So the argument that we’re not a worthwhile investment at the costs quoted becomes slightly more viable the further uncertainty grows around championship status due to tv money, potential for crowds to drop etc, though there were definitely quotes once upon a time suggesting interested parties accepted we were unlikely to be in the championship next season. Still don’t understand people suggesting they’re waiting for a “better deal” as the buyer, the costs are either “here’s the amount of debt that needs to be paid to acquire the club and avoid a 15 point deduction” OR “this is what I’ll pay to service some of the debt and will take the -15 points on next season”…. Urgh it’s all such a mess. Cheers Mel/EFL/Gibson/Coughig/Keogh/Zamora/Putin/Nasty Nick et al Hopefully Ashley or one of the others can see the potential of the club when ran properly. Yani P Posted March 3, 2022 Share Posted March 3, 2022 I'm not convinced whoever the buyer is is actually that bothered about whether we are in L1 or not..If they were, they would have pulled up trees to get a deal done in January that would have pretty much ensured Championship football next season. It feels like it's just rich individuals trying to scrape together as cheap a deal as they can get away with.
