Well done to Owen and contributors, welcome attention - but it was only a short and superficial skim about the crisis.

It might provoke some listeners to look further into the timeline and the issues but the Radio 1 news magazine seems aimed at those with a 30-second attention span.

The headline items were Adele deferring her concert residency due to Covid ruining her planning, and an item about a girl being duped by an online scam and parting with money.

Bit here?

Star of the Commons debate the other day.

Bury North MP James Daly

Football Governance debated on Monday 14 June 2021

House of Commons Westminster Hall

The big premier league clubs around us did nothing. Manchester United and Manchester City did not come knocking on the door, saying, “What can we do to help?” There was nothing, and no local authority. The fans of Bury have been left to themselves.

The recent debate regarding the super league was very nice. It suited certain people on TV to be outraged by that, but those same people never defended Bury or AFC Wimbledon because they do not care.

……………………….sums up Sky TVs pundits crocodile tears perfectly

Yes, I do wonder if without Rooney there would even have been a tear shed by Sky et al?

Can't be that bit.  Boro hardly get a mention, and certainly don't get "ripped into"!

You're right. Its what I was told but its all a bit of an anticlimax . At least he is raising awareness, but so many things wrong with his analysis.

Derby fans are not powerless, we can and will stop this in whatever way we can.

As for the EFL well he isn't reading the room there at all Nobody expecting them to pay our debts FFS. Just let a deal take place with any one of the three bidders..

There was a snippet of Rick parry from five live on radio Derby and he just sounded so prickly and start moaning about the trial of social media. He offered no leadership. Guy is weaker than boris Johnson.

Trial by social media. Shame EFL can't control   social media like they do Sky Sports, or feed stories to their favoured journalists in MSM.

Been in contact with loads of former players to make them aware of the severity of the situation at the minute, and there will be a load of videos coming through over the next few days. Keep an eye out to see some more in due course from either myself (ryanhills27) or the equally brilliantly first named Ryan Bourne (mrrbourne)

Fantastic, big fan of Morten and looking forward to seeing more of these ex player videos.
