5Bradley 6 hard having to come in  between Nelson and Cash but won his share of the ball; Hourihane got in his way for Martin's header

11Méndez-Laing 8 our best player again, loving his directness and confidence - long may it continue.

9Collins 6.5 worked really hard again first half; faded when we changed shape

10Waghorn 6 didn't do any better than Collins but he smiles more so he doesn't get the same flak; I would have brought JJ on instead - and earlier

1Wildsmith 7 Good save. Takes a mean deep free kick.

24Nyambe 6 Not one of his better days.

35Nelson 7.5 Solid and brought ball forward well too.

6Cashin 7.5 Decisive, won his battle with Martin mostly. Very good use of the ball. Weak offensive headers.

17Sibley 6.5  Not too bad considering out of position. But no composure at crucial attacking moments like the chance he had.

4Hourihane 6.5 some lovely passing and the odd decent dead ball but some crap ones too.

7Barkhuizen 6 not much to comment on, needs a confidence boost. Didn't do much wrong.

2Wilson 6.5 Some bright moments.

12Smith 5 Not his day, let players break through, minimal impact, time for Fornah to take over.

22Fornah 7.5 Keeps and uses ball well and finally got to see him drive forward with him creating the move for the winner, pressing up high, lovely trick and acceleration, good pass to pick out NML. 

8Bird 7.5 Good game. Has become much more of a positive presence, really pressing and using the ball quickly and creatively, rather than the safe and ponderous stuff of last season.  Pleasing physicality added to the silky skills. Can't decide if he messed up his chance to score 2nd half. It was great defending, but could he have shot a fraction sooner?

5Bradley 6 He is just not the dominant force we expected. Did nothing wrong but seems passive and quiet.

11Méndez-Laing 8 Constant menace throughout the game. Used his pace and power to great effect, especially with the first goal. Last year we'd only get 60 minutes of this.

9Collins 6 Some good pressing, not much else. 

10Waghorn 6.5 seemed to be more involved and effective at holding up than Collins during his cameo.

1Wildsmith - 7 a great first half saves, nothing he could do for the goal and dealt well with crosses coming into the box.

24Nyambe - 6.5 one of his worst games in a derby shirt and he still was good. Get him signed 

35Nelson - 7.5 an animal at the back, such a crucial player for us

6Cashin - 7.5 great as always

17Sibley - 6.5 did what he had to do, impressive since he was back at left back, still think he has the worst decision making in our squad though.

4Hourihane - 6.5 looked slightly better yesterday, didn’t do much wrong but wasn't anything special either

7Barkhuizen - 5.5 probably his worst game since his comeback from injury IMO

2Wilson - 6 was more quiet than usual when he came on but did well when called up at both ends of the pitch yesterday 

12Smith - 5 was very poor 

22Fornah - 7.5 was excellent when he came on. Did ridiculously good work for the winner. And if Jack hunt didn’t put it in his own net he could have had a goal aswell. Was everywhere hope he starts on Tuesday.

8Bird - 6.5 had some nice touches and link up play with NML but wasn’t at his best. 

5Bradley - 6 did what he had to but looked average at best again 

11Méndez-Laing - 8.5 was unreal in the final third yesterday as he has been for a while now. The best winger in the league at the moment I reckon. Keep him fit and we will keep winning. 

9Collins - 6 was living off scraps yesterday, but as always worked tirelessly. 

10Waghorn - 6 wasn’t on for long enough to really rate.

35Nelson 7.0 - Fairly solid game

6Cashin 7.0 - some great tackles, occasional sledge hammer pass when a bit more finesse was required

17Sibley 6.5 - Had a better second half after switching position. Did not look comfortable at left back.

4Hourihane 6.0 - Just feel he has so much more to offer, but often takes the easy option

7Barkhuizen 5.5 - Largely anonymous

2Wilson 6.5 - Added another option to our otherwise predicable attacking play

12Smith 5.5 - Did not not impose himself in midfield and largely out muscled

22Fornah 7.0 - Great to see him set up ML with a great pull back. will do his confidence the world of good

8Bird 6.5 - Mixed bag

5Bradley 5.5 - Did not seem to know his role at the F/K that led to the equaliser, trying to get guidance from the management

11Méndez-Laing 8.0 - A great display of power and pace, nice finish for the winner.

9Collins 6.0 - Worked hard on scraps in the first half

1Wildsmith - 7 - Great save in the first half. Quiet game aside from that.

24Nyambe - 7 - Solid as usual, never stops running. Looks the fittest player in the squad by a mile.

35Nelson - 7 - Hardly put a foot wrong.

6Cashin - 7 - Same as Nelson.

17Sibley - 7 - Had a good game, unlucky to not score. Somehow was our best attacking player in the first half while play left back.

4Hourihane - 5 - Anonymous. Part of a midfield that was thoroughly beaten once again.

7Barkhuizen - 5 - Linked up well with Nyambe but was overall poor. Seemed scared to take his man on.

2Wilson - 6 - Did alright when he came on.

12Smith - 4 - Had a dreadful game. Misplaced passes, dispossessed easily. Worst player on the pitch.

22Fornah - 7 - Looked great when he came on. Big part in the 2nd goal.

8Bird - 6 - Quiet game. Only gets a 6 because he was marginally better than Hourihane.

5Bradley - 5 - Beaten for the goal.

11Méndez-Laing - 8 - Quiet first half but a brilliant 2nd half. Looked a threat everytime he had the ball. Carried us on his back.

9Collins - 5 - Invisible for most of the game but had zero service. His only notable contribution was ruining a counter in the first half by blasting a cross 30 yards over everyones heads.

10Waghorn - 6 - Similar to Bradley in that he had little time but he had a few moments where he looked calm and composed which we badly needed.

1Wildsmith 7 Terrific first half save, solid throughout, no chance with their goal

24Nyambe 6 Solid enough, tried to get forward

35Nelson 7 Chris Martin's still in his pocket

6Cashin 7 Some great interceptions

17Sibley 5.5 Defensive weak link, first half was beaten at will. Not surprisingly a bit better when moved forward.

4Hourihane 6 Looks off the pace most of the time but kept play ticking

7Barkhuizen 6 As often, started brightly then faded

2Wilson 7 Injected some much needed pace and trickery

12Smith 5 Seemed to struggle, could do with moving the ball a bit quicker.

22Fornah 7 Brought some pace to the midfield. Excellent run for the winner.

6Cashin 8.0 - Love this lad, but he needs to time his runs for crosses and feee kicks - there's goals in him if he does

17Sibley 7.05 - Love Sibbo too and he put in a good defensive shift and worked hard for his teammates 

4Hourihane 6.0 - Frustrates me a little as he is the least consistent player, when ought really be the most. Didn't do too much wrong in fairness, but the game was crying out for a moment of quality from him

7Barkhuizen 5.0 - Barks is right off it and needs time out to rediscover his mojo. I think his confidence is at a low ebb.

2Wilson 7.0 - Always adds something to our game and unlike some, I don't think he's just an impact sub. 

12Smith 5.0 - Yeah, not his best game. Not sure how Korey fits into the side right now

22Fornah 7.5 - His introduction along with Wilson seemed to spark us to life. For me, he should be starting games.

8Bird 6.5 - Classy, but quiet by his own high standards.

5Bradley 6.0 - Gets blamed for everything it seems to me - not half as bad as some make out and I hope he has the character to battle through and show it.

11Méndez-Laing 9.0 - Probably not a 9.0 really, but who cares, he was the catalyst and featured in nearly everything good on the day - clear MOTM, which he seems to be as often as not right now. 

9Collins 6.0 - Been in good form of late, but this was not his best outing 

10Waghorn 6.0 - Can't actually remember so I've given Waggy a baseline 6.0 - nice to have him back fit!

1Wildsmith - 6 - generally OK and not at fault for the goal but got lucky with one in the first half which he deflected on to the post

24Nyambe - 6.5 - can't fault effort but not at his usual Fort Knox level

35Nelson - 7 - steady and solid as ever

6Cashin - 7.5 - all-action display and nearly kept Martin quiet

17Sibley - 6.5 - some good, some bad, but probably his best performance in any position for a few games

4Hourihane - 5.5 - he's in there for his quality, but he isn't delivering it enough

7Barkhuizen - 5 - getting tired of saying the same things about his performances

2Wilson - 6.5 - improved what we had to offer going forward and generally tidy in all areas

12Smith - 5 - just not up to it, again. Can count his decent performances on the fingers of one hand

22Fornah - 6.5 - great to see him hyped up after his determined run led to the winner, and generally did OK

8Bird - 6.5 - plenty of endeavour; not quite at his usual standard

5Bradley - 6 - did nothing wrong

11Méndez-Laing - 8 - with an extra couple of half-marks for his goal involvements, takes him past Cashin as top performer on the day

9Collins - 5.5 - grafted once again but not a good performance
