Sparkle
At least they didn’t put out their best players? I don’t know what their best players would be ? Anyway they can concentrate on getting those 10 one nil wins to finish 16th if everything goes well for them
Steve Buckley’s Dog
Lost in the cup? Probably best to concentrate on the league and leave the competition to Premier League teams who can actually win it, like Burnley and Everton. Could have been worse. Harrogate lost 8-0 tonight, Blackburn’s biggest win since putting seven past Notts Forest. Mind you Harrogate had a shot on target tonight which is something the Bakery Burners didn’t manage. Bless them. Maybe they need to spend more money and buy more players? Comrade 86 and Rammy03

I'm reliably informed that the Notts Forest coachbuilders have put the mockers on that idea. Apparently when the Gumps asked whether another coach could be added to accommodate the 213 man senior squad, they were told to stop taking the piss and if they wanted more space they could **** off and add it themselves. I'm guessing the firm must be owned by a season ticket holder 😑 Edited August 30, 2023 by Comrade 86 scout's dad and SKRam

Nice to see the gumps getting a bit of similar medicine to us last year. Most interesting thing in that article is the revelation that his dad used to play?! JfR
Is it just me, or do Forest always seem to go absolutely mental on the last day of the transfer window? Sounds like they've got a half dozen players coming in today. Rammy03

Day
Hudson Odoi interesting one, lost his way since the injury and insane money Bayern were offering. Still only 22 as well which seems crazy. If they can get him up and running then that £45m for Johnson will be phenomenal business for them as that's a hell of a lot of money for him, one that Spurs may come to regret. Would be better off taking a punt on Hudson Odoi themselves. Comrade 86
HorsforthRam
Sangare is a great player. Off loading Johnson for £45M and getting Sangare, Hudson and potentially Origi is really good business. Unfortunately, they’re establishing themselves alram

Sure, there's a chance he rediscovers what he had, but I doubt he'll ever get to the top level now. Don't think it would be a great signing for Spurs. Has to be said, Spurs have had a pretty shoddy track record for spending relatively large sums on young British signings in recent years. Ryan Sessegnon for £25m, Djed Spence for £20m, Jack Clarke for £10m, and arguably Joe Rodon for £11m all seem like poor investments in retrospect. He's only 22, he's got like another 4 years until you would expect him to reach his prime. It really depends on where his head his at, this is his first permanent move away from Chelsea and you would expect him to be in the first 11 week in week out so game time won't be an issue like it was at Chelsea. He won't have the same level of players around him obviously, just think if he can find some kind of form, notch up a few assists and goals they could have a real player on their hands. JfR
Also, apparently Hudson-Odoi was the player on Chelsea's books with the most goals for them, with only 16, which sounds like it shouldn't be true.

The successes of Gareth Bale, Eric Dier and Dele Allí went to their heads. They’ve spent a lot of money on complete duds in recent years, none more so than the £60m they spent on Ndombele. Marriot Ram99
Can't mock Forest too much atm when they have received the value of our club for one of their youth prospects and we only get a mill here or there for our best players and are signing players likenl Hudson Odoi. alram and Red_Dawn 1
