Match Thread: vs Northampton Town (a)

Recommended Posts

Need NML on the right against their left back and get CBT on for Hourihane so we have an outlet on both wings.

Also would get Smith on for Thompson, Smith and Adams seem to work well together and they’ll get the ball moving a lot faster than Hourihane.

Hourihane off for Smith and (harsh on him as he's done alright, but someone would have to be sacrificed to change system) Thompson off for CBT at half time. Think someone (CBT) a bit wider on the left would give Sibley a bit more freedom to get forward too... everything seems to be coming down the right and that's because NML and/or Waggy naturally drift towards that side leaving the left a bit open.

We need to move it quicker and let’s try and play a ball that passed with real intent …fizz it into players feet …a lot of our passes have more bobbles than one of Warnes hats!!
poor first half and can only get better!!!! surely!!!

We need to move the ball forward much more quickly, Northampton get back and organised into 2 rows of four and don’t leave much room.

We normally trying and move forward too quickly, but are the opposite today. Pitch is bobbly, not really the time to knock it round the back

Yeah, Waggy just doesn't lead the line.

Neither does Laing.  Cost of not bringing in a striker who can last more than 5 games. Either way, worst it should be is 0-0.  It isn't thanks to the ref and Bradley playing in concrete boots.
