v Burton Albion (A) Match Thread

Today has been much better, but it shouldn’t then lead to a massive pendulum swing in mood again (and I am typically a positive, blind optimist!).

3 good goals, and hopefully a clean sheet away from home is great. There’s been more control in the press and a little more organisation in defence. Washington and Collins competition to outscore Didzy is up and running. The away kit looks good. And most importantly for me, the unity and commitment of all the players was clearly evident.

However there were large parts of the game where we had no control in midfield, we did look nervous at the back in the first half, and there are more challenges to come.

What today shows, as the games against Wigan and Blackpool did too, is there are some good things and some bad, and there’s time to improve it all.

Not sure we deserve 3-0 but I will take it all day long!

Burton have been piss poor second half, we have had plenty of chances without looking world beaters. Hopefully this will be a confidence booster for the team and we can get better especially in the middle of the pitch.

Collins MOM for me

I need to try not caring like some others on here…

Nice reversal of the accusation, often aimed at people who only pop up during a defeat and seemingly gloat in the misery, that they want us to lose.

I'm just parroting what's said on here. If you don't believe that people on here have been wanting Warne out or saying that he's on borrowed time then that's up to you.

A win against Burton doesn't change anything, I agree. Much like a narrow loss against Wigan doesn't either.

You've already been shown to have been talking rubbish, with evidence

And no, the Wigan defeat doesn't change anything - that's the problem -  it was points dropped against a team who'll finish top half and be in direct competition with us for a.playoff place, the very thing that stumped out our chances last season.
