fantastic

16Thompson - 7.5 - ratty, exactly what we needed for the final 20 of the game, doing a job as a second striker with collins and then dropping back into midfield, engine

12Smith - 7 - steady and solid

4Hourihane - 6 - not much to say

32Adams - 7.5 - him and Smith work great together, hope we can keep him, too good for League One

27Blackett-Taylor - 8 - superb, showing us what he can do just as NML is hitting a tough patch of form

14Washington - 6 - not much to say

11Méndez-Laing - 6.5 - finding it hard playing through the middle almost in a free role, dip in form but plugging away

9Collins - 8 - we have missed him, hold up play and playing in isolation fantastic, work rate for someone coming off the back of an injury like that is commendable

10Waghorn - 6 - not much to say

1Wildsmith 5.5  Made a couple of decent saves, but worries me to death everytime the ball goes near him.

2Wilson 6  Struggled to get forward as much as usual, combination of weather conditions and their hard press.

35Nelson 6.5  Not as assured as normal, the weather didnt help or the pressure they put him under.

6Cashin 7  Probably just shaded Nelson on performance. His long balls down the line helped take pressure off.

17Sibley 6  Defensively he struggled, out of position for their first goal too.

23Ward 8.5  Worked hard and 2 beautiful strikes even if one was deflected in.

16Thompson 6  Worked hard when he came on.

12Smith 7   Looking a good midfield partner for Adams.

4Hourihane 6  Ok

32Adams 8  Covered every blade of grass.

27Blackett-Taylor 7  Made some great runs and seems to be improving each game he plays.

14Washington 6  Not enough time to influence the game

11Méndez-Laing 6  Maybe tried too hard, not sure the armband helps him either.

9Collins 6.5  Chased and harried all the match.

10Waghorn 6  Ok

I agree Nelson and Cashins hardest test this season.
